With the fast development of Internet and rapid acceptance of Web Service technology, more and more service resources have emerged. Service composition which integrates the functionalities of different services is a promising technique for developing applications across multiple organizations. However, in a distributed, dynamic and autonomous environment, such as a service composition-based system, the availab.lity and reliability are big concerns in terms of nonfunctional properties. In this paper, we propose a novel service composition method, ANGEL, with the target of the improvement of system availab.lity. We adopt redundant mechanism in ANGEL and propose a model to improve the property of the service availab.lity. We model the multiple services selection problem based on redundant mechanism as a nonlinear mixed integer programming problem and therefore, we propose two heuristic algorithms to select multiple feasible services that have the same functions, but with better availab.lity. In order to maintain the availab.lity of composite services, we further introduce monitor and detection mechanisms. Through the comprehensive experiments, we find that our proposed techniques can indeed achieve better availab.lity as expected. © 2007 IEEE.

A virtual cosmetics try-on system provides a realistic try-on experience for consumers and helps them efficiently choose suitable *** this article,we propose a real-time augmented reality virtual cosmetics try-on system for smartphones(ARCosmetics),taking speed,accuracy,and stability into consideration at each step to ensure a better user experience.A novel and very fast face tracking method utilizes the face detection box and the average position of facial landmarks to estimate the faces in continuous frames.A dynamic weight Wing loss is introduced to assign a dynamic weight to every landmark by the estimated error during *** balances the attention between small,medium,and large range error and thus increases the accuracy and *** also designed a weighted average method to utilize the information of the adjacent frame for landmark refinement,guaranteeing the stability of the generated *** experiments conducted on a large 106-point facial landmark dataset and the 300-VW dataset demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method compared to other state-of-the-art *** also conducted user satisfaction studies further to verify the efficiency and effectiveness of our ARCosmetics system.

In this paper, we will discuss the techniques of building up a large scale prototype platform for collab.ration on IP-based network, and summarize the structure of that platform. To solve the large-scale problem, we make performance analysis on key modules of the system. Based on the result, we provide a basic prototype platform which contains multimedia communication and basic data collab.ration function. Also, we discuss the method of combining other data collab.rations and video conferences into this platform. Mobile IP protocol solves the problem of mobility support for hosts connected to Internet anytime and anywhere. But the handoff latency in Mobile IP affects the quality of communication. This paper proposes a seamless predictive handoff approach on dual-link. Using this approach link layer of MN detects signal change to predict coming handoff and triggers network layer. During the handoff, MN keeps one link connecting with current network and at the same time connects another link to the new network. In this paper we illustrate the theory of this approach in detail and provide experiments to evaluate the performance. The experimental results show that this approach can ensure the seamless handoff of Mobile IP.

Mobile IP protocol solves the problem of mobility support for hosts connected to Internet anytime and anywhere, and makes the mobility transparent to the higher layer applications. But the handoff latency in Mobile IP affects the quality of communication. This paper proposes a seamless handoff approach based on dual-link and link layer trigger, using information from link layer to predict and trigger the dual-link handoff. During the handoff, MN keeps one link connected with the current network while it handoff another link to the new network. In this paper we develop a model system based on this approach and provide experiments to evaluate the performance of this approach. The experimental results show that this approach can ensure the seamless handoff of Mobile IP.

Few-shot learning is an interesting and challenging study, which enables machines to learn from few samples like humans. Existing studies rarely exploit auxiliary information from large amount of unlab.led data. Self-supervised learning is emerged as an efficient method to utilize unlab.led data. Existing self-supervised learning methods always rely on the combination of geometric transformations for the single sample by augmentation, while seriously neglect the endogenous correlation information among different samples that is the same important for the task. In this work, we propose a Graph-driven Clustering (GC), a novel augmentation-free method for self-supervised learning, which does not rely on any auxiliary sample and utilizes the endogenous correlation information among input samples. Besides, we propose Multi-pretext Attention Network (MAN), which exploits a specific attention mechanism to combine the traditional augmentation-relied methods and our GC, adaptively learning their optimized weights to improve the performance and enabling the feature extractor to obtain more universal representations. We evaluate our MAN extensively on miniImageNet and tieredImageNet datasets and the results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art (SOTA) relevant methods. © 2021 IEEE

