From the view of combination of stereo vision and robot control, an active stereo vision for object tracking and location system is built to work on flexible manufacturing system. A method based on local HSV image and shape of object to recognize object is used for robot tracking. After the color segment, use the knowledge of shape of objects to recognize objects. And a technique for camera calibration based on plane square is proposed. It only requires the camera to observe a square at two (or more) different unknown orientations. Use the result of object recognize and camera calibration the robot can position and track the object. At the last of the paper, the results of object tracking experiments prove that the method is correct.

A substation three-phase nonlinear state estimation method based on zero impedance branches helps to identify topology and analogy errors at substation level and accordingly enhances the control center's state estimation reliability and accuracy. Some issues during the practical implementation process of the technology are reported, such as the hardware configuration, measurement integration, the communication between substation and control center, time setting and period selection. The benefits of the proposed technology have also been analyzed. It is shown that this technology has high reliability and low burden on communication, and improves the ability of monitoring of power grids and the reliability of the real-time power network model significantly. The proposed technology is verified effective by both simulation experiments and field-site applications in East China Power Grid, and is well qualified for real-time online applications, which has broad popularization and application prospects.

This paper discusses the robustness of nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) based on sub-optimal solution obtained under reduced precision solution (RPS) criteria. NMPC needs to solve the optimal control problem (OCP) quickly and the input is injected to the controlled plant in time. Traditional convergence criteria in optimization algorithms usually cost excessive long computation time with little improvement of solution, which results in degradation of control performance eventually. RPS criteria are new convergence criteria for deciding whether the current iterate is good enough and whether the optimization procedure should be terminated. It can terminate the optimization process timely. This work pays special attention to robustness of the closed-loop system controlled by NMPC with RPS criteria when model plant mismatch exists. Simulations demonstrate that the proposed algorithm owns good robustness and stability.

A substation topology error identification method based on comprehensive rules, including rules in different spatial scales such as element level, bay level and voltage level as well as rules in time sequence, is presented. Utilizing the superiority in multi-source, redundancy and rapid measurement in the substation, the multi spatial scale relevant rules of element, bay and voltage level as well as multi time sequence rules are proposed, and concrete implementation approach for such a method is given. The proposed method can improve the ability to identify the topology error, especially ability to identify switches without analog measurement, thus more reliable topological structure can be provided to control centre to improve the reliability of state estimation for the whole power system. Results of simulation and practical application show that the proposed method is effective.

This paper discusses period properties of some linear maps which are employed in various applications such as image encryption, public key cryptography and watermarking. Conditions for the bijectiveness of such maps and the existence of a period are presented. Period structure is also given. Then, the recurrence equation theory is adopted to address the period distribution problem. Finally, a framework to solve the problem is proposed with a demonstration of its effectiveness and efficiency into some applications.
