In conventional Numerical Control (NC) machining of sculptured surface based on triangular facet model, to calculate each Cutter Location (CL) point of the flatted cutter, only few facets were actually used in the calculation of the tool projection region. However, most calculations were conducted to search those triangular facets overlapped by the tool projection region from the total facet set. To overcome such weakness, a novel rectangle envelope method was proposed, in which most facets outside the projection region were filtered out. During the course of a searching process, all facets overlapped by the tool projection region were saved independently so as to avoid searching the total STL (STereo Lithography) file again in next steps. For each facet overlapped by the tool projection region, the CL point was calculated by the cutter contract points with the vertexes, sides and the plane, finally the tool-path was obtained. Simulation experiment was used to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

IEC flickermeter has been widely accepted as an international standard for flicker severity measurement. But it is unable to measure flickers caused by high frequency interharmonics. This paper analyzes the cause of the problem. Based on the heat balance equation and thermal radioluminescence characteristics of incandescent lamp, the equation of luminous flux of lamp that can express the impact of interharmonic is established and an improved flickermeter model is proposed. Comparison between computer simulation of models and lab.experiment results show that the improved flickermeter model can overcome the IEC flickermeter deficiency effectively.

To investigate the low-complex and high-precise tracking method, a novel single link tracking scheme based on UWB localization is proposed. Two antenna arrays are settled at the fixed station (FS) to receive the UWB signal from mobile terminal (MT), one FS is enough for the proposed scheme to track the MT. The UWB multipath detection algorithm for time difference of arrival (TDOA) estimation is presented and TDOA is thus adopted to estimate angle of arrival (AOA), avoiding the synchronization and complicated beamforming for AOA. The impacts of localization errors, concluding multipath and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) errors are simulated for the proposed track scheme. It is demonstrated that the simulation curve can match the real target moving, and the feasibility of the proposed scheme is proved.

Based on SMIC 0.35 μm mixed signal process, a forth-order active-opamp RC low-pass filter used in GSM/WCDMA communication system is presented. The filter meets the bandwidth specifications of the PDC and WCDMA standards especially the high IIP3, and shares the maximum number of components between the two modes. The total area is 1578 μm × 515 μm. The operational amplifiers with adjustable GBW were used to optimize GSM-mode power consumption. The capacitance matrix was used to tune the cutoff frequency with the consideration of the varieties of the temperature and technology. Also, the capacitances were made partially over-laping to reduce the resistance spread. The measured noise figure is 56 dB and 43 dB in the GSM and WCDMA modes, respectively. In the WCDMA mode, the IIP3 is 34 dBm, and the power dissipation is 17.9 mW;While in the GSM mode, the circuit consumes 11.3 mW. The supply volatge is 3.3 V.

A novel scheme of draw-out coils which are utilized in the power supply of the transmission-line state parameters online monitoring system is proposed, aiming at the ubiquity of problems in existing literatures that the draw-out coils are prone to deep saturation and high heat consumption, and thus the circuits are complex. These problems are resolved through introducing an air-gap magnetic resistance to the draw-out coils, as well as properly matching parameters such as the configuration of the coil, the material of the magnetic core, turn numbers and air gap length. Then a power supply equipment is developed based on the draw-out coil aforementioned. Integral test results illustrate that the power supply provides stable outputs with no saturation and low heat consumption throughout the alternating range of conducting currents. Besides, this paper analyzes the influence of abnormal large currents through the conductor on reliability of the power supply. Detailed measures to enhance the reliability are presented thereon. Short circuit and impulse current tests show that the measures proposed are capable of restraining the demolishment from electrodynamic force and overvoltage caused by the abnormal large current.

Software fault tolerance technique is used to ensure high reliability. In order to evaluate the quality of fault-tolerant systems, expected execution time and cost must be considered. A new evaluation strategy is proposed to evaluate, evaluating the system with three groups of quality factors, which is the capability, the time and the cost. By using them, the system's integrative quality factor can be calculated. When applying this strategy, we compare the quality of software systems which is consist of different fault-tolerant components. The results can be used to improve fault-tolerant system. To achieve the required optimal result, several optimization schemes are given to meet different project demands.
