To ensure reliable localization for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) in the presence of uncertain speed of the Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), this study examines the relative localization problem of UAV-UGV using distance and bearing measurements. A Correlation of Bearing and Distance-based Relative Localization (CBDRL) algorithm is proposed in this paper under this scenario. The estimation of altitude, distance, and angle are simplified into a representation of the relative positioning between the UAV and UGV. The relative height difference is measured using the barometer in the algorithm. To determine the relative distance, Time of Arrival (TOA) ranging and Ultra Wide Band (UWB) communication are utilized. The relative direction measurement is then determined using the correlations of bearing and distance. We integrate these observations with height, direction, and distance data in an Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) to provide accurate and reliable relative position estimates that allow the UAV to track the target. The simulation results indicate that the CBDRL method developed in this study is superior to previous relative localization algorithms that rely on multi-sensor fusion, and can significantly enhance the accuracy of UAV positioning provided that range and angle measurements are precise enough. © 2023 IEEE.

The accurate and efficient vessel draft reading (VDR) is an important component of intelligent maritime surveillance, which could be exploited to assist in judging whether the vessel is normally loaded or overloaded. The computer vision technique with an excellent price-to-performance ratio has become a popular medium to estimate vessel draft depth. However, the traditional estimation methods easily suffer from several limitations, such as sensitivity to low-quality images, high computational cost, etc. In this work, we propose a multi-task learning-enabled computational method (termed MTL-VDR) for generating highly reliable VDR. In particular, our MTL-VDR mainly consists of four components, i.e., draft mark detection, draft scale recognition, vessel/water segmentation, and final draft depth estimation. We first construct a benchmark dataset related to draft mark detection and employ a powerful and efficient convolutional neural network to accurately perform the detection task. The multi-task learning method is then proposed for simultaneous draft scale recognition and vessel/water segmentation. To obtain more robust VDR under complex conditions (e.g., damaged and stained scales, etc.), the accurate draft scales are generated by an automatic correction method, which is presented based on the spatial distribution rules of draft scales. Finally, an adaptive computational method is exploited to yield an accurate and robust draft depth. Extensive experiments have been implemented on the realistic dataset to compare our MTL-VDR with state-of-the-art methods. The results have demonstrated its superior performance in terms of accuracy, robustness, and efficiency. The computational speed exceeds 40 FPS, which satisfies the requirements of real-time maritime surveillance to guarantee vessel traffic safety. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

Wind power generations have received widespread concern recently, however, due to the continuity of time series, ordinary machine learning models cannot learn the dependencies of continuous time series data well. To better predict the time series and improve the prediction effect of wind power, a shortterm wind power prediction method based on K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN) and Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit(BiGRU) is proposed. Firstly, KNN is used to detect outliers in the wind speed-power sequence in the field collected data, and then the wind speed value of all abnormal data is modified to the mean value of wind speed. Then the modified data is input to the bidirectional gated recurrent unit for prediction. The bidirectional gated recurrent unit can efficiently learn the context information of the data and improve the prediction effect. The experimental results show that the proposed prediction method based on KNN-BiGRU obtains a good prediction effect on a single unit. Compared with other methods, it has the best prediction effect on multi-unit where the accuracy rate is 8 4. 3 0 4 %. © 2024 IEEE.

Stereo vision plays a crucial role in scientific expeditions and facility maintenance. However, fixed-baseline stereo vision lacks accuracy for long-distance measurements, while wide-baseline stereo vision encounters occlusion issues at short distances. In this study, a wide-baseline stereo matching based on multi-view geometric constraints is proposed. Initially, the camera poses of multiple wide-baseline images are estimated, followed by image rectification and depth estimation. Subsequently, the disparity searching is constrained using geometric relationships among the views, resulting in more precise depth maps. Experiments were conducted to verify the superiority of the proposed method. The results indicate that the proposed method achieves an RMSE as low as 0.15 meters, even with invalid depth points. Compared to traditional stereo vision methods, accuracy is improved by approximately 35%, and robustness is significantly enhanced. In the aircraft runway scenario, overall depth map accuracy is higher, and occluded areas are significantly reduced. © 2024 IEEE.

When arriving at the airport,flight needs to be served by special *** at the dynamic time window scheduling problem of airport refueling vehicles,this paper establishes a vehicle routing problem model with time window to minimize the operating ***,a multi-strategy genetic algorithm is designed to gain the solve time window scheduling problem,which employs the crossover based on particle swarm optimization to accelerate the early search capability,and the local search method based on simulated annealing to increase the local optimization *** aiming at dynamically adjusting vehicle routes on the basis of static scheduling,a local replanning strategy based on a dynamic time window is introduced,which uses the original route matching and rescheduling *** results show that the multi-strategy hybrid algorithm can effectively reduce the number of routes and vehicles the airport *** different scales' dynamic changes of time windows,the algorithm could enable vehicles to still meet time constraints and effectively minimize the change of routes.

Clinical experiments and scientific evidence show the relations between gait and cognition. Neurological diseases (like stroke and cerebral palsy) distract patients' attention and restrict their executive functions. Furthermore, these diseases impair patients' movement and limit their social participation. Quantitative motion assessment is significant to medical decision-making for neurological disorders but is possible only with expensive motion capture systems and professional medical workers. Here, an end-To-end video-based quantitative gait analysis algorithm is proposed. Unlike previous works, which only focus on image coordinate key-points, our algorithm also utilizes scaled key-points that can depict the size of patients. These two groups of features are sent to other neural networks to extract temporal and spatial characteristics, and then the deep features are fused by the attention mechanism. Finally, a statistic model is used to process the proposed outputs to get a final result. Experiments on the public patients' dataset show the effectiveness and accuracy of our model. Furthermore, the ablation study proves that every step of the proposed method contributes to the whole system's performance. © 2022 IEEE.

In recent visual tracking research,correlation filter(CF)based trackers become popular because of their high speed and considerable *** methods mainly work on the extension of features and the solution of the boundary effect to learn a better correlation ***,the related studies are *** exploring the potential of trackers in these two aspects,a novel adaptive padding correlation filter(APCF)with feature group fusion is proposed for robust visual tracking in this paper based on the popular context-aware tracking *** the tracker,three feature groups are fused by use of the weighted sum of the normalized response maps,to alleviate the risk of drift caused by the extreme change of single ***,to improve the adaptive ability of padding for the filter training of different object shapes,the best padding is selected from the preset pool according to tracking precision over the whole video,where tracking precision is predicted according to the prediction model trained by use of the sequence features of the first several *** sequence features include three traditional features and eight newly constructed *** experiments demonstrate that the proposed tracker is superior to most state-of-the-art correlation filter based trackers and has a stable improvement compared to the basic trackers.
