This paper proposes an improved power sharing control scheme to achieve the accurate power sharing control and offer an improved PCC voltage regulation capability in islanding microgrid. An enhanced virtual impedance design is assumed in the conventional droop control scheme to manage distributed generation (DG) units to export the accurate reactive power in proportion to their rating. A point of common coupling (PCC) voltage restoration control is implemented to eliminate the PCC voltage deviation produced by the droop control effect and voltage drop effect on the impedance. This control scheme of each individual DG unit was designed to only use the locally measured feedback variables of inverter. It can realize accurate reactive power sharing and guarantee the PCC voltage quality. Matlab simulations are presented to show the effectiveness of proposed control performance in islanding microgrid.

This paper proposes a novel approach to compensate the voltage at the point of common coupling (PCC) and the grid line current harmonics through a distributed generation (DG) interfacing converter in a weak microgrid. In the proposed approach, the PCC voltage is indirectly derived from the measured converter output voltage, DG line current and line impedance. A voltage closed-loop controller and a current closed-loop controller are designed to achieve both functions of DG real power generation and PCC harmonics compensation. Therefore, the traditional harmonic measurement devices installed at the PCC as well as the long distance communication between the PCC and the converter are fully eliminated. In order to avoid overcompensation, a harmonic current limitation algorithm is implemented in the control loop. bBy properly dispatching the harmonic compensation capability, multiple DG unites can be connected to the same PCC in parallel with the same compensation function. Furthermore, the proposed control approach can be extended to a multi-bus microgrid, where the line impedance cannot be ignored. Matlab simulations and experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In this paper, a discriminant manifold learning method based on Locally Linear Embedding (LLE), which is named Locally Linear Representation Fisher Criterion (LLRFC), is proposed for the classification of tumor gene expressive data. In the proposed LLRFC, an inter-class graph and intra-class graph is constructed based on the class information of tumor gene expressive data, where the weights between nodes in both graph are optimized using locally linear representation trick. Moreover, a Fisher criterion is modeled to maximize the inter-class scatter and minimize the intra-class scatter simultaneously. Experiments on some benchmark tumor gene expressive data validate its efficiency. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

Excavator Energy-saving Efficiency Based on Diesel Engine Cylinder Deactivation technology

The hydraulic excavator energy-saving research mainly embodies the following three measures： to improve the performance of diesel engine and hydraulic component, to improve the hydraulic system, and to improve the power matching of diesel-hydraulic system-actuator. Although the above measures have certain energy-saving effect, but because the hydraulic excavator load changes frequently and fluctuates dramatically, so the diesel engine often works in high-speed and light load condition, and the fuel consumption is higher. Therefore, in order to improve the economy of diesel engine in light load, and reduce the fuel consumption of hydraulic excavator, energy management concept is proposed based on diesel engine cylinder deactivation technology. By comparing the universal characteristic under diesel normal and deactivated cylinder condition, the mechanism that fuel consumption can be reduced significantly by adopting cylinder deactivation technology under part of loads condition can be clarified. The simulation models for hydraulic system and diesel engine are established by using AMESim software, and fuel combustion consumption by using cylinder-deactivation-technology is studied through digital simulation approach. In this way, the zone of cylinder deactivation is specified. The testing system for the excavator with this technology is set up based on simulated results, and the results show that the diesel engine can still work at high efficiency with part of loads after adopting this technology; fuel consumption is dropped down to 11% and 13% under economic and heavy-load mode respectively under the condition of driving requirements. The research provides references to the energy-saving study of the hydraulic excavators.

The performance of a model, which is trained with offline data, is highly relied on the conditions in which the system is working. When the working conditions change, the prediction accuracy of the model will be reduced significantly. To solve this problem, we propose an adaptive SVR modeling method based on vector-field-smoothed (VFS) algorithm. This method can adapt the model quickly to new working conditions by using only a few adaptive samples. Also, it can extend the feature subspace which the model covers so as to enhance the generalization ability of the model. The experimental results show that the model using this method can achieve a much better performance than the original model, as well as the model using other adaptive SVR modeling method. © 2010 IEEE.

