Infrared small target detection (IRSTD) is a technique that has been developed to detect small and faint targets in cluttered backgrounds. It shows extensive use in medical diagnosis and aircraft navigation. However, due to the limited feature information and low signal-To-noise ratio, accurately detecting infrared targets and avoiding false alarms is a challenging task. Our study presents a Coarse-To-Fine Feature Extraction Network (CFFENet) for accurately classifying targets and backgrounds in blurred images. This network consists of a Two-stream Region Proposal Network (2s-RPN) and a Region Refinement Attention Network (RRAN), specifically designed to tackle the problem of false alarms. Specifically, 2s-RPN adds edge features to the RPN, in order to enable the network to extract discriminative information between targets and false alarms, so as to provide reliable coarse candidate boxes. In RRAN, firstly, attention-based encoder is used to extract the attention-Aware features in candidate boxes, and predicted mask map is output through multi-layer perception (MLP). Subsequently, the refined feature map is further processed by attention encoder, and MLP is utilized to generate the ultimate detection results. The effectiveness of our approach is validated through comparative experiment, which shows its superiority over representative state-of-The-Art IRSTD methods. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Based on the geophysics technology, a gravity gradient-terrain matching submarine navigation approach is proposed in this paper. The submarine's current position obtained by matching the measured gravity gradient data to the prepared gravity gradient reference map is used to correct the inertial navigation system's accumulated error. Although the precision gradiometer is in use, there is no world-wide gravity gradient map. The ocean's gravity gradient data is even scarce. Therefore, a gravity gradient matching navigation system directly utilizing the gravity gradient reference map can't be realized. With the sensitivity of gravity gradient to terrain, the gravity gradient reference map can be computed from the local terrain elevation data and the preparing approach of the gravity gradient map is proposed in detail in the paper. Since the seabed terrain elevation map, especially highly accurate offing terrain elevation map has been presurveyed, the location can be actualized through matching the real-time measured gravity gradient data to the prepared gravity gradient reference map. Simulations show that the submarine navigation approach on gravity gradient -terrain matching is feasible and can be put into practice.

The landmark detection has been widely investigated for the human pose with rapid progress in recent years. In this work, we aim at dealing with a new problem: aircraft landmark detection in the wild. We have a key observation: the aircraft is a rigid object with global structural relationships between local landmarks. This motivates us to progressively learn the global geometrical structure and local landmark localization in a coarse-to-fine guidance manner. In this paper, we propose a simple yet effective skeleton-aware landmark detection (SALD) network, including one stream for exploiting the coarse global skeleton structure and one stream for the precise local landmarks localization. The global skeleton structure models the aircraft "images" into skeleton "lines", in which the multiple skeletons of the holistic aircraft and the parts are explicitly extracted to serve as the geometrical structure constraints for landmarks. Then, the local landmark localization precisely detects the key "points" with the guidance of skeleton "lines". Consequently, the progressive strategy of "extracting lines from images, detecting points with lines" significantly eases the landmark detection task by decomposing the task into the simpler coarse-to-fine sub-tasks, thus further improving the detection performance. Extensive experimental results show the superiority of proposed method compared to state-of-the-arts. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

To improve the accuracy of remote-sensing image classification, proposed a multi- classifier combined decision tree hierarchical classification method. First we using decision tree algorithm to generate an initial decision tree (IDT), and then edit the rules of IDT, connect the IDT with multi-classifier to generate a hybrid decision tree (HDT). During the classification procedure, land categories are obtained seriatim according to the HDT, subsequently the corresponding region of new-obtained category will be masked out, so that the classification process becomes more and more easy. This method can avoid the cross interference when various categories classify in the same time. Accuracy analysis of experimental results shows that compared with traditional classification methods, this method can greatly improve the accuracy of classification. © 2011 IEEE.

A fully-integrated DC-DC step-down four-phase converter in a 130 nm 1.2 V CMOS technology is realized. Integrated metal-track inductors and integrated MOS and MIM capacitors are used for the output filter. No external components are required. The converter is designed to generate an output voltage of 1.2 V out of a 2.6 V supply voltage. Stacked transistors are used to cope with the high voltage. The maximum power conversion efficiency is 58 %, for a voltage conversion ratio of 0.46. This yields a 21 % efficiency enhancement factor over a linear regulator. The maximum output power of 800 mW is the highest ever reported for a fully-integrated DC-DC converter, by the authors knowledge. A novel control system, based on a semi-constant on/off-time keeps the output voltage constant at varying load and line conditions. Moreover it ensures stability over the entire load range from 0 mW to 800 mW.

In this paper, we propose a new image codec, which called embedded zerotree wavelet coefficients envelop coding (EZWCEC). The coefficients envelop is characterized by describing the global tendency of the significant wavelet coefficients. Based on the empirical analysis and experimental results, our EZWCEC algorithm restores the trend of the significant wavelet coefficients and estimates the magnitude of some insignificant coefficients on the decoder. Unlike other zerotree coding algorithms such as Said and Pearlman's SPIHT using three lists, EZWCEC only uses two lists during encoding and decoding. So the memory requirement for the hardware implementation is reduced significantly. Although PSNR values for EZWCEC are lower than SPIHT's and JPEG2000's, our experiment results have shown that EZWCEC can dramatically improve the visual quality of reconstructed at low bit rates (e.g., below 0.1bpp).

This paper presents a new fast template matching method with partial skipping using sub-template. In this method, we use sub-template to search point by point in the current searched window, and compare every SAD with threshold, if some SAD exceeds the threshold, set the new threshold equal to this SAD value and this point is one potential optimization location, when all points in the current window are compared, we will get a minimum value and a optimization location, then skip the other points whose SAD is not the minimum value. In other words, the searching step is that template size subtracts the subtemplate size, and we set the next threshold equal to the current optimization SAD value, we update the threshold and the optimal point until the end of the searched image like this, then will find the global minimum points and its SAD value. Experimental results show that the proposed method is near one hundred times faster than the conventional template match method. © 2012 IEEE.

Wide baseline stereo correspondence has become a challenging and attractive problem in computer vision and its related applications. Getting high correct ratio initial matches is a very important step of general wide baseline stereo correspondence algorithm. Ferrari et al. suggested a voting scheme called topological filter in [3] to discard mismatches from initial matches, but they didn't give theoretical analysis of their method. Furthermore, the parameter of their scheme was uncertain. In this paper, we improved Ferraris' method based on our theoretical analysis, and presented a novel scheme called topologically clustering to discard mismatches. The proposed method has been tested using many famous wide baseline image pairs and the experimental results showed that the developed method can efficiently extract high correct ratio matches from low correct ratio initial matches for wide baseline image pairs.

FRPWPS: A filter driver and reverse proxy based web protection system

Website attack has seriously affected the owner's profit and the security of the Internet. In this paper, a Filter Driver and Reverse Proxy based Web Protection System (FRPWPS) with a version control-based safe recovery mechanism is proposed. FRPWPS consists of five sub systems including web file monitor, content publish, web reverse proxy, backup and recovery, and monitor center. The file filter driver is used to protect web program files from illegally tampered. The protected websites are run behind a web proxy with intrusion detection function. The backup and recovery subsystem is realized by a FTP protocol. Experiments analyze the functions and costs of FRPWPS, and results show that it can work well and achieve good performance for web protection. © 2012 Academy Publisher.

This paper illustrates the advantages of using the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) as compared to the standard Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) for the purpose of removing random noise embedded in seismic data. The prediction filter is adopted in the DCT domain. Comparisons of the results between our method and the prediction filter in f-x domain show that the new method achieved better performance. © 2007 Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
