How to stabilize the output voltage while ensuring the maximum charging efficiency of the system is a problem faced by the development of wireless power transfer(WPT). Especially in the dynamic environment, the change of system coupling coefficient or load resistance will have a huge impact on the system. In this paper, a two-stage DC-DC converter control mode is used to control the system with the goal of dynamic charging demand. Among them, the system achieves impedance matching through the receiver DC-DC converter to ensure the transmission efficiency of the system, and in order to match the impedance, the voltage and current information in the coil is used to calculate the coupling coefficient, then, the coupling coefficient can be used to achieve maximum efficiency. The system output voltage is stabilized by using the transmitter DC-DC converter. The simulation experiment shows that the control mode can stabilize the output voltage well, and is more efficient than the single receiver closed loop control(SRCLP) system.

Three-phase grid-connected converters are widely used in renewable and electric power system applications. Due to system nonlinearity and time-variant characteristic, there are limitations in standard decoupled d-q vector control mechanism. To mitigate these limitations, a RNN vector controller trained with Levenberg-Marquardt and FATT(Forward accumulation through time) algorithm is designed. The simulation is researched by using MATLAB software, and the results show that training neural-network algorithm is effective and the system using RNN vector control method outperforms the system using conventional PI control method under low sampling rate conditions.

The real-time state estimation becomes greatly important with the wide application of phasor measurement unit (PMU) in distributed generation (DG) for wide-area measurement systems (WAMS). In view of estimation, particle filter (PF) is capable of providing the best performance but at the cost of heavy computation burden. Besides, the growing grid size sustainably boosts the amount of data communication from PMU, causing the congestion. An event-trigger master-slave nonlinear filter (ET-MSNF) is proposed to guarantee the estimation accuracy and get the communication bandwidth relieved. The local slave filter at the generator node carries out the local estimation and event-trigger strategy using unscented transformation, which is identical to the center slave. The master filter at the center is designed using Monte Carlo method to improve the center's estimation accuracy by the cooperation with the center slave. Such master-slave filtering structure can fully utilize the computation capability both at the center and node. Simulation on the standard IEEE 39-bus system verify the performance of ET-MSNF.

Offline training and testing are playing an essential role in design and evaluation of intelligent vehicle vision algorithms. Nevertheless, long-term inconvenience concerning traditional image datasets is that manually collecting and annotating datasets from real scenes lack testing tasks and diverse environmental conditions. For that virtual datasets can make up for these regrets. In this paper, we propose to construct artificial scenes for evaluating the visual intelligence of intelligent vehicles and generate a new virtual dataset called 'ParallelEye-CS'. First of all, the actual track map data is used to build 3D scene model of Chinese Flagship intelligent Vehicle Proving Center Area, Changshu. Then, the computer graphics and virtual reality technologies are utilized to simulate the virtual testing tasks according to the Chinese intelligent Vehicles Future Challenge (IVFC) tasks. Furthermore, the Unity3D platform is used to generate accurate ground-truth labels and change environmental conditions. As a result, we present a viable implementation method for constructing artificial scenes for traffic vision research. The experimental results show that our method is able to generate photorealistic virtual datasets with diverse testing tasks. © 2018 IEEE.

Trajectory reshaping based guidance with impact time and angle constraints

This study presents a novel impact time and angle constrained guidance law for homing missiles. The guidance law is first developed with the prior-assumption of a stationary target, which is followed by the practical extension to a maneuvering target scenario. To derive the closed-form guidance law, the trajectory reshaping technique is utilized and it results in defining a specific polynomial function with two unknown coefficients. These coefficients are determined to satisfy the impact time and angle constraints as well as the zero miss distance. Furthermore, the proposed guidance law has three additional guidance gains as design parameters which make it possible to adjust the guided trajectory according to the operational conditions and missile's capability. New intelligent era calls for new learners and thus urgently needs a series of artificial intelligence. As a good educational platform for teaching artificial intelligence, smart cars have aroused concern and practices of all parties. However, at present, most courses and training pay more attention to basic knowledge and technology of smart cars, seldom to training based on artificial intelligence curriculum system and comprehensive competency integrating science, technology, art and management. Therefore, based on concept of iSTREAM (intelligence for Science, Technology, Robotics, Engineering, Art, and Management) and Raspberry intelligent vehicle teaching platform, this paper introduced a smart car-themed artificial intelligence courses including basic courses, specialized courses, specialized technical courses and elective courses. This course can guide learners to develop smart cars based on visual cognition, in-depth learning, VR and 3D printing integrated artistic creativity. It combines disciplines such as science, technology, art, games and management to upgrade a single knowledge and technology course into a comprehensive competency course that integrates knowledge, skills, emotion and management. Practice in Beijing NO.13 and NO.101 High School shows that this course allows students to experience scientific research process, learn artificial intelligence related knowledge and skills, understand scientific way of thinking and scientific research methods, stimulate learners' responsibility and scientific passion, and cultivate leadership skills through self-learning and partly project management.

We are entering a new AI era, and the development of AI technology and popularization of AI education has become the national strategy of China. The primary and secondary school students are the builder of future society, and have strong curiosity and passion to learn new things;therefore, we should make a good preparation of AI education for them and cultivate their basic AI literacy and computational thinking to adapt to the future. In this paper, from the viewpoint of thinking mode and literacy and skill training, a curriculum including basic, project, and practical types is designed. Integrating with the iSTREAM educational system proposed by Chinese Academy of Sciences, exploratory works were shown with some case studies. The applications show that AI education is helpful to enrich the study of primary and secondary school students and to prompt comprehensive quality. © 2018 IEEE.

Distributed dynamic modeling and monitoring for large-scale industrial processes under closed-loop control

For large-scale industrial processes under closed-loop control, process dynamics directly resulting from control action are typical characteristics and may show different behaviors between real faults and normal changes of operating conditions. However, conventional distributed monitoring approaches do not consider the closed-loop control mechanism and only explore static characteristics, which thus are incapable of distinguishing between real process faults and nominal changes of operating conditions, leading to unnecessary alarms. In this regard, this paper proposes a distributed monitoring method for closed-loop industrial processes by concurrently exploring static and dynamic characteristics. First, the large-scale closed-loop process is decomposed into several subsystems by developing a sparse slow feature analysis (SSFA) algorithm which capture changes of both static and dynamic information. Second, distributed models are developed to separately capture static and dynamic characteristics from the local and global aspects. Based on the distributed monitoring system, a two-level monitoring strategy is proposed to check different influences on process characteristics resulting from changes of the operating conditions and control action, and thus the two changes can be well distinguished from each other. Case studies are conducted based on both benchmark data and real industrial process data to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Robot plays an increasingly important role in daily life. This paper presents a vision-based wheeled robot for playing Tetris. How to control the robot is elaborated at length in this paper. The robot adopted a KNR controller as its core controller. With a CCD sensor, it identified colored blocks, lines and the destination. All algorithms are programed with LabVIEW. The experiments and the contest validated the effectiveness of the proposed vision-based wheeled robot system.