Nowadays, the key strategic issues about resource and environment, such as global warming, water resources shortage, food security etc. are more complex and multidisciplinary than ever before. In scientific research, the developmental tendency of modelling and integrating technique is all but irreversible. Focusing on the topic of model integration, we develop a Workflow-based Spatial Modeling Environment (WF-SME) which enables scientists and modeling users easy to design and create of complex systems models through a drag-drop operation or editing mathematical formula in model constructor. WF-SME, a visual integrated modeling environment is mainly used for the rapid realization of model dynamic integration, in which we can implement the composition and connection of the existing models, and generate new model through graphical operation. The papers firstly introduce the framework of model integration designed for WF-SME as well as its supporting theory, and then explain in detail how the modules of WF-SME have been realized. WF-SME is a platform for spatial modelling, which was designed in four parts, Spatial Workflow Designer, Model builder, Spatial Calculation engine and Visualization of Modelling Output. The spatial workflow designer built-in WFSME shipping with toolsets was adopted to create spatial workflow, reuse and aggregate models. Consisting of equation editor and data banding tool, the model builder enable modeller updates formulas on-demand. This editor parsed by MathML is powerful and flexible enough for the requirements of expressions of mathematical calculations. The spatial calculating engine developed based on component, through the map algebra language, executes mathematical calculations. The multi-form visualization module was developed to provide visual expression for a series of intermediate data and its result of the domain models. Finally, we illustrate how the typical practical application sample has been modeled in our modeling environment

Ground Test Platform for Space Teleoperation (GTPST) is a complicated distributed system consisted of multiple subsystems, and controlling it properly under large transmission delay is a huge challenge. Multi-agent system (MAS) is an effective method of solving distributed problems logically and physically, which has such merits as high adaptability, high reliability and easy to expand and maintain. The control model of GTPST is established based on MAS in this paper. Due to the limitation of the available network bandwidth and the large time delay of satellite-ground links, we develop some applications based on mobile agent which can perform its execution locally on remote site, only return the final result or desired data back to local site. As no operation and communication between remote and local sites are needed during the execution of the mobile agent, valuable bandwidth can be reserved and saved. Meanwhile, communication protocols of MAS are improved and designed to increase the communication efficiency of the system. The availability of the system is verified by the test the simulated service satellite (SSS) replaces cell unit for the simulated client satellite (SCS) finally. © 2009 IEEE.

To improve the agility, dynamics, composability, reusability, and development efficiency restricted by monolithic federation object model （FOM）, a modular FOM is proposed by high level architecture （HLA） evolved product development group. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art of HLA evolved modular FOM. In particular, related concepts, the overall impact on HLA standards, extension principles, and merging processes are discussed. Also permitted and restricted combinations, and merging rules are provided, and the influence on HLA interface specification is given. The comparison between modular FOM and base object model （BOM） is performed to illustrate the importance of their combination. The applications of modular FOM are summarized. Finally, the significance to facilitate compoable simulation both in academia and practice is presented and future directions are pointed out.

In this paper, we present a fine-grained localization algorithm for wireless sensor networks using a mobile beacon node. The algorithm is based on distance measurement using RSSI. The beacon node is equipped with a GPS sender, a RF (radio frequency). Each stationary sensor node is equipped with a RF. The beacon node periodically broadcasts its location information, and stationary sensor nodes perceive their positions as beacon points. A sensor node's location is computed by measuring the distance to the beacon point using RSSI. Our proposed localization scheme is evaluated using OPNET 8.1 and compared with Ssu's and Yu's localization schemes. The results show that our localization scheme outperforms the other two schemes in terms of energy efficiency (overhead) and accuracy. © 2009 IEEE.
