The rapid advancement of intelligence and connectivity technology (ICT) has enhanced the efficiency and safety of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). However, this also increases the complexity of the transportation systems, especially the social complexity, and poses new challenges for their management. This paper discusses the emergence of social transportation, as part of natural evolutionary adaptation to new traffic conditions and technology, which is a paradigm shift from engineering-centered technical systems to society-centered ecosystems. In social transportation systems, all participants including administrators, individual travelers and other stakeholders play a more proactive role in the operation and management of transportation systems. Therefore, we propose to employ a decen-tralized autonomous organization (DAO) as a model for the social transportation system that allows participants to collab.rate and coordinate without relying on a central authority. To meet the challenges brought by this transition, we propose to apply ACP-based parallel system theory to restructure the methodology of transportation management. Finally, we present a case study of personal carbon trading system where economic incentives are used to manage traffic demand, affecting others' travel behaviors, and reduce carbon emissions. In the conclusive remarks, we provide our visions and future directions of social transportation systems. © 2023 IEEE.

Recycling precious metals with high-efficiency is undoubtedly beneficial to optimize resource utilization for environmental remediation and sustainable ***,we report an efficient route to recycle the palladium(Pd)and platinum(Pt)electrocatalysts using a phase transfer *** strategy involves acidic dissolution of deactivated precious metal(Pd/Pt)electrocatalysts from their loading substrates,mixing with an ethanolic solution of dodecylamine(DDA),subsequent extraction of metal ions into a non-polar organic phase,and final reduction by sodium borohydride to reproduce high-performance electrocatalysts towards typical electrochemical reactions,e.g.,oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).In specific,the transfer efficiencies are up to 98%and the final recovery rate is over 85%for Pd and Pt electrocatalysts in each *** approach symbolizes a facile and efficient way to recover precious metals,which might be applied to recycling a wide range of metals in various realms after appropriate modifications.

Developing hierarchical CdS/NiO hollow heterogeneous architectures for boosting photocatalytic hydrogen generation

The hierarchical binary CdS/NiO hollow heterogeneous architectures(HHAs)with p–n heterojunction are constructed by a facile microwave-assisted wet chemical process for high-efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)from *** as-designed CdS/NiO HHAs are composed of hexagonal n-type CdS nanoparticles with a size in the range of 20–40 nm attaching to cubic p-type NiO hollow microspheres(HMSs)which are aggregates of porous nanoplates with a thickness of about 20 *** photocatalytic water splitting over CdS/NiO HHAs is significantly increased under simulated solar irradiation,among which the most active sample of CdS/NiO-3(the mass ratio of CdS to NiO is 1:3)exhibits the fastest photocatalytic HER rate of 1.77 mmol∙g^(−1)∙h^(−1),being 16.2 times than that of pure *** boosted photocatalytic HER could be attributed to the synergistic effect on the proportional p–n heterojunction with special hierarchical hollow and porous morphology,an enhancement of visible light absorption,and an improvement of photoinduced charge separation as well as the photo-stability given by the composite *** work shows a viable strategy to design the heterojunction with special morphology for the efficient hydrogen generation by water splitting utilizing solar energy.

Dealloying by which the transition metal is partially or completely leached from an alloy precursor is an effective way to optimize the fundamental effects for further enhancing the electrocatalysis of a ***,to address the deficiencies associated with the commonly used dealloying methods,for example,electrochemical and sulfuric acid/nitric acid treatment,we report an acetic acid-assisted mild strategy to dealloy Cu atoms from the outer surface layers of CuPd alloy nanoparticles to achieve high-efficiency electrocatalysis for oxygen reduction and ethanol oxidation in an alkaline *** leaching of Cu atoms by acetic acid exerts an additional compressive strain effect on the surface layers and exposes more active Pd atoms,which is beneficial for boosting the catalytic performance of a dealloyed catalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and the ethanol oxidation reaction(EOR).In particular,for ORR,the CuPd nanoparticles with a Pd/Cu molar ratio of 2:1 after acetic dealloying show a half-wave potential of 0.912 V(***)and a mass activity of 0.213 AmgPd^(-1) at 0.9 V,respectively,while for EOR,the same dealloyed sample has a mass activity and a specific activity of 8.4 Amg^(-1) and 8.23 mA cm^(-2),respectively,much better than their dealloyed counterparts at other temperatures and commercial Pd/C as well as a Pt/C catalyst.

