As the global power industry evolves, transformer insulation systems face increasing challenges. The aging of cellulose insulation paper (cellulose-IP) at elevated temperatures significantly impacts its insulation properties and overall lifespan. To enhance the thermal aging resistance and industrial usability of cellulose-IP, this study employs nano-boron nitride (h-BN) along with three silane coupling agents - 3-ammonopropyltriethoxysilane (KH550), 3-glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH560), and 3-methacryloyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (KH570) - to modified cellulose-IP. Upon evaluating the properties and simulation results of the modified cellulose-IP, KH550-hBN demonstrated superior properties and was selected for an accelerated thermal aging test lasting 60 days. The results indicated that KH550-hBN effectively mitigates the degradation of cellulose-IP. In the late aging stage, the mechanical properties of the modified cellulose-IP deteriorated more slowly than those of pure cellulose-IP. Additionally, thermal conductivity improved by 26.9%, while breakdown field strength increased by 12.1%. The introduction of KH550-hBN promotes the formation of a complete thermal conductivity network within the cellulose matrix, increases the number of intermolecular hydrogen bonds and introduces nano-barrier regions. These improvements enhance the interactions between the cellulose systems and effectively inhibit the generation and migration of polar derivatives during the aging process, resulting in a significant improvement in the longevity and stability of transformer internal insulation systems. © 1994-2012 IEEE.

Wireless sensor networks （WSN） provide an approachto collecting distributed monitoring data and transmiting them tothe sink node. This paper proposes a WSN-based multi-hop networkinfrastructure, to increase network lifetime by optimizing therouting strategy. First, a network model is established, an operatingcontrol strategy is devised, and energy consumption characteristicsare analyzed. Second, a fast route-planning algorithm isproposed to obtain the original path that takes into account the remainingenergy of communicating nodes and the amount of energyconsumed in data transmission. Next, considering the amount ofenergy consumed by an individual node and the entire network,a criterion function is established to describe node performanceand to evaluate data transmission ability. Finally, a route optimizingalgorithm is proposed to increase network lifetime by adjusting thetransmission route in protection of the weak node （the node withlow transmission ability）. Simulation and comparison experimentalresults demonstrate the good performance of the proposed algorithmsto increase network lifetime.

Radical frequency (RF) measurement has become hot point in field of partial discharge detection. However, a big problem that hampers the application of this method is difficult to establish a relationship between data from RF measurement and apparent discharge quantity, that is, use RF signal to estimate the apparent discharge. In this paper, on the basis of the experiment model of metal protrusion, the relationship between RF measurement and pulse current method (IEC60270) was investigated. The relationship curves of energy, double integration, peak voltage, peak-peak voltage, area of the RF signal relative to apparent discharge quantity or the square of apparent discharge quantity were plotted and the optimal regression curve was found out. At the same time, the impacts of voltage and the distance between protrusion and plate were investigated as well. The results indicate that the optimal regression curve is energy of RF signal relative to square of apparent discharge quantity. The variation of voltage has no impact on the regression curve, that is, data from different voltage regress to one line. However, while the distance between protrusion and plate is changed, the slope of regression curve changes according to it and the same energy is corresponding to bigger discharge quantity. The results are valuable to be applied in the field of estimation of the discharge quantity of RF partial discharge signal. ©2010 IEEE.

The junction temperature of the gallium nitride based light emitting diode (LED) is one of the critical parameters that developed the LED luminaries system with high efficacy, long lifetime, and smart functions. Numerous efforts have been conducted to measure and manage the junction temperature that drove multiple LED array at a steady electrical power during the design stages. However, the emerging functional LED luminaries system needs a dynamic and on-line junction temperature measurement, which makes these successful methods less likely to be applied directly on due to cost and complexity issues. Therefore, the junction temperature analysis of the LED array with configurable electrical power becomes an important topic to simplify the junction temperature estimation. In the present paper, a prototype, built by a 3-chip on board based LED array with pulse-width modulation based constant peak current resources, has been tested initially by thermal infrared imager. Then the junction temperature properties including the non-uniform, nonlinear, and superposed are discussed and modeled using finite element method code COMSOL and the thermal equivalent network method. Finally, a simple and fast junction temperature estimator based on the explored properties is given and validated. The suggested methodology and the analysis results shed light on the estimation and control of the junction temperature of LED arrays in smart solid-state lighting.