In recent years, with the development of deep learning, object detection has made great progress and has been widely used in many tasks. However, the previous models are all performed on closed sets, while there are many unknown categories in the real open world. Directly applying a model trained on known categories to the unknown classes will lead to misclassification. In this paper, we propose a two-branch objectness-centric open world object detection framework consisting of the bias-guided detector and the objectness-centric calibrator to effectively capture the objectness of both known and unknown instances and make the accurate prediction for known classes. The bias-guided detector trained with the known lab.ls can predict the classes and boxes for known classes accurately. While the objectness-centric calibrator can localize the instances of any class, and does not affect the classification and regression of known classes. In the inference stage, we use the objectness-centric affirmation to confirm the results for known classes and predict the unknown instances. Comprehensive experiments conducted on the open world object detection benchmark validate the effectiveness of our method compared to state-of-the-art open world object detection approaches. © 2022 ACM.

Problem of belief revision and specification evolution has been studied for years. Researchers have proposed ACM theory and R-calculus to solve the problem. This paper concerns with the revision of proposition logic and proposes a revision algorithm which can automatically find out a revision of given sets. The correctness of the algorithm is proved and concepts such as basic proposition, assignment equivalence relation and delegate model are introduced. Tactics are used to improve the efficiency of the revision algorithm. A revision system is realized based on the improved algorithm. And an example is run to illustrate the syntax and the property of the system. ©2009 IEEE.

Anthropogenic climate change and unreasonable land use have exacerbated desertification in recent decades. However, the biotic-environmental regulatory mechanisms for the temporal stability of desert ecosystems in the marginal areas around mobile deserts, as critical ecological safety barriers to restrict the development of desertification, are still less understood. Based on extensive field sample plot survey data and spatial data, we comprehensively assessed the contribution and driving mechanisms of biotic (vegetation pattern and species diversity) and environmental (climate, soil, spatial location and terrain) drivers to the temporal stability of gravel desert ecosystem (GDE) and sandy desert ecosystem (SDE) around the Badain Jaran Desert and Tengger Desert in Northwest China. Our results showed the temporal stability in GDE was driven by plant species diversity, and climate played an indirect role by influencing plant species diversity. The temporal stability of SDE was mainly regulated by environmental variables, with climate and soil properties directly affecting it, rather than indirectly through biotic variables. A trade-off existed between the temporal stability of SDE and vegetation productivity, which was absent in GDE. Our findings highlight the divergent biotic-environmental mechanisms underlying the temporal stability of GDE and SDE at the margins of mobile deserts. Based on these insights, we propose targeted conservation strategies for two major desert ecosystems: for GDE, focus on protecting and restoring vegetation diversity;for SDE, prioritize sand fixation and soil improvement. These results provide crucial theoretical guidance for desertification control and the sustainable management of desert ecosystems. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

Combining long-term and short-term user interest for personalized hashtag recommendation

Hashtags, terms prefixed by a hash-symbol #, are widely used and inserted anywhere within short messages （tweets） on micro-blogging systems as they present rich sen- timent information on topics that people are interested in. In this paper, we focus on the problem of hashtag recommenda- tion considering their personalized and temporal aspects. As far as we know, this is the first work addressing this issue spe- cially to recommend personalized hashtags combining long- term and short-term user interest. We introduce three features to capture personal and temporal user interest： 1） hashtag textual information; 2） user behavior; and 3） time. We of- fer two recommendation models for comparison： a linear- combined model, and an enhanced session-based temporal graph （STG） model, Topic-STG, considering the features to learn user preferences and subsequently recommend person- alized hashtags. Experiments on two real tweet datasets illus- trate the effectiveness of the proposed models and algorithms.
