The reentrancy vulnerability in smart contracts has caused significant losses in the digital currency economy. Existing solutions for detecting and repairing this vulnerability are limited in scope and lack a comprehensive framework. Additionally, there is currently a lack of guidance methods for effectively pinpointing the location of vulnerabilities. The proposed bytecode-level method addresses these challenges by incorporating a detection module, an auxiliary localization module, and a repair module. An opcode classification method is introduced using vulnerability features and a BiLSTM-Attention-based sequence model to enhance detection accuracy. To overcome difficulties in vulnerability localization, an auxiliary localization method based on data flow and control flow analysis is proposed, enabling developers to better locate vulnerabilities. Current reentrancy vulnerability repair methods are analyzed and strategies for three reachable patterns are proposed. The bytecode rewriting strategy utilizes Trampoline technology for repair, while a fuel optimization method reduces bytecode generation length to optimize gas costs. Through extensive experimental validation, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed methods are confirmed, further validating the feasibility of the entire framework. Experimental results demonstrate that the framework offers enhanced protection against reentrancy vulnerability attacks in smart contracts. © 2023 The Authors. A novel Construction of Updatable Identity-Based Hash Proof System and Its Applications

In the previous works, to further provide the continuous leakage resilience for the identity-based encryption scheme, a new cryptography primitive, called updatable identity-based hash proof system(U-IB-HPS),was proposed. However, most of the existing constructions have some deficiencies, they either do not have perfect key update function or the corresponding security with tight reduction relies on a non-static complexity assumption. To address the above problems, a new construction of U-IB-HPS is created, and the corresponding security of our system is proved based on the static complexity assumption. Also, the corresponding comparisons and analysis of performances show that our proposal not only achieves the perfect key update function and the anonymity, but also has the tight security reduction. In additional, our proposal achieves the same computational efficiency as other previous systems. To further illustrate the practical function of U-IB-HPS, a generic method of non-interactive data authorization protocol with continuous leakage resilience is designed by employing U-IB-HPS as an underlying tool, which can provide continuous leakage-resilient data authorization function for the cloud computing. Hence, the application field of U-IB-HPS is further extended through our study.

Nowadays, artificial intelligence-based tasks are imposing increasing demands on computation resources and energy consumption. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are widely utilized in mobile edge computing (MEC) due to maneuverability and integration of MEC servers, providing computation assistance to ground terminals (GTs). The task offloading process from GTs to UAVs in UAV-enabled MEC faces challenges such as workload imbalance among UAVs due to uneven GT distribution and conflicts arising from the increasing number of GTs and limited communication resources. Additionally, the dynamic nature of communication networks and workload needs to be considered. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a Multi-Agent Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient based distributed offloading method, named DMARL, treating each GT as an independent decision-maker responsible for determining task offloading strategies and transmission power. Furthermore, a UAV-enabled MEC with Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access architecture is introduced, incorporating task computation and transmission queue models. In addition, a differential reward function that considers both system-level rewards and individual rewards for each GT is designed. Simulation experiments conducted in three different scenarios demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits superior performance in balancing latency and energy consumption. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

Alignment efficient image-sentence retrieval considering transferable cross-modal representation learning

Traditional image-sentence cross-modal retrieval methods usually aim to learn consistent representations of heterogeneous modalities,thereby to search similar instances in one modality according to the query from another modality in *** basic assumption behind these methods is that parallel multi-modal data(i.e.,different modalities of the same example are aligned)can be obtained in *** other words,the image-sentence cross-modal retrieval task is a supervised task with the alignments as ***,in many real-world applications,it is difficult to realign a large amount of parallel data for new scenarios due to the substantial labor costs,leading the non-parallel multi-modal data and existing methods cannot be used *** the other hand,there actually exists auxiliary parallel multi-modal data with similar semantics,which can assist the non-parallel data to learn the consistent ***,in this paper,we aim at“Alignment Efficient Image-Sentence Retrieval”(AEIR),which recurs to the auxiliary parallel image-sentence data as the source domain data,and takes the non-parallel data as the target domain *** single-modal transfer learning,AEIR learns consistent image-sentence cross-modal representations of target domain by transferring the alignments of existing parallel ***,AEIR learns the image-sentence consistent representations in source domain with parallel data,while transferring the alignment knowledge across domains by jointly optimizing a novel designed cross-domain cross-modal metric learning based constraint with intra-modal domain adversarial ***,we can effectively learn the consistent representations for target domain considering both the structure and semantic ***,extensive experiments on different transfer scenarios validate that AEIR can achieve better retrieval results comparing with the baselines.

