Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in ***,cardiotoxicity is one of the most important adverse effects assessed by arrhythmia recognition in drug ***,cell-based techniques developed for arhythmia recognition primarily employ linear methods such as time-domain analysis that detect and compare individual waveforms and thus fall short in some applications that require automated and efficient arrhythmia recognition from large *** carried out the frst report to develop a biosensing system that integrated impedance measurement and multiparameter nonlinear dynamic algorithm(MNDA)analysis for druginduced arrhythmia recognition and *** biosensing system cultured cardiomyocytes as physiologically relevant models,used interdigitated electrodes to detect the mechanical beating of the cardiomyocytes,and employed MNDA analysis to recognize drug-induced arrhythmia from the cardiomyocyte beating *** best performing MNDA parameter,approximate entropy,enabled the system to recognize the appearance of sertindoleand norepinephrine-induced arrhythmia in the *** MNDA reconstruction in phase space enabled the system to classify the different arrhythmias and quantify the severity of *** new biosensing system utilizing MNDA provides a promising and alternative method for drug-induced arrhythmia recognition and classification in cardiological and pharmaceutical applications.

Image forgery localization (IFL) is a crucial technique for preventing tampered image misuse and protecting social safety. However, due to the rapid development of image tampering technologies, extracting more comprehensive and accurate forgery clues remains an urgent challenge. To address these challenges, we introduce a novel information-theoretic IFL framework named SUMI-IFL that imposes sufficiency-view and minimality-view constraints on forgery feature representation. First, grounded in the theoretical analysis of mutual information, the sufficiency-view constraint is enforced on the feature extraction network to ensure that the latent forgery feature contains comprehensive forgery clues. Considering that forgery clues obtained from a single aspect alone may be incomplete, we construct the latent forgery feature by integrating several individual forgery features from multiple perspectives. Second, based on the information bottleneck, the minimality-view constraint is imposed on the feature reasoning network to achieve an accurate and concise forgery feature representation that counters the interference of task-unrelated features. Extensive experiments show the superior performance of SUMI-IFL to existing state-of-the-art methods, not only on in-dataset comparisons but also on cross-dataset comparisons. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). 3D Medical Image Segmentation with Sparse Annotation via Cross-Teaching between 3D and 2D Networks

Medical image segmentation typically necessitates a large and precisely annotated dataset. However, obtaining pixel-wise annotation is a labor-intensive task that requires significant effort from domain experts, making it challenging to obtain in practical clinical scenarios. In such situations, reducing the amount of annotation required is a more practical approach. One feasible direction is sparse annotation, which involves annotating only a few slices, and has several advantages over traditional weak annotation methods such as bounding boxes and scribbles, as it preserves exact boundaries. However, learning from sparse annotation is challenging due to the scarcity of supervision signals. To address this issue, we propose a framework that can robustly learn from sparse annotation using the cross-teaching of both 3D and 2D networks. Considering the characteristic of these networks, we develop two pseudo label selection strategies, which are hard-soft confidence threshold and consistent label fusion. Our experimental results on the MMWHS dataset demonstrate that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art (SOTA) semi-supervised segmentation methods. Formal Methods (FM) uses mathematical notations to precisely and accurately define specifications, which helps detect errors and inconsistencies in software development. For mathematical notations, a proper mathematical framework is needed to describe and specify the behavior and structure of software systems. A few specification languages provide that framework; one is Z, which significantly enhances the quality of system specification, design, and verification. This paper introduces a formal specification for a virtual reminder system using Z schema, which signifies the importance of formal specifications that can also be used for voice assistant specifications. A virtual Reminder System (VRS) is an assistant based on speech recognition and speaker identification; a personal voice-controlled aid for the user to remind about event-based tasks that do not need some specific time to be completed but are event-based like reaching a location or any keyword/phrase spoken by the user related to some specific topic. The specified keyword/phrase can be anything, such as a person's name, place name, or phrase. Using FM reduced development time, verification efforts. and maintenance costs.