Cooperative behavior has been of great concern in evolutionary game researches because of its important role in social life and natural evolution. Since memory can greatly influence the emergence of cooperative behavior, memory-based research on evolutionary games has proliferated in recent years. In the present paper, inspired by the well-known 'Stanford marshmallow experiment' (SME), we proposed a multi-memory mechanism in Snowdrift game (SDG) on spatial lattice networks whose core lies in what follows: Players are divided into two groups according to individual self-control;different memory lengths are set by group and by time in a single realization. The simulation results show that our proposed mechanism promotes cooperation level of the considered evolutionary game. More specifically, as memory length increases to an intermediate length, the cooperation level increases as well. For mechanism with short memory length, the effect of population structure is obvious and small values of adjusting factor can intensively facilitate high-frequency cooperative behavior. These findings may be helpful to understand the connection between population heterogeneity and the emergence of high cooperation. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has brought huge challenges to health systems around the world. Computed Tomography (CT), as an effective method to screen COVID-19, can provide explainable visual information which can be used for the diagnosis and quantification of COVID-19. It will make diagnosis easier and more effective by providing segmentation results of infections from given CT scans. Deep learning based methods can perform well in tasks that have abundant annotated data, while they may suffer from great performance drops when there is little annotated data availab.e. To collect and annotate CT scans of COVID-19 cases is time-consuming and lab.r-intensive, which will demand highly-proficient radiology expertise. To tackle this bottleneck, this paper provides a novel unsupervised domain adaptation method that bridges the gap of distributions between the availab.e annotated CT scans and private CT scans, thus reducing dependence on private annotated CT scans. Quantitative analysis demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed method, which achieves 20 increments in Dice score compared to models without adaptation. © 2022 IEEE.

The application of trauma and hemorrhage medical treatment training has generated higher and higher requirements for the authenticity of the medical model. With the increasing integration of mixed reality technology and the medical field, multi-view-based 3D reconstruction technology can generate trauma medical object models not limited to specific targets, with low cost and high precision. However, the current reconstruction methods have weak points such as the inability to build the object surface beyond the direct view of humans, the uneven distribution of reconstructed point clouds, many holes, and reconstructed triangles. And it is time-consuming and lab.rious to fill and modify manually and requires highly skilled modeling expertise. Therefore, the models generated by traditional 3D reconstruction methods cannot meet the needs of interaction and touch in mixed reality applications. In order to solve these problems, we propose a new model generation method based on multi-view and point cloud processing, which enables the model to reduce the computational cost under the premise of meeting the need for direct interaction and touch in mixed reality applications. Finally, based on the reconstruction method proposed in this paper, a new medical trauma hemorrhage control and rescue training system is designed and implemented, which proves the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper. © 2023 Owner/Author.

Understanding the mesoscale structure and regime transition in bubble columns is of great significance for reactor design and *** on the energy-minimization multiscale(EMMS)model,a noncooperative game model with constraints is proposed to investigate the structural properties of gas-liquid systems in which small and large bubbles are chosen as players and the energy consumption form the objective *** conservation equations of the system can be regarded as the constraints of the *** the formulated noncooperative game model,the concept of the generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE)is used to characterize the *** algorithm is developed to numerically compute the GNE and some important structural parameters in the *** numerical results show the existence of the GNE for all values of the superficial gas velocity *** Ug varies,the trends in the state variables can be observed and the critical point of Ug *** overall trend of the flow regime transition agrees with the original EMMS model and experimental results,although the GNE calculation also reveals different single-bubble dominant mechanisms with increasing Ug.