Partial discharge is the main reason for the deterioration of the insulation performance of electrical equipment insulators. The vicious circle of electrical equipment insulation under the action of partial discharge will eventually lead to the destruction of the entire insulation system. Effective detection of partial discharge is an important means to ensure the safe operation of electrical equipment. The optical fiber Fabray-Perot ultrasonic sensor has been widely studied because of its high sensitivity, strong stability, strong anti-electromagnetic interference ability, small size, and good insulation performance. In this paper, a diaphragm vibration model in a liquid environment is established. The composite diaphragm of the Fabray-Perot sensor is prepared by using the stainless steel diaphragm and 353 ND glue. The influence of the liquid environment temperature on the Fabray-Perot sensor is analyzed. The ultrasonic detection characteristics of the Fabray-Perot sensor are tested by the needle-plate discharge model, and compared with the traditional piezoelectric sensor. © 2021 IEEE.

As an important and widely used electrical equipment, GIS (gas insulated switchgear) greatly affects the stability and safety of the entire power grid. By detecting the concentration of SF6decomposed component gases in GIS, we can judge the faults existing in the GIS, and prevent the corrosive decomposed gases from damaging the insulation. However, existing SF6 decomposition component detection methods can are difficult to achieve relatively accurate simultaneous detection of multi-component gases. In this paper, a method using cavity enhanced Raman spectroscopy was developed to simultaneously detect SO and CF4 under high concentration SF6. Based on frequency-locking cavity enhancement technology, we coupled laser light with a wavelength of 642 nm and a power of about 50 mW into a V-shaped resonant cavity, and realized three orders of power enhancement. Due to the special V-shaped structure of the resonant cavity, the direct reflected light from the cavity mirror will not feedback to the laser, thereby avoiding false locking. Under 1 atmosphere pressure, Raman spectroscopy of CF4 and SO with a concentration of 1% was obtained. The characteristic Raman spectral lines of CF4 and SO were determined as 909 cm-1 and 1151 cm-1, respectively. responding to their v1 transition. And the Raman spectrum of CF4 and SO under the pressure of gradient distribution was obtained, it was found that the Raman characteristic peak intensity of CF4 and SO was highly linear between pressure relationship. Besides, the mixed gas of CF4 and SO under high concentration SF6was detected simultaneously without any interference. This study laid the foundation for Raman spectroscopy for the detection and quantitative analysis of SF6 decomposed gas components, indicating that Raman spectroscopy has great potential in the field of SF6 decomposed gas component detection. © 2020 IEEE.

Partial discharge online detection technology can reflect the insulation status of electrical equipment. The extrinsic fiber Fabry-Perot sensor uses a diaphragm cavity to sense the changes in interference intensity caused by the sound waves generated by partial discharge. It has stronger resistance to electromagnetic interference, longer transmission distance, and smaller structure, comparing with traditional ultrasonic sensors. With so many advantages, it undoubtedly becomes the focus of research on partial discharge ultrasonic detection. This paper first explores the sensitivity mechanism of optical fiber Fabry-Perot sensors to acoustic signals. Then, according to the change laws of the resonance frequency of the diaphragm with the size parameters, a fiber optic Fabry-Perot partial discharge sensor based on the structure of the nickel circular diaphragm and the quartz tube is developed. The fabricated Fabry-Perot sensor is placed in water, and the acoustic signals from the piezoelectric ceramic transducer driven by the signal generator are detected;the partial discharge ultrasonic signals generated by the pin-plate electrode model in transformer oil are also tested. And the tests have achieved the desired results. © 2020 IEEE.

Lightning could lead to insulation failure if there is no protective steps were taken. Typically for this reason a lightning arrester is used. A novel insulator incorporating an arrester and an insulator for 10 kV power lines was designed to integrate the insulator with the lightning arrester as a single entities. This paper aims to study the AC flashover performance and insulation coordination of novel lightning protection composite insulator. The results shows that Uf decreases with the increase of ESDD. Specifically, when ESDD increases from 0.01 mg/cm2 to 0.2 mg/cm2, Uf decreases from 44.4 kV to 15.1 kV. Thus, the maximum air gap distance to ensure the normal operation of the insulation section is 19 mm, 13mm and 10mm, when ESDD is 0.07mg/cm2, 0.09mg/cm2, 0.11mg/cm2 respectively. This paper presented the insulation coordination of the insulation section, ensuring that the protection gap can work normally. © 2021 IEEE.