Fuzzing is an effective approach to detect software vulnerabilities utilizing changeable generated inputs. However, fuzzing the network protocol on the firmware of IoT devices is limited by inefficiency of test case generation, cross-architecture instrumentation, and fault detection. In this article, we propose the Fw-fuzz, a coverage-guided and crossplatform framework for fuzzing network services running in the context of firmware on embedded architectures, which can generate more valuable test cases by introspecting program runtime information and using a genetic algorithm model. Specifically, we propose novel dynamic instrumentation in Fw-fuzz to collect the running state of the firmware program. Then Fw-fuzz adopts a genetic algorithm model to guide the generation of inputs with high code coverage. We fully implement the prototype system of Fw-fuzz and conduct evaluations on network service programs of various architectures in MIPS, ARM, and PPC. By comparing with the protocol fuzzers Boofuzz and Peach in metrics of edge coverage, our prototype system achieves an average growth of 33.7% and 38.4%, respectively. We further verify six known vulnerabilities and discover 5 0-day vulnerabilities with the Fw-fuzz, which prove the validity and utility of our framework. The overhead of our system expressed as an additional 5% of memory growth. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

High-Fidelity and High-Efficiency Talking Portrait Synthesis With Detail-Aware Neural Radiance Fields

In this paper, we propose a novel rendering framework based on neural radiance fields (NeRF) named HH-NeRF that can generate high-resolution audio-driven talking portrait videos with high fidelity and fast rendering. Specifically, our framework includes a detail-aware NeRF module and an efficient conditional super-resolution module. Firstly, a detail-aware NeRF is proposed to efficiently generate a high-fidelity low-resolution talking head, by using the encoded volume density estimation and audio-eye-aware color calculation. This module can capture natural eye blinks and high-frequency details, and maintain a similar rendering time as previous fast methods. Secondly, we present an efficient conditional super-resolution module on the dynamic scene to directly generate the high-resolution portrait with our low-resolution head. Incorporated with the prior information, such as depth map and audio features, our new proposed efficient conditional super resolution module can adopt a lightweight network to efficiently generate realistic and distinct high-resolution videos. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method can generate more distinct and fidelity talking portraits on high resolution (900 × 900) videos compared to state-of-the-art methods. This paper explores a multi-user covert communication scenario with the assistance of a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS). Except a covert user monitored by the warden, there are multiple public users existing in the service area. For the purpose of evaluating the efficacy of the covert communication system, a covert constraint is derived measuring the minimum detection error probability of the warden through the Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence. Then an optimization problem is formulated to maximize the convert rate, while ensuring the constraints of covertness, transmit power and quality of service (QoS) for public users. A two-step iterative algorithm jointly designing the active and passive beamforming, is put forth to efficiently resolve this non-convex optimization problem. Additionally, the numerical results clearly demonstrate that the proposed RIS-assisted scheme can significantly enhance the covert communication performance on the premise of guaranteeing the public communication performance of the system. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Current service robots without learning ability are not qualified for many complex tasks. Therefore, it is very significant to decompose the complex task into repeatable execution unit. In this paper, we propose a complex task representation method based on dynamic motion primitives, and use hierarchical knowledge graph to represent the analytic results of complex tasks. To realize the execution of complex robot manipulation tasks, we decompose the semantic tasks into the minimum motion units that can be executed by the robot and combine the multi-modal information: posture, force and robot joint parameters, obtained by the sensors. We use the knowledge graph to record the end-effector required by the robot to perform different tasks and make appropriate selection of end-effector according to different needs. Finally, Taking the long sequence complex task of service scene as an example, we use UR5 robot to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of this design. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

A Survey of Source Code Search: A 3-Dimensional Perspective

(Source) code search is widely concerned by software engineering researchers because it can improve the productivity and quality of software development. Given a functionality requirement usually described in a natural language sentence, a code search system can retrieve code snippets that satisfy the requirement from a large-scale code corpus, e.g., GitHub. To realize effective and efficient code search, many techniques have been proposed successively. These techniques improve code search performance mainly by optimizing three core components, including query understanding component, code understanding component, and query-code matching component. In this paper, we provide a 3-dimensional perspective survey for code search. Specifically, we categorize existing code search studies into query-end optimization techniques, code-end optimization techniques, and match-end optimization techniques according to the specific components they optimize. Considering that each end can be optimized independently and contributes to the code search performance, we treat each end as a dimension. Therefore, this survey is 3-dimensional in nature, and it provides a comprehensive summary of each dimension in detail. To understand the research trends of the three dimensions in existing code search studies, we systematically review 68 relevant literatures. Different from existing code search surveys that only focus on the query end or code end or introduce various aspects shallowly (including codebase, evaluation metrics, modeling technique, etc.), our survey provides a more nuanced analysis and review of the evolution and development of the underlying techniques used in the three ends.
