We consider a cognitive radio network in which multiple pairs of secondary users (SUs) communicate by a one-way relay node over orthogonal channels with the existence of an eavesdropper close to the destination. The transmit power of the relay needs efficient distribution for maximizing the sum secrecy rate of the SU pairs, meanwhile satisfying the interference constraint at the single primary user (PU). Specifically, we introduce two multi-object auctions, i.e. the Vickrey auction and the sequential first-price auction, to perform this power allocation problem. We prove the existence and give the general form of the only equilibrium for each auction. We also propose two algorithms based on the equilibriums, respectively. From the simulation results, we see that the system secrecy rate curve of the Vickrey auction gradually coincides with that of the optimal allocation with increasing power units, while the sequential first-price auction reflects more fairness.

In this paper, we illustrate our attempt in an effective method of free space optical (FSO) communications. Firstly, a pulse-position modulated (PPM) optical interleave-division multiple-access (OIDMA) system is designed. Secondly, to alleviate the degrading effects of atmospheric turbulence, cooperative relay technique is adopted by OIDMA for achieving spatial diversity and robust transmission performance. Thirdly, to study the convergence behavior of the proposed relay-assisted optical PPM-OIDMA system, extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) charts are analyzed. By deriving the trajectories of the exchanged extrinsic information from EXIT charts, the time of iterations required for convergence can be easily predicted. The effects of scintillation, thermal noise, background noise and multi-user interference have been taken into consideration.

According to the human visual sensitivity characteristics to spatial depth changes, this paper studies the just noticeable depth difference (JNDD) of the detail perception. The JNDD model is proposed through derivation and analysis on a large number of subjective experiments. Then, a trilateral filtering algorithm is presented based on the model to suppress the unperceivable depth details and to minimize the rendering artifacts due to the inaccurate depth estimation. Subjective and objective experimental results prove that the proposed trilateral filtering algorithm for depth map based on JNDD model can smooth the object edges and reduce the edge noise in the synthesized view while reduce the bit rates.