Understanding human's emotion is a vital task in the computer science and machine learning. People could easily distinguish the genuine and posed anger while it could be difficult for computers to judge the authenticity of anger. In this paper, apart from the fully connected Neural Networks built in the previous research, methods of LSTM (Long short-term memory) Networks and Fuzzy logic classification are also built for telling the posed angers from genuine ones using limited data. Then the paper compared the performance of these three popular classification methods. Carefully designed modifications have been made on these models to increase the performance. © 2023 IEEE.

Nowadays, there exists a lot of cross-region data transmission demand on cloud. It is promising to use serverless computing for compressing data to save the transmission data amount. However, it is challenging to estimate the data transmission time and monetary cost with serverless compression. In addition, minimizing the data transmission cost is non-trivial due to enormous parameter space and joint optimization. This paper focuses on this problem and makes the following contributions: (1) We propose empirical data transmission time and monetary cost models based on serverless compression. (2) For single-task cloud data transmission, we propose two efficient parameter search methods based on Sequential Quadratic Programming (SQP ) and Eliminate then Divide and Conquer (EDC), which are theoretically proven with error upper bounds. (3) Furthermore, for multi-task cloud data transmission, a parameter search method based on dynamic programming and numerical computation is proposed to reduce the algorithm complexity from exponential to linear complexity. We have implemented the entire actual system and evaluated it with various workloads and application cases on the real-world AWS serverless computing platform. Experimental results on cross-region public cloud show that the proposed approach can improve the parameter search efficiency by more than 3× compared with the state-of-art parameter search methods and achieves better parameter quality. Compared with other competing cloud data transmission approaches, our approach is able to achieve higher time efficiency and lower monetary cost. © 2023 IEEE.

Recently, Transformers have shown impressive performance in image super-resolution (SR), due to exploiting strong representation ability of multi-head self-attention (MSA). However, existing methods typically calculate MSA in a single range and granularity, preventing the model from capturing sufficient relationships between pixels, thus leading to inferior representation ability. To address this issue, we propose Multi-range and Mix-grained Transformer (M2TSR) for accurate image SR. In particular, we develop Multi-range and Mix-grained Transformer Block (M2TB) that construct diverse MSA to extract distinct relationships under various ranges and granularities. The short-range MSAS focus on extracting local relationships. Then, the MSAL expands ranges to capture the complex relationships inherent in long-range pixels. Meanwhile, fine and coarse-grained features are employed to model distinct relationships at various granularities. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of M2TSR over the SOTA methods. The lightweight variant, M2TSRS, also achieves a better trade-off between performance and computation cost against advanced lightweight methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Sparse and Dense: Learning Confusion Representation Network for 3D Action Recognition

In the field of the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), the demand for Human Action Recognition (HAR) is growing. Due to the limitations of portability and privacy of traditional sensors, many endeavors have made significant progress in 3D skeleton-based action recognition. However, existing methods ignore potential higher-order semantic information between joints and fail to perceive rapidly changing dynamic details, resulting in frequent confusion of actions with similar motion trajectories. To alleviate this issue, we propose a novel learning confusion representation network (LCR-Net). Specifically, a progressive feature enhancement module is first designed to utilize self-attention to gradually aggregate lower-order features to higher-order features, emphasizing the relative movement between body parts. Second, we design the enhanced spatiotemporal convolution to explore the potential spatio-temporal dependencies between joints by adding a mask matrix and an attention fusion mechanism. To further perceive the spatiotemporal relationships in subtle changes, we divide the interactive sparse-dense pathways at different spatio-temporal resolutions and enhance the complementary information between the two pathways through feature interaction. Finally, the frequency excitation learning module is proposed to efficiently learn the importance of different frequencies by cross-channel modeling, promoting the compactness of actions within classes and the separability of confusion actions. In addition, the lightweight LCR-Net+ is achieved through model compression optimization to meet the deployment requirements of IoT systems. Comprehensive experiments conducted on three public datasets (NTU-RGB+ D60&120, NW-UCLA) demonstrate the superior performance of our model. © 2025 IEEE. All rights reserved.
