This paper designs and implements a financial invoice recognition system based on the features of the Chinese financial invoice. By using the linear whole block moving method in each vertical segment, a new fast algorithm is put forward to detect and rectify slanted images. To distinguish the different form types (the foundation necessary for locating the form fields, filtering the form lines, etc), several representative form features are discussed and an invoice-type features library is built by using a semi-automatic machine study method. On the basis of the recognized invoice type, a real invoice form is re-oriented against the corresponding blank form according to the invoice type feature, solving the problem of adhesion of characters and form lines, as well as the problem of character segmentation and recognition. Based on the financial Chinese invoice image feature, a mutual rectification mechanism founded on the recognition results of financial Chinese characters and Arabic numerals is put forward to raise the recognition rate. Finally, experimental results and conclusions are presented.

This paper proposes a new image denoising method which exploits spatial correlation among image wavelet coefficients and classification *** extending the neighbouring threshold of wavelet coefficients for 1D signal to 2D image case,each coefficient in a subband is classified as "large" or "small" category,according to its corresponding neighbouring *** strategies are implemented to the classified *** results show that although very simple,the performance of the proposed method can be competitive to the two excellent state of the art denoising algorithms with spatial adaptivity.

In this paper, we presented a ringing metric to evaluate the quality of images restored using iterative image restoration algorithms. A ringing metrics is used to assessment the restored images based on the Gabor filter. The experimental results validate the proposed method perform well over a wide range of restoration image ringing levels assessment. And the proposed model has given good agreement with observer ratings obtained in subjective experiments.

An improved Zernike moment using a region-based shape descriptor is presented. The improved Zernike moment not only has rotation invariance, but also has scale invariance that the unimproved Zernike moment does not have. The experimental results show that the improved Zernike moment has better invariant properties than the unimproved Zernike moment using a region-based shape descriptor.

Decreasing conventional power supply is promoting the development of the distributed renewable energy sources, such as solar power and wind power. Recently rooftop photovoltaic has been widely applied, and accordingly efficient energy management is getting increasingly important for fully use of renewable energy and the peak shaving of the main grid. This paper investigates the residential energy management as a small-scale virtual power plant (VPP) connected to the main grid includes distributed energy resources, energy storages and residential loads. The self-organizing map (SOM) and the radical basis function (RBF) networks are adopted to classify the weather types and predict hourly photovoltaic output precisely. In a time-of-use electricity market, price-based demand response is applied to adjust the demand. The residential VPP has two goals: maximum profit by selling surplus power to grid and minimum power purchased from grid. The two goals are integrated as an optimization object by introducing a weight parameter. The algorithm combining receding horizon optimization and linear programming is proposed to solve the optimization problem in residential VPP. Numerical simulation tests can help to find the most suitable value of the weight parameter. Different scenarios are simulated and discussed to demonstrate the performance of the VPP and the proposed algorithm. © 2019 Chinese Automatic control Society and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd

Detection of dim moving small targets at low signal noise ratio is a very important issue and difficult problem in infrared searching and tracking system. Based on analysis of the character of infrared images, a new double energy accumulating method is proposed. Firstly, images are denoised by wavelet transformation with soft threshold. Then, object motion area is detected according to difference images and the target intensity is well enhanced by accumulating energy two times with addition and product operation. Finally, target candidates are separated from background by thresholding process with the selected threshold. Computer experiments are carried out with an infrared image sequence and the experimental results illustrate that the proposed method is effective and efficient.

This paper presents a method for the detection of small objects from the infrared images. The detection is performed on the intensity surface well fitted by the cubic facet model. The small target energy distribution presents as a convex surface on the image intensity surface and the target center is the maximal extremum points of the convex surface. According to the extremum theory, the possible small target position is analytically determined by directly convolving the original image with the derivative operators deduced from the bivariate cubic function. With the available coarse target locations, the potential target is separated from the background by examining the intensity features of the target cluster. Experimental results on the sample infrared images demonstrate the proposed algorithm provides a robust and efficient performance.

On basis of developing the synchronous detection Dicke radiometer, a 3mm radiometric imaging system that is controlled by PC and MCU is presented in this paper. Also, the master-slave hardware and software design of imaging system is proposed for the ground application. The beam width of 3mm radiometer is 0.5degree, which makes the imaging system possess higher spatial resolution. The experimental results show that the imaging system works stably and flexible but the radiometer need depressing the affection of system noise for further step.

Segmentation and clustering of infrared small target images in a sky or sea-sky background is considered in this paper, which is the preprocessing part of the detection and recognition of the moving small targets in an infrared image sequence. The infrared image intensity surface is well fitted by the least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM), and then the maximum extremum points are detected on the well fitted intensity surface by convolving the image with the second order directional derivative operators deduced from the mapped LS-SVM with mixtures of kernels. With the coarse locations, the possible targets are extracted by the clustering analysis. The computer experiments are carried out for the real and simulated sky and sea-sky infrared images. The experimental results demonstrate the proposed approach is effective.
