Traditional content management systems (CMS) for digital television (TV) services usually attempt to provide friendly user interfaces with some content information for attracting new subscriptions. However, the searching and subscription functions provide limited abilities for user requirement elicitation and matchmaking of contents. With the help of ontology, this paper purposes an agent-based content management system for digital TV services. Not only users can retrieve matched contents effectively, service providers can also obtain multi-level analysis of user behaviors and achieve cross-sale of contents and services. We demonstrate the flexibility of our approach with a sample ontology and system architecture.

We present a novel technique for real-timely rendering translucent objects. Our technique is mainly based on translucent shadow maps with a new adaptive sampling strategy. In this sampling strategy, the hierarchy levels and positions for sampling are selected according to the size of target object. By our optimization, less storage in the texture is required than that in previous methods. Compared with previous methods, our technique provide a way to choose the proper sampling pattern and is applicable for a wider range of object sizes. With the implementation on GPU, the presented technique is able to render translucent objects in animated scenes where lights and material parameters vary real-timely without any lengthy preprocessing.

Traditional access control solutions suffer from difficulties in access rights authorization and usage policy enforcement, especially in highly distributed environments. The layered nature of common digital content should also be exploited to efficiently provide the user with choices over digital content layers. This paper presents a layered access control architecture L-UCON based on usage control model UCON and trusted computing. We are motivated to design L-UCON as a general access solution by binding policies to usage controlled digital content. Moreover, L-UCON is a negotiable solution caring about both the user's and the owner's benefits. Test results show that performance of L-UCON is acceptable.

Starting with some simple representative quantum programming languages, this paper lays stress on quantum computation, language paradigm, program structure, input/output, exception facility, and especially the recent results of the quantum computation group at Nanjing University, namely the functional quantum programming language NDQFP. This paper presents two new conflict-driven techniques for improving transition fault coverage using multiple scan chains. These techniques are based on a novel test application scheme, in order to break the functional dependency of broadside testing. The two new techniques analyze the ATPG conflicts in broadside test generation, and try to control the flip-flops with most influence on the fault coverage. The conflict-driven method selects some flip-flops that work in the enhanced mode and distributes them into different chains. In the multiple scan chain architecture, to avoid too many scan-in pins, some chains are driven by the same scan-in pin to construct a tree-based architecture. Based on the architecture, the new test application scheme allows some flip-flops working in the enhanced mode, while most of others working in the traditional broadside mode. With the efficient conflict-driven selection method, fault coverage is improved greatly, which can also reduce test application time and compress test data volume. Experimental results show that fault coverage based on the proposed method is comparable to the enhanced scan.

This paper is devoted to the consensus control for a network of autonomous agents with high-dimension linear coupling dynamics and subject to external disturbances. By transforming the consensus control problem into an H infin control problem, we propose a distributed state feedback protocol, and obtain conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) to ensure the consensus with a prescribed H infin performance level for networks with zero and nonzero communication delays, respectively. Furthermore, the undetermined feedback matrix of the proposed protocol is also solved. A numerical example is included to validate the theoretical results.
