This paper investigates distributed leader-following swarm of heterogeneous multi-agent systems. Comparing with the existing works on leader-following swarm of homogeneous multi-agent systems, this paper is much more approaching the practical situation because the agents have different dynamics. We show that the heterogeneous followers will gather with a certain error lever under some assumptions and conditions. The stability properties have been proven by theoretical analysis and verified via numerical simulation. The stability of the heterogeneous multi-agent systems has been achieved based on matrix theory and the Lyapunov stability theorem. Numerical simulation is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical result.

Decentralizing attribute based encryption is a variant of multi-authority attribute based encryption which doesn't require a trusted central authority to conduct the system setup. In this paper, we propose an expressive decentralizing KP-ABE scheme with constant ciphertext size. In our construction, the access policy can be expressed as any non-monotone access structure. Meanwhile, the ciphertext size is independent on the number of attributes used in the scheme. We prove that our scheme is semantic secure in so-called Selective-Set model based on the n-DBDHE assumption. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first multi-authority attribute based encryption scheme realizing such expressive access policy and constant ciphertext size.

This paper presents an image hierarchical super-resolution (SR) method with adaptive dictionaries, based on signal sparse representation. It can not only improve image detail quality but also reduce computational cost. Research on the human visual system suggests that our eyes are mainly sensitive to high-frequency contents. Inspired by this observation, we implemented a hierarchical process where an image was decomposed into a detail layer and a base layer. The detail layer is reconstructed through an over-complete dictionary while the base layer is interpolated by bi-cubic. Through these, we can keep the HR details better. Next is how to accelerate while keeping good quality. In our method, adaptive dictionaries are trained by feature clustering. Firstly, we train low dimension sub-dictionaries to reduce time complexity. Secondly, then we apply overlapping feature clustering to the training. Thus dictionaries can be adaptive and more complete. All these can also prevent sub-dictionaries with over strong independence but less compatibility. Besides, initializing the sparse coefficients also plays an important role in our acceleration. Experimental results validate that ours are competitive or even superior in quality than those produced by other methods and our test data indicates substantial reduction in processing time over other similar SR methods.

In the southern Huanghai (Yellow Sea), seismic exploration for oil and gas in pre-Tertiary strata encounters some difficulties, such as poor geological conditions at depth, screened seismic waves, and serious attenuation of seismic energy, so that the reflective signals from the Mesozoic and Paleozoic systems cannot be recognized. To solve this issue by other approach, an experiment of seafloor magnetotelluric (MT) sounding was carried out in this region in May 2006. This work has deployed 3 measurement sites on the Wulian slope and Jiaozhou sag in the basin and obtained good data. In this article, we present the difference of data processing between the marine MT and routine MT soundings, and analyze the influence of marine electromagnetic noise on the MT observation on seafloor. We propose correction methods for the horizontal attitude and orientation of the instrument as well as removal of marine noise. Using these and other regular methods, we have performed data processing and inversion, and a comprehensive analysis of geology and physical properties. The result shows that there are residual Paleozoic strata below the seafloor in the southern Huanghai. This is of great significance for prospect assessment of oil and gas in the pre-Tertiary system in this region. The experiment also demonstrates that the marine MT technology can play an important role in exploration of relict basins of Paleozoic time.

We study the two-dimensional traffic of cellular automata using computer simulation. We propose two type of decentralized cooperation strategies, which are called stepping aside (CS-SA) and choosing alternative routes (CS-CAR) respectively. We introduce them into an existing two-dimensional cellular automata (CA) model. CS-SA is designed to prohibit a kind of ping-pong jump when two objects standing together try to move in opposite directions. CS-CAR is designed to change the solution of conflict in parallel update. CS-CAR encourages the objects involved in parallel conflicts choose their alternative routes instead of waiting. We also combine the two cooperation strategies (CS-SA-CAR) to test their combined effects. It is found that the system keeps on a partial jam phase with nonzero velocity and flow until the density reaches one. The ratios of the ping-pong jump and the waiting objects involved in conflict are decreased obviously, especially at the free phase. And the average flow is improved by the three cooperation strategies. Although the average travel time is lengthened a bit by CS-CAR, it is shorten by CS-SA and CS-SA-CAR. In addition, we discuss the advantage and applicability of decentralized cooperation modeling.
