Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), also known as very-large MIMO systems, is an attracting technique in 5G, as it can provide higher rates and power efficiency than 4G. However the radio-frequency(RF) chains associated with the antennas increase the system complexity and cost. Antenna selection is an effective way to reduce the number of RF chains. In this paper, we proposed an antenna selection scheme based on genetic algorithm and a heuristic beam-forming technique is used to obtain high performance with a low computation complexity. Numerical results suggest that the proposed scheme outperforms the sub optimal antenna selection and approaches the performance of exhaustive search scheme but with a much lower complexity.

—This paper provides an overview of the features of fifth generation (5G) wireless communication systems now being developed for use in the millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency bands. Early results and key concepts of 5G networks are presented, and the channel modeling efforts of many international groups for both licensed and unlicensed applications are described here. Propagation parameters and channel models for understanding mmWave propagation, such as line-of-sight (LOS) probabilities, large-scale path loss, and building penetration loss, as modeled by various standardization bodies, are compared over the 0.5-100 GHz range. Typically, BPMN Designer only needs to consider the business process without knowing the detail of invoked service, which helps them to simplify the design procedure. However, in some data centric workflow scenario, if designer didn't know about the data model of the invoked service, the BPMN workflow execution will be inefficient due to data conflict. There is lack of dynamically data modeling capability in BPMN, which means some data conflicts might happen in the designed workflow. To solve the problem, this paper introduced a hybrid model combining process and data, which is called process-data (PD) model. PD model defined several data conflict scenarios, which transformed the conflicting problem into parallel collection constructing problem. A novel collection generating method is introduced for the parallel collection creation. Based on the output of method, user can find a way to optimize the data conflict and increase the performance of the workflow.

Hypertext transfer protocol based (HTTP) adaptive streaming (HAS) of video over wireless networks has brings huge challenge for the mobile networks. Although some works have been done for video streaming delivery in heterogeneous cellular networks, most of them are focus on the video streaming scheduling or the caching strategy design. The problem of joint user association and rate allocation to maximize the system utility while satisfying the requirement of the quality of experience of users is largely ignored. In this paper, the problem of joint user association and rate allocation for HTTP adaptive streaming in heterogeneous cellular networks is studied, we model the optimization problem as a mixed integer programming problem. To reduce the computational complexity, an optimal rate allocation using the Lagrangian dual method under the assumption of knowing user association for BSs is first solved. Then we use the many-to-one matching model to analyze the user association problem, and the joint user association and rate allocation based on the distributed greedy matching algorithm is proposed. Finally, extensive simulation results are illustrated to demonstrate the performance of the proposed scheme.

This paper presents a privacy disclosure recommendation approach based on a privacy cost model. The approach involves selecting appropriate credentials or attributes from users, and automatically building a new credential to fulfill service's authorization policies. The recommendation principles consider three aspects: (1) the selected user's attributes in the new credential satisfy the requested service's authorization policy, (2) hiding user's credentials and attributes to keep private during the request procedure, and (3) the total privacy cost of users is minimum. In addition, an automated tool is designed and implemented to derive a new credential. The correctness of our approach is demonstrated and validated by a practical case. Experimental results and complexity analysis show that our approach is efficient.

Mobility pattern of users is decided by people themselves. However, in the daily life, mobile users often repeat regular routes in certain periods. To effectively mine the mobile rules of users and allocate the resource among mobile telecommunication operators and Internet Service Providers（ISP）, grasping the models of human mobility can enable effective network planning and advertisement recommending. In this paper, we employ Apriori algorithm method to mine mobile users’ movement model. The algorithm proposed is based on mining the mobility patterns of users, forming mobility rules from these patterns, and finally predicting a mobile user’s next movement by using the mobility rules. The user mobility patterns are mined from the history of mobile user trajectories. In addition to the analysis of individual mobile behavior, it is possible to mine population movement regularity from a large number of user mobile patterns. By studying the group characteristics the place that a large number of users accessed can be found. Operators can optimize the setting of the base station according to the density of users to meet the needs of mobile users.

The services carried by the Internet have undergone tremendous change over the past decades, along with the emergence of multimedia services and cloud computing, etc. However, there is little change in the framework of network designed primarily for reliable end-to-end communication, which is not suitable for these new services, resulting in poor performance of services and inefficient utilization of network resource. In this paper, we propose a network resource allocation scheme base on SDN(Software Defined Network) an emerging network paradigm, to provide Quality of Service(Qo S) support for various services while balance the link load in the network avoiding congestion and idleness. And we demonstrate its performance via experiments under our SDN test bed.

The major objective of mobility management is to achieve efficient contents transfer for mobile nodes. Content Centric networking (CCN), as a content-oriented architecture, is designed for efficient content delivery which can easily provide mobility management based on content caching. Caching schemes of CCN deeply influences the content acquisition efficiency and whole network performance. However, the existing cache policies are relatively stiff and lack of comprehensive consideration in terms of users and contents. As a result, the performance of caching cannot dynamically adapt to the change of users' demand for content items. In this paper, we propose a Classification-Based Wisdom Caching (CBWC) scheme for CCN, which can distinguish the regional correlation of user requests and reasonably organize cache content items according to the need of users in different regions. We evaluate the CBWC scheme and the results indicate that the proposed CBWC scheme can improve the hit rate of cache and optimize the users' quality of experience, which can be further improve the performance of mobility management.

Mitigating the instability in multi-layer interaction by alternating-offers bargaining model

The objective of overlay routing is to minimize the latency of overlay users, while the objective of traffic engineering is to minimize the maximum link utilization of overall network. Thus, there exists the interaction between overlay routing and traffic engineering in the multi-layer network topology, which may lead to endless routing oscillations and performance degradation in the network. In order to solve the oscillation problem, we propose an alternating-offers bargaining model to investigate the interaction process. We view each route of two players as an offer. With the knowledge from the previous round, two strategies are introduced in each offer to weaken the inevitable conflict between two players. The simulation results show that our proposed strategies can improve the default interaction and achieve satisfactory results at the stable state. © 2015 by Binary Information Press

The cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a serious social problem. For solving this problem, we developed WE-CARE system. The use of 7 lead wires helps collecting sufficient ECG data to guarantee the detection accuracy without impairing the mobility of the system 910. While the traditional algorithms face efficiency challenges for the large data, complicated algoirthm and small capacity of wearable devices. In this paper, we propose a brand new ECG online analyzing algorithm to solve the efficiency problem, called the FEED (Fast Emergency ECG Detection) algorithm. Firstly, FEED algorithm will proeprocess the raw ECG data and do basic feature extramction for it. Secondly, it conducts abnormal signal calissification with the data uploads it to servers for deep analysis. Thirdly, it retrains the classifier and updates parameters for it. Through this kind of design, FEED can achieve high efficiency. The FEED solution is embedded organically in all three layers of the WE-CARE system to alleviate the critical '3V' challenges - variability, volatility and value. Therefore, FEED can fully optimize the performance for WE-CARE system.
