Unfavorable environmental cues severely affect crop productivity resulting in significant economic losses to farmers. In plants, multiple regulatory genes, such as the WRKY transcription factor (TF) family, modulate the expression of defense genes. However, the role of the pineapple WRKY genes is poorly understood. Here, we studied the pineapple WRKY gene, AcWRKY28, by generating AcWRKY28 over-expressing transgenic pineapple plants. Overexpression of AcWRKY28 enhanced the salt stress resistance in transgenic pineapple lines. Comparative transcriptome analysis of transgenic and wild-type pineapple plants showed that “plant-pathogen interaction” pathway genes, including 9calcium-dependent protein kinases (CPKs), were up-regulated in AcWRKY28 over-expressing plants. Furthermore, chromatin immunoprecipitation and yeast one-hybrid assays revealed AcCPK12, AcCPK3, AcCPK8, AcCPK1, and AcCPK15 as direct targets of AcWRKY28. Consistently, the study of AcCPK12 over-expressing Arabidopsis lines showed that AcCPK12 enhances salt, drought, and disease resistance. This study shows that AcWRKY28 plays a crucial role in promoting salt stress resistance by activating the expression of AcCPK genes.

Uncontrolled intersections are important and challenging traffic scenarios for autonomous vehicles. Vehicles not only need to avoid collisions with dynamic vehicles instantaneously but also predict their behavior then make long-term decisions in reaction. To solve this problem, we propose a cooperative framework composed of a Primary Driver (PD) for motion planning and a Subordinate Driver (SD) for decision-making. SD is essentially the combination of a prediction module and a high-level behavior planner, which develops a prediction-guided strategy tree to determine the optimal action sequence. Especially, under the guidance of the prediction results, the tree branches are evaluated in security metrics, then get trimmed in action and observation space to reduce the dimensional complexity. With the assistance of SD, PD works as a collision checker and a low-level motion planner to generate a safe and smooth trajectory. We use the INTERACTION dataset to validate our method and achieve more than 90% success rate with efficiency improvement in various situations. © 2022 IEEE.

The combined control of variable speed and variable displacement is a new type of volume control with high efficiency and fast response. However, due to the inherent nonlinearity of multiplication, it brings certain difficulties to the control. The electric double-variable pump[1] is a dual-input single-output system, and it is a nonlinear system[2]. It is necessary to linearize the system or use a nonlinear control method to control and solve the control problem of the system. In this paper, an intelligent control rule is proposed for the nonlinear problem of double input and single output. Through backstepping design[3], the nonlinear system is transformed into multiple linear subsystems. Then the original system is turned into two independent subsystems with single input and single output, which are controlled separately. The co-simulation platform based on AMESIM and Simulink[4] has been verified and compared with a single PID control algorithm to simulate the step response and sinusoidal tracking performance of the system. The results show that the response speed of the system has been greatly improved.

Biomechanics based computer simulation of rural landscape design using remote sensing image technology

Introduction: The strategy and restoration of rural areas and landscape in biomechanics, with a particular emphasis on cellular and molecular biomechanics, is crucial for sustainable rural landscape design. At the cellular and molecular level, plants’ biomechanical properties, such as the rigidity and elasticity of cell walls, determine their growth patterns and responses to environmental factors. These properties are essential in understanding how plants can be effectively incorporated into the rural landscape to enhance its stability and functionality. Aim: The objective of this research is to develop a novel computer simulation model for rural landscape planning using remote sensing imaging technology. Research methodology: We introduce a novel Adaptive YOLOv7 method driven by Starling Murmuration search. UAVs are used to collect extensive visual data for training the model. By considering cellular and molecular biomechanics, we can analyze how the mechanical forces within plants affect their ability to resist wind, retain water, and interact with the surrounding soil and other organisms. This knowledge can be integrated into the model to better predict the long-term viability and adaptability of different plant species in the rural landscape. The combination of the 3D GIS virtual image strategy model and our proposed model, along with SM optimization, not only improves object identification but also takes into account the biomechanical aspects for more accurate simulations. Crowdsourcing helps in precisely mapping rural landscapes and structures, while the incorporation of biomechanical principles ensures better adaptability to changing environmental and ecological conditions. Findings and Conclusion: Implemented in Python software, our SM-AYOLOv7 model shows excellent performance, with metrics like f1 score (93.64%), recall (92.34%), accuracy (91.72%), and IoU (90.23%). It is significant to monitor the thickness change of commercial Li-ion pouch cells that are assembled from Si-based electrodes and layered cathodes since the volume variation is critically linked with kinetic reaction mechanism and chemomechanical degradation. In this work, the single-point and full-field measurements are conducted on the thickness evolution of Si Ox/Cgraphite/lithium nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide(Si Ox-G/NCA) batteries. It is found that an abnormal overshoot that has been rarely observed in the previous studies appears at the beginning of discharge, which is believed to be the combined results between the rapid expansion of NCA and the contraction of graphite related to the state of charge(SOC). Compared with the results of single-point measurement, the spatial displacement distribution obtained from three-dimensional(3D) scanning suggests the full-field thickness evolution of the entire cell scale, which is more feasible and efficient to provide full-field information for supporting pouch cell design and pack integration.

