This paper discusses the design problem of recursive filtering method for time-varying nonlinear delayed systems (NDSs) with stochastic parameter matrices (SPMs) and censored measurements. In particular, the Tobit Type I model provides a description of the censored measurements. The main objective of this paper is to construct a recursive filter for NDSs with both SPMs and censored measurements. The upper bound of the filtering error covariance is first calculated via mathematical induction, and the upper bound is then minimized by choosing proper filter gain. Besides, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee that the filtering error is uniformly bounded in the mean-square sense. Finally, the viability and applicability of the proposed filtering method are demonstrated using a numerical simulation. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

In this paper, the outlier-resistant distributed filtering problem based on amplify-and-forward relays is studied for discrete time-varying nonlinear multi-rate systems with multiple measurement delays over sensor networks, where the augmenting method is utilized to transform the multi-rate system into a single rate system. An amplify-and-forward (AF) relay is set between the sensor and the filter to extend the transmission distance of the signal and ensure the communication transmission quality. The outlier-resistant distributed filter is constructed by introducing a saturation function to limit the innovations, then the upper bound on the filtering error covariance is obtained and the filter gain is designed to minimize such obtained upper bound. Finally, a numerical example is used to show the effectiveness of the outlier-resistant distributed filtering algorithm based on AF relays. © 2023 Technical Committee on Control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

With the development of computer technology, intelligent vehicles have become a popular orientation at present. This paper provides a solution for the traditional GNSS/IMU integrated navigation to mitigate the influence of non-line-of-sight (NLOS) environments and achieve high-precision navigation. The LOS/NLOS switching is treated as a transition in a Markov chain, and the DIMM filtering is applied to obtain GNSS-filtered data free from the influence of NLOS. GNSS/IMU integrated navigation is loose coupling in that the method combines IMU information with processed GNSS measurement using the ESKF (Error-state Kalman Filter) to achieve accurate target tracking and positioning by utilizing the state difference as the state variable. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly improves tracking and positioning accuracy by effectively mitigating NLOS effects compared to traditional methods. This research provides an effective solution for real-world autonomous vehicle navigation systems and optimizes the city driving experience. © ASCE.

Recent progress in natural language processing (NLP) owes much to remarkable advances in large language models (LLMs). Nevertheless, LLMs frequently "hallucinate," resulting in non-factual outputs. Our carefully-designed human evaluation substantiates the serious hallucination issue, revealing that even GPT-3.5 produces factual outputs less than 25% of the time. This underscores the importance of fact verifiers in order to measure and incentivize progress. Our systematic investigation affirms that LLMs can be repurposed as effective fact verifiers with strong correlations with human judgments. Surprisingly, FLAN-T511B, the least factual generator in our study, performs the best as a fact verifier, even outperforming more capable LLMs like GPT3.5 and ChatGPT. Delving deeper, we analyze the reliance of these LLMs on high-quality evidence, as well as their deficiencies in robustness and generalization ability. Our study presents insights for developing trustworthy generation models. © 2024 Association for Computational Linguistics.

With the addition of UAVs, the perception and recognition of ground targets have also advanced significantly. UAV photography has gradually become an integral part of this field. Due to the flexibility and lightness of UAVs, they can freely adjust their height and angle. Moreover, multiple UAVs can perceive and recognize the same target from different directions, which has led to increased attention toward collab.rative perception using multiple viewpoints of UAVs. Given the diverse image information captured by UAVs from various angles, heights, and environments, i.e., multi-scale conditions, this paper addresses the challenge of target detection by leveraging the Local Feature Matching with Transformer (LoFTR) approach. The paper also explains the process of coordinating transformations for different images captured by multiple UAVs to ensure data consistency and synergy. Finally, experimental validation using the VisDrone dataset demonstrates that the developed detection method can reliably and efficiently operate on targets at different angles and altitudes. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

The present paper considers the data-driven control of unknown linear time-invariant discrete-time systems under an event-triggering transmission scheme. To this end, we begin by presenting a dynamic event-triggering scheme (ETS) based on periodic sampling, and a discrete-time looped-functional (DLF) approach, through which a model-based stability condition is derived. Combining the model-based condition with a recent data-based system representation, a data-driven stability criterion in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is established, which offers a way of co-designing the ETS matrix and the controller using pre-collected noisy input-state data. Finally, numerical simulations showcase the efficacy of ETS in reducing data transmissions as well as of the proposed co-design methods. © 2022 IEEE.

Engine aerodynamic noise is a complex component of flight simulation, consisting of multiple groups of harmonics and broadband noise signals based on passing frequency. Harmonic simulation can effectively convey human auditory perception but lacks related study in flight simulation. To accurately simulate the acoustic behavior of harmonic noise, first, a high-order cumulant based pre-filtering method is applied to retrieve harmonic signals from the real engine noise recordings by exploiting the blindness of the third-order cumulants to the harmonic signal. Then, targeting the lower precision of the autoregressive (AR) coefficients in the pre-filtering calculations, a maximum likelihood method is proposed to estimate the ARMA parameters of the high-order cumulants. The simulation results show that the accuracy of AR parameter estimation is significantly improved compared to the moment estimation method. Finally, the exact frequency is verified and obtained based on first-order cyclic statistics, and then the harmonic signal in the time domain is extracted.

In recent years, with the continuous progress of science and technology, terahertz technology has been widely applied. In the preparation of terahertz sources, vacuum electronics technology has always been one of the main research directions. However, the traditional vacuum electronic light source has some shortcomings, such as high energy consumption, easy to damage the crystal and easy to be subjected to environmental noise. Therefore, how to achieve miniaturized, high-efficiency and low-cost terahertz light sources has always been the focus of researchers' attention. In this respect, the miniaturized terahertz source based on micro-nano-grating dielectric waveguide provides us with a new solution. We construct a terahertz source based on a micro-nano-grating dielectric waveguide with an operating frequency of 32THz, which can be driven by single electrons, electron bunches and periodic electron sequences. In addition, the miniaturized terahertz source has the advantages of easy integration and low preparation cost. It can be used in terahertz optics, communication, development, biomedical engineering and other fields. © 2023 Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES).

Path planning is crucial for the successful mission execution of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). However, planning feasible paths becomes challenging due to constraints imposed by complex environments and the inherent maneuverability of UAVs, particularly in large-scale scenarios involving multiple UAVs ( multi-UAV). This paper addresses the multi-UAV cooperative path planning problem, formulating it as a constrained optimization problem and proposing the evolutionary state estimation-based multi-strategy jellyfish search (ESE-MSJS) algorithm to search for high-quality paths. In the proposed algorithm, a switching framework based on evolutionary state estimation is constructed to prevent ineffective searches and enhance suitability for path planning. Within this framework, three distinct update modes are developed for each individual, enabling a more efficient and flexible selection of appropriate learning strategies. In addition, a neighborhood topology-based elite example learning strategy is employed to increase population diversity, and a best information guiding-driven adaptive scaling factor strategy exploits the surrounding space, strengthening local search capabilities. The Gaussian barebone mechanism is introduced to balance exploration and exploitation. To effectively cope with intricate constraints, a dynamic $\alpha$-level comparison strategy is incorporated into the individual update stage of the ESE-MSJS. Experimental results demonstrate that ESE-MSJS outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms regarding accuracy, feasibility, and stability, proving to be an effective method for multi-UAV cooperative path planning in complex environments.
