Analysis on carbon emission reduction intensity of fuel cell vehicles from a life-cycle perspective

The hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is rapidly developing in China for carbon reduction and *** paper evaluated the life-cycle cost and carbon emission of hydrogen energy via lots of field surveys,including hydrogen production and packing in chlor-alkali plants,transport by tube trailers,storage and refueling in hydrogen refueling stations(HRSs),and application for use in two different *** also conducted a comparative study for battery electric vehicles(BEVs)and internal combustion engine vehicles(ICEVs).The result indicates that hydrogen fuel cell vehicle(FCV)has the best environmental performance but the highest energy ***,a sufficient hydrogen supply can significantly reduce the carbon intensity and FCV energy cost of the current *** carbon emission for FCV application has the potential to decrease by 73.1%in City A and 43.8%in City *** only takes 11.0%–20.1%of the BEV emission and 8.2%–9.8%of the ICEV *** cost of FCV driving can be reduced by 39.1%in City *** improvement can be obtained with an economical and“greener”hydrogen production pathway.

Electrical tree degradation of MgO/epoxy resin composites at different voltage frequencies

Electrical tree degradation is one of the main causes of insulation failure in high-frequency *** tree degradation is studied on pure epoxy resin(EP)and MgO/EP composites at frequencies ranging from 50 Hz to 130 *** results show that the tree initiation voltage of EP decreases,while the growth rate and the expansion coefficient increase with ***,the bubble phenomenon at high frequencies in EP composites is *** with trap distribution character-istics within the material,the intrinsic mechanism of epoxy composites to inhibit the growth of the electrical tree at different frequencies is *** can be concluded that more deep traps and blocking effect are introduced by doping nano-MgO into EP bulks,which can improve the electrical tree resistance performance of EP composites in a wide frequency range.

Inhibiting liquid permeation into silicone rubber by superhydrophobic coating for prolonged service life

Liquid permeation into silicone rubber(SR)may lead to the degradation or complete failure of the composite *** to inhibit liquid permeation,two kinds of superhydrophobic coatings are applied to the SR *** liquid permeation properties of SR with different types of liquids are investigated,and the Langmuir diffusion model is applied to analyse the experimental *** results show that the composite superhydrophobic coating can effectively inhibit liquid permeation by reducing the contact area between the surface and liquid,and the stable structure of the composite coating can maintain the performance after the liquid permeation and ***,the nano‐particle coating without the polymer binder experiences severe performance degradation during the immersion test,and it cannot restrain the liquid permeation anymore after it loses the *** a validation of the effective protection,the insulation resistivity change was *** resistivity decreases sharply for the pristine SR after water permeation;however,the decrease is much smaller for the coated *** current study not only provides new insight into the liquid permeation properties of SR with different surface wettability but also suggests an effective measure to prevent liquid permeation into SR.

This paper proposes a novel inductor which combines multiple powder cores with different material properties, which can achieve optimization of multiple performance parameters. For inductor which combines multiple powder cores with different material properties and flat copper wire, the model of DC superimposition inductance, the model of core loss, the model of winding loss and the model of thermal resistor network are derived respectively. These models apply to all different kinds of powder cores, core sizes, wire sizes and winding arrangements. According to the above models, the impact of design parameters on performance parameters is analyzed, in which the design parameters include powder core material, core size, air gap, wire size and number of turns while the performance parameters include volume, power loss and temperature rise of the inductor. The analysis can provide theoretical basis for design and optimization of inductor. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The temperature distribution of submarine cables is an important parameter reflecting its operation status. The acquisition of temperature distribution trends for submarine cables under varying seawater flow rates holds important engineering significance. In this paper, the geometric model is constructed using a 220 kV three-core AC armored submarine cable laid on the seabed. The simulation model of AC three-core submarine cable temperature field is proposed based on the coupling of electro-thermal-flow multi-physics field. Finally, the study investigates how the steady-state temperature distribution of submarine cables varies with different seawater flow velocities. The results show that the temperature is radially distributed at the seawater velocity of 0m/s, and the temperatures of different phase conductors are different by the relative position, which are 89.9 °C, 89.6 °C and 89.08 °C, respectively. As the seawater flow velocity increases, the heat taken away from the cable surface by convection increases. When the seawater flow velocity is 1 × 10−6m/s, 0.0001 m/s, 0.001 m/s, 0.001 m/s and 0.001 m/s, the maximum conductor temperatures are 69.5 °C, 44.6 °C, 38.5 °C, 33.6 °C and 32.7 °C, and the ampacity is 871.7 A, 1216 A, 1382.8 A, 1590.7 A and 1640.9 A, respectively. The article designs a new type of bridge circuit with a controlled source—when the resistance on the bridge arm of the controlled source bridge circuit meets the bridge balance condition, and the bridge branch contains only one Current-controlled Current Source (CCCS), a Voltage-controlled Current Source (VCCS), a Current-controlled Voltage Source (CCVS), or a Voltage-controlled Voltage Source (VCVS), the circuit is called a controlled bridge circuit, which has the characteristics of bridge balance. Due to the relationship between the controlled source and the bridge arm, the sensitivity of the components on the bridge is higher mathematically and logically. When applied to measurement, engineering, automatic control, and other fields, the controlled bridge circuit has higher control ac-curacy. Mathematical derivation and simulation results prove the correctness of the bridge balance conclusion and the special properties of this bridge when applied to the measurement field.

Effect of operational and geometric parameters on the hydrodynamics of a Wurster coater:A CFD-DEM study

A coupled CFD-DEM method was used to study the hydrodynamics of a Wurster ***,the CFD part of the model was validated by the accurate prediction of the pressure drops over a pseudo-2D fluidized bed under various gas *** effect of gas velocity,gap height,tube length and batch volume of the particles on the cycle time and the residence time of the particles was thoroughly *** central jet gas velocity ui was found to speed up the particle cycle but undermine the coating *** gas velocity at the horizontal transport zone u2 was able to promote the horizontal transport of the particles but should not be too high,otherwise,it would obstruct the normal falling back of the particles in the downward *** gap heights would decrease the coating efficiency but tube length had little impact on *** increment of batch volume would commonly abase the cycle time and the working efficiency under a given *** de-fluidization problem arose when the batch volume increased to 550 ***,this problem could be swept out by the optimization of u1 and *** a mixture of different sizes,the coarse particles enjoyed higher coating efficiency and could travel closer to the *** may shield the fine particles from getting enough coating liquids,and thus coarse particles and fine particles were not recommended to get coated in the same batch.

Aiming at the power allocation problem of multiple energy storage power stations distributed at different locations in the regional power grid participating in frequency modulation services, a frequency modulation power optimization allocation strategy for multiple energy storage systems considering the dual constraints of frequency modulation cost and frequency modulation capability is proposed. Firstly, a multi-objective optimization allocation model for frequency modulation power is constructed with the minimum frequency modulation cost and minimum deviation of the state of charge (SOC) for energy storage power plants. Secondly, using Pareto based multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA) to solve the model, introduce adaptive weight coefficients and fuzzy membership functions for each objective function regarding the frequency regulation demand of the power grid and the deviation of the SOC of energy storage stations, construct a comprehensive satisfaction function to make decisions on the most advantageous points on the Pareto frontier, in order to obtain the optimal output of each energy storage station that can adapt to the frequency regulation requirements of the power grid. Finally, simulation analysis was conducted on the proposed strategy in this article, and the results showed that: The proposed strategy not only enhances the frequency regulation economy of the regional power grid, but also helps to restore the SOC of the energy storage power station. © 2023 IEEE.