—The precise characterization and modeling of Cyber-Physical-Social systems (CPSS) requires more comprehensive and accurate data, which imposes heightened demands on intelligent sensing capabilities. To address this issue, Crowdsensing Intelligence (CSI) has been proposed to collect data from CPSS by harnessing the collective intelligence of a diverse workforce. Our first and second Distributed/Decentralized Hybrid Workshop on Crowdsensing Intelligence (DHW-CSI) have focused on principles and high-level processes of organizing and operating CSI, as well as the participants, methods, and stages involved in CSI. This letter reports the outcomes of the latest DHW-CSI, focusing on Autonomous Crowdsensing (ACS) enabled by a range of technologies such as decentralized autonomous organizations and operations, large language models, and human-oriented operating systems. Specifically, we explain what ACS is and explore its distinctive features in comparison to traditional crowdsensing. Social engineering (SE) attacks remain a significant threat to both individuals and organizations. The advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI), including diffusion models and large language models (LLMs), has potentially intensified these threats by enabling more personalized and convincing attacks. This survey paper categorizes SE attack mechanisms, analyzes their evolution, and explores methods for measuring these threats. It highlights the challenges in raising awareness about the risks of AI-enhanced SE attacks and offers insights into developing proactive and adaptable defense strategies. Additionally, we introduce a categorization of the evolving nature of AI-powered social engineering attacks into"3E phases": Enlarging, wherein the magnitude of attacks expands through the leverage of digital media;Enriching, introducing novel attack vectors and techniques;and Emerging, signifying the advent of novel threats and methods. Moreover, we emphasize the necessity for a robust framework to assess the risk of AI-powered SE attacks. By identifying and addressing gaps in existing research, we aim to guide future studies and encourage the development of more effective defenses against the growing threat of AI-powered social engineering. The surge in urban population density in China has underscored the vital role of high-speed rail and subway systems in urban transit. Comprehensive transportation hubs, notably high-speed rail passenger terminals, have emerged as linchpins for seamless multimodal transit both within and beyond urban centers. China's railway sector vigorously champions the innovative concept of "station-city integration" and has articulated a forward-looking "16-word policy" for modern railway stations: "Seamless integration, environmental friendliness, economic viability, and intelligent accessibility". The judicious allocation of resources and the augmentation of coordination and control capabilities within comprehensive transportation hubs are imperative for the harmonious evolution of urban transit. The implementation of intelligent control systems for transportation hubs has emerged as a pivotal area of research. This study delves into the framework and critical technologies for high-speed railway comprehensive transport hubs, encompassing various components and their intricate interplay, including transport modalities, infrastructure, travelers, environmental factors, and information systems, thus forming a prototypical cyber-physical-social system. Addressing the prevalent and pressing imperative for the advancement of "station-city integration" high-speed railway comprehensive transport hubs, this research endeavor aims to surmount bottleneck challenges and refine the oversight of passenger flows at high-speed rail terminals. The findings hold noteworthy theoretical import and portend promising practical applications.

In the case of scarce communication resources, the importance of different vehicle communication levels is self-evident. They not only affect the efficiency of information exchange between vehicles and driving safety, but also directly affect the rational allocation and utilization of communication resources. Therefore, this paper proposes a signal detection method based on vehicle social relationship strength (SRS) in vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) scenario, and integrates the SRS information into the data to be transmitted. In this method, minimum mean square error (MMSE) signal detection algorithm is selected for simulation, and Rayleigh channel and Rician channel are selected for simulation scenarios. This method makes full use of the intensity of social relationship between vehicles, and realizes the efficient transmission of data and the accurate transmission of communication level. Experimental verification shows that the method performs well in the VANETs scenario, and provides a new communication method for intelligent transportation, social network and other applications, which is expected to promote the technical progress and application development in related fields.
