Capacitance current has significant effect on long-distance fault of high-voltage transmission line, and the current single-ended quantity location algorithm can hardly eliminate the effect of capacitance current under the power frequency. To reduce capacitance current’s effect on location algorithm, this paper builds metallic grounding fault model based on RLC type circuit, takes fault location as the unknown variable, builds a mathematical location model within time domain applicable for taking account of capacitance current, and obtains the quadratic equation with one unknown for fault location. Then it substitutes the two independent variables for the linear term and quadratic term, solves independent variables through linear equation, and proves the solution exists and is unique. Then under analysis on the same difference error, it compares magnitude of error generated during calculation of the two independent variables, it corrects difference error first, and inversely solves fault location by selecting the numerically disturbed smaller independent variable. Simulation results indicate the algorithm can accurately take account of effect of capacitance current under different metallic fault conditions, and solve fault location in a stable and accurate manner.

Currently, in promoting ecological civilization construction in China, the coordinated governance of pollution and carbon reduction is regarded as the core strategy and implementation focus. As a new economic transformation and upgrading model, the Electric power big data economy is becoming essential in promoting this process. The entropy method is used to construct evaluation indicators for the Electric power big data economy, pollution reduction, and carbon reduction. Subsequently, a benchmark regression model was built for testing based on carefully considering other variables that may affect pollution reduction and carbon reduction through benchmark regression analysis. Finally, exploring the diversity and specificity of the impact of the Electric power big data economy on pollution reduction and carbon reduction from different dimensions - regional economic differences, Electric power size classification, and specific backgrounds of each city's development stage aims to provide targeted strategic recommendations for policymakers, ensuring the coordinated promotion of the healthy development of Electric power big data economy and environmental protection goals.

High proportion of renewable energy integrated into the power grid results in lower system inertia and deterioration of voltage characteristics. Understanding the reactive power support characteristics of wind/photovoltaic (PV) /storage power station is critical for achieving coordinated control of their reactive power. In this regard, the paper proposes a comprehensive evaluation index system that considers voltage, reactive power support, and reactive power control to evaluate the reactive power support capability of wind/photovoltaic/storage power station. To validate the effectiveness of the index system, this paper constructs a simulation scenario of a wind/photovoltaic/storage power station connected to the regional power grid and calculates the corresponding indices. The fuzzy membership function is used to normalize the indicators. The subjective and objective combination weighting method is used to assign values to the indicators, and the reactive power support capability ratings of each power station are calculated. Finally, the reactive power support capability of the wind/photovoltaic/storage power plant was analyzed in combination with simulation scenarios, and the effectiveness of the comprehensive evaluation index system and method was verified.

After the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals were determined, industrial zones with high energy consumption began investigating their own carbon emission paths and formulating carbon emission reduction strategies. According to the zone's carbon emission projections, a reasonable estimate of the long-term carbon neutrality curve can be made, which has significant research implications for describing the carbon emission path and formulating carbon emission reduction measures. This paper uses the modified Kaya identity to build a model of the zone's carbon emissions. It proposes an algorithm for the zone's carbon-neutrality path matching the carbon peak path and determines the carbon emission peak year and carbon budget of the zone for achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals.

Low voltage as 48 V and large power induction motor will be largely used in hybrid and pure electric vehicle (EV) because of its very high safety. But the winding cables are so thick that assembly of neutral point is very inconvenient and delta connection has to be applied. However, some new problems such as loop current, harmonics, dead-time arise with delta connection. Aiming at the dead-time problem of this induction motor, the characteristics of dead time effect were analyzed in detail, and the two phases average voltage compensation method was derived. Analysis indicate that voltage error caused by snubber circuit under small current leads to the current to be clamped in the vicinity of zero, and presents a compensation method for this error. The earlier crossing zero compensation and a simple method to determine the direction of current are presented to solve zero current clamping effect and the complicate algorithms are avoided. The simulation and experiment results verify the validity and feasibility of these methods. © 2023, Beijing Paike Culture Commu. Co., Ltd.

Extreme weather poses a great challenge to the safe operation of wind power and new power systems dominated by wind power. Providing accurate wind power prediction will be an effective response. For this reason, this paper proposed a short-term power forecasting for wind power generation under extreme weather conditions. Firstly, the relationship between wind speed and wind turbine output power is analyzed and a wind power generation model is established. Then, the Long Short-Term Memory Neural Network (LSTM) is applied to construct a short-term power prediction model for wind turbines, and establishes three models for wind turbine decommissioning under extreme weather. Moreover, the climbing control strategy of wind turbine is also investigated to guarantee the system safety, stability and operation economy. Finally, the numerical analysis is carried out on the wind farm consists of 28 wind turbines, the results verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed method.

Combined heat and power state estimation is the basis for safety assessment, optimal dispatching and other functions in multi-flow energy management centers, and has important theoretical value and practical significance. The measurement system inevitably has gross errors or bad data. The traditional weighted least squares method can't restrain its influence, so the robust estimation method of combined heat and power network based on Huber estimation is proposed. The results of calculation examples show that the proposed method has good robustness and can restrain the influence of gross errors on the estimation accuracy. © 2021 IEEE.

Inrush current occurrence in the power transformers is an unavoidable event that can happen due to energizing no-load transformer. Although various protection methods based on the terminal current and/or voltage have been proposed for transformer protection, the protection malfunction caused by the inrush current still occurs occasionally. In this paper, By comparing different closing angles of transformers with normal condition and differences in leakage flux near the yoke, a simple and accurate method is presented to identify transformer inrush current conditions. The change of the flux density on the leakage flux sensor can effectively identify the transformer inrush current. This identification method has been initially verified in the simulation in Maxwell. © 2020 IEEE.

In order to suppress the continuous commutation failure of the line commutated converter (LCC) in the multi-infeed DC transmission system, the ability of the voltage commutated converter (VSC) in the hybrid multi-infeed DC transmission system to provide fast reactive power support is fully utilized, and a dynamic reactive power support coordination control strategy based on LCC current error controller and VSC constant AC voltage control is proposed. When the LCC experiences continuous commutation failure, the compensation amount of the extinction angle is closely related to the DC current error. The compensation amount of the extinction angle can be obtained according to the DC current error during the transient process. The reactive power support required by the LCC is calculated based on the compensated extinction angle, and the required reactive power support is prioritized to be added to the outer loop reactive power control of the VSC inverter side. By constructing a test system for doubly-fed DC transmission with flexible DC in PSCAD/EMTDC, the test results have confirmed the efficacy of the proposed dynamic reactive power coordination control strategy. The strategy has demonstrated a remarkable ability to enhance LCC's ability to suppress continuous commutation failure. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Traditional power grids for volatility, uncertainty, usually set a pro rata sufficient spare margin, but when the new energy grid capacity increases, if the volatility is so great, this "one size fits all" decision is often expensive, too high thermal power start-up and even result in waste of resources. Therefore, based on the study of the multi-scale flexibility control measures of source network load storage, this paper puts forward the operation planning algorithm to reduce the total operation control risk effectively by coordinating and lowering the backup measures. Synergy with the value of various flexible resources in short-term operation planning to prevent and control the risk of wind, light and power outages in power systems, to achieve flexible operation planning. Finally, through the study, the algorithm proposed in this paper is verified that the algorithm can solve the problem of risk prevention and control in operation planning more economically and safely under the condition of large-scale grid-connected new energy.
