As a combination of various kinds of technologies, autonomous vehicles could complete a series of driving tasks by itself, such as perception, decision-making, planning and control. Since there is no human driver to handle the emergency situation, future transportation information is significant for automated vehicles. This paper proposes different methods to forecast the time series for autonomous vehicles, which are the nearest neighborhood (NN), fuzzy coding (FC) and long short term memory (LSTM). First, the formulation and operational process for these three approaches are introduced. Then, the vehicle velocity is regarded as a case study and the real-world dataset is utilized to predict future information via these techniques. Finally, the performance, merits and drawbacks of the presented methods are analyzed and discussed.

| The demand for sophisticated tools and approaches in heat management and control has triggered fast development of emerging fields including conductive thermal metamaterials, nanophononics, far-field and near-field radiative thermal management, etc. In this review, we cast a unified perspective on the control of heat transfer, based on which the related studies can be considered as complementary paradigms toward manipulating physical parameters and realizing unprecedented phenomena in heat transfer using artificial structures, such as thermal conductivity in heat conduction, thermal emissivity in radiation, and properties related to multi-physical effects. The review is divided into three parts that focus on the three main categories of heat flow control, respectively. Thermal conduction and radiation are emphasized in the first and second parts at both macro- and micro-scale. The third part discusses the efforts to actively introduce heat sources or tune the material parameters with multi-physical effects in both conduction and radiation, including works using thermal convection. We conclude the review with challenges in this research topic and new possibilities about topological thermal effects, heat waves, and quantum thermal effects. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. With the rapid development of modern cities, urban rail transit is becoming an important means to alleviate urban traffic congestion and achieve green travel with its advantages of safety, punctuality, efficiency and environmental protection. At present, Communication-based Train control System (CBTC) is the most widely used operation control system in the urban rail transit system. The train-ground communication system is a crucial part of the CBTC systems. Handover in train ground communication system happens frequently, which make it vulnerable to jamming attacks. In this paper, the stochastic game is used to model the handover process in the CBTC system when jamming attacks are launched against it. With the objective to minimize the train control energy consumption and train operation curve tracking error, the optimal defense strategy of the system is calculated. Extensive simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of our optimal strategy.

In this paper, designed a swirling feeder for biomass tar, The numerical simulation of flow characteristics and temperature field heat transfer characteristics of the internal flow field was performed. Mixture multiphase flow model and Reynolds stress turbulence model are used, in the case of different feed flow ratios, Solved the internal flow field, concentration field and temperature field;Through research shows that when the flow ratio i = 0.6 ∼ 0.8, Biomass tar can enter the reactor through the feeder without causing coking. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper proposes a vision-based online fruit and vegetable inspection system. This system consists of two parts: the online detection of fruits and vegetables and the online weighing measurement of fruits and vegetables. Online detection system can detect the species of fruits and vegetables, and through the database to get the unit price of fruits and vegetables. The image processing includes image pre-processing, filtering, background removal, noise filtering and hole filling for recognition, and analysis of blocks. The weight of the fruits and vegetables is obtained by gravity sensor. Prices of fruits and vegetables can be displayed in real time in order to achieve the goal of unattended retail. This study built an online fruits and vegetables detection system which may be accelerated in the future for commercial uses. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, based on the advantages of imported control system and equipment, we designed a new type of automatic control system and equipment for gas well dewatering, by which the daily use of mobile phone can be used as a remote control terminal system. It has the advantages of convenient use, low cost, no need to design the PC software, free maintenance and upgrade PC software costs. Sulige Gas Field has used this system on 20 wells for mass operation test. The systems are till working until now, the equipment runs stably, and the economic benefit is remarkable. U disk data extraction is fast and convenient, and the management cost is reduced by 80%. The number of managing wells of per person is increased. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Advances in 3D printing is penetrating in many industries. It is changing the way of doing manufacturing business and people's life. Performing energy and related environmental impact analysis of this technology is necessary and profound. In this paper, energy modelling is studied for FDM printing from a life cycle perspective. For a typical FDM life cycle, the stages covered are material production, printing, post-processing and related transportation. For each stage, energy consumption is modelled and measures for unit energy consumption are also proposed to assist quick calculation of a life cycle energy consumption. Besides, the machines used in different stages are analysed and the main energy consuming components are summarised. Based on a sample part, preliminary calculation of its life cycle energy consumption is presented, showing that life cycle energy saving is possible, particular with collective efforts from different stages. This offers additional data to select an energy-efficient manufacturing process. Copyright © 2017 Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.

The novel tool mainly consists of a homodyne frequency-shifting interference pattern phase locking system and a substrate stage with a grating interferometer system for XY displacement measurement. The phase locking system employs a special self-made homodyne redundant phase measuring interferometer (HRPMI) as the sensor and two acousto-opto modulators (AOM) as the actuator. By this configure, the phase locking system is very simplified and the power in several tens of micro-Watt is enough. The grating interferometer system works by combining four interferometer arrays on the fixed metrology frame and four grating rulers on the moving substrate stage. Due to the short dead optical path, the system is very environmental robust even if in a large environmental enclosure without demanding stability. The errors of the tool caused by different kinds of sources and imperfections are very complicated and can be separated into several categories. Detail error evaluation for two categories has been done for the initial experimental setup and both errors are several nanometres (3a, A=251.1nm). controlling accuracy of the initial experimental setup achieves ±4.17nm (3a, A=251.1nm).

According to the standard for the GSM for railway(GSM-R) wireless systems in China train control system level 3(CTCS-3),the control data transfer delay should be no larger than 500 ms with greater than99% *** of both non-redundant networks and intercross redundant networks and cases of single Mobile terminals(MTs) and redundant MTs on one train are considered,and the corresponding vehicle-ground communication models,delay models,and fault models are *** simulation results confirm that the transfer delay can meet the standard requirements under all *** particular,the probability is greater than 99.996% for redundant MTs and networks,and the standard of transfer delay in CTCS-3 will be improved inevitably.

A Bayesian approach for joint beamforming and tracking is presented, which is robust to uncertain direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation in millimeter wave (mmWave) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems. The uncertain or completely unknown DOA is modeled as a discrete random variable with a priori distribution defined over a set of candidate DOAs, which describes the level of uncertainty. The estimation problem of DOA is formulated as a weighted sum of previously observed DOA values, where the weights are chosen according to a posteriori probability density function (pdf) of the DOA. In particular, we present a motion trajectory-based a priori probability approximation method, which implies a high probability to perform a directional estimate within a specific spatial region. We demonstrate that the proposed approach is robust to DOA uncertainty, and the beam tracking problem can be addressed by incorporating the Bayesian approach with an expectation maximization (EM) algorithm. Simulation results validate the theoretical analysis and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed solution.
