As the insulating medium, sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6 ) is widely applied in gas insulation equipment. Over longterm operation, the solid insulation of the equipment is damaged by PD, causing it to react with SF 6 to generate COS and CF 4 which are critical SF 6 decomposition products inside the equipment. The detection of these two SF 6 decomposition products can help in assessment of the type and severity of insulation defects. Compared to the absorption spectroscopy and photoacoustic spectroscopy, FERS can using a single wavelength laser to simultaneously achieve the high sensitivity detection of mixture gases. In this paper, a highly sensitive SF 6 decomposition based on fiber-enhanced Raman spectroscopy is built up. The Raman spectroscopy of COS and CF 4 was acquired. The characteristic peak of COS at 859 cm -1 and that of CF 4 at 909 cm -1 were observed respectively. We study the relationship between laser power, pressure of fiber core and Raman scattering intensity, experimentally. The Raman scattering intensity is linear related to laser power and pressure. The response time of FERS which includes the filling time and evacuating time. was also examined. The filling time of the fiber is defined as the point when the intensity of the Raman peak does not change. FERS is promising to achieve the online monitoring technique to detect the SF 6 decomposition components with highly selective and sensitive.

Oil-impregnated cellulose insulation is an important part of power transformers, and it will gradually deteriorate during the operation of the transformer. Therefore, accurate assessment of the aging conditions of oil-immersed cellulose insulation is very important to maintain the safe and stable operation of the transformer. In this paper, the experiments and molecular simulation methods were used to deeply analyze the synergistic effects of moisture and aging on the frequency dielectric spectroscopy (FDS) of oil-impregnated cellulose insulation materials. The results show that the higher the moisture content and the lower the degrees of polymerization (DP), the greater the frequency dielectric parameter. Molecular simulations show that the hydrogen bond, mean square displacement and polarizability of cellulose increase with the increase of moisture content and the decrease of DP. This article helps to understand the synergistic enhancement effect of moisture and aging on the frequency and dielectric properties of oil-impregnated cellulose insulation from a microscopic mechanism.

As an important and widely used electrical equipment, GIS (gas insulated switchgear) greatly affects the stability and safety of the entire power grid. By detecting the concentration of SF 6 decomposed component gases in GIS, we can judge the faults existing in the GIS, and prevent the corrosive decomposed gases from damaging the insulation. However, existing SF 6 decomposition component detection methods can are difficult to achieve relatively accurate simultaneous detection of multi-component gases. In this paper, a method using cavity enhanced Raman spectroscopy was developed to simultaneously detect SO 2 and CF 4 under high concentration SF 6 . Based on frequency-locking cavity enhancement technology, we coupled laser light with a wavelength of 642 nm and a power of about 50 mW into a V-shaped resonant cavity, and realized three orders of power enhancement. Due to the special V-shaped structure of the resonant cavity, the direct reflected light from the cavity mirror will not feedback to the laser, thereby avoiding false locking. Under 1 atmosphere pressure, Raman spectroscopy of CF 4 and SO 2 with a concentration of 1% was obtained. The characteristic Raman spectral lines of CF 4 and SO 2 were determined as 909 cm -1 and 1151 cm -1 , respectively. responding to their v1 transition. And the Raman spectrum of CF 4 and SO 2 under the pressure of gradient distribution was obtained, it was found that the Raman characteristic peak intensity of CF 4 and SO 2 was highly linear between pressure relationship. Besides, the mixed gas of CF 4 and SO 2 under high concentration SF 6 was detected simultaneously without any interference. This study laid the foundation for Raman spectroscopy for the detection and quantitative analysis of SF 6 decomposed gas components, indicating that Raman spectroscopy has great potential in the field of SF 6 decomposed gas component detection.

At present, GIS equipment (gas insulated switchgear) is more and more popular in power system, and the detection of GIS faults is mainly aimed at discharging faults. But more and more phenomena show that mechanical faults can not be ignored. In this paper, by analyzing a case of GIS field detection based on ultrasonic and ultrahigh frequency (UHF) detection methods, some vibration fault characteristics were analyzed. The research shows that the slight mechanical vibration signal will not cause partial discharge, so the mechanical vibration fault can not be detected by UHF detection method. But at the same time, obvious signals will be observed through ultrasonic testing, and the noise of GIS vibration is strengthened. It shows that the importance of vibration fault detection and explores a new way for GIS mechanical fault detection. © 2019 IEEE.

Recently, a new eco-friendly gas insulating medium HFO-1336mzz(E) (trans-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, chemical formula: C 4 H 2 F 6 ) has entered the field of vision of researchers. HFO-1336mzz(E) has good environmental protection characteristics, high insulation strength, and is considered to be one of the powerful potential gases to replace SF 6 in medium and low voltage equipment. This paper compares the insulation performance of HFO-1336mzz(E) gas mixture with CO 2 and N 2 as buffer gas, and finds that the effect of CO 2 is better. Secondly, the quasi-uniform electric field was simulated by spherical electrode, and the breakdown voltage of HFO-1336mzz(E)/CO 2 gas mixture under different gas pressure and mixing ratio was investigated. The results show that the breakdown voltage of the gas mixture with volume fraction 10%∼30% HFO-1336mzz(E)/CO 2 increases linearly with the increase of gas pressure and mixing ratio. The breakdown voltages of 20%HFO-1336mzz(E) /CO 2 mixture at 0.25MPa and 0.3MPa can reach 80% and 95.2% of that of pure SF 6 at 0.1MPa respectively. Relevant research results show that HFO-1336mzz(E)/CO 2 gas mixture has good insulation performance, which provides a reference for its engineering application.

Lightning induced overvoltage is the main object of lighting protection for overhead distribution lines, and the protective effect of coupling ground wire against lightning induced overvoltage is a common focus inactual projects. Firstly, a lightning induced overvoltage calculation model of distribution line with ground wire is established. Then, by numerical simulation, we analyzed the inhibitory effect of coupling ground wire to lighting induced overvoltage, including the influences of tower type and ground wire position.

In order to ensure the safe and stable operation of the substation, it is necessary to test and evaluate the substation grounding grid. In the actual measurement process, since the overhead ground wire is difficult to disconnect from the ground network, in order to obtain accurate measurement results, it is necessary to consider the influence of the shunt phenomenon on the grounding resistance measurement of the grounding network. In recent years, the resistance measurement method with short lead wire has gained wide attention due to the advantages brought by its shorter measurement leads. Based on the backward measurement method with short lead wire, this paper considers the influence of the shunt coefficient on its measurement results, proposes a correction formula through theoretical derivation, and proposes an improved method of it, which is verified by simulation. The improved method proposed in this paper improves its accuracy while preserving advantages of the original method, and it has certain significance for the measurement of large-scale grounding grids.

Gas insulating medium SF 6 , which is widely used in high voltage electrical equipment, has serious greenhouse effect. HFO1234ze(E) has very low greenhouse effect, low liquefaction temperature (-19°C) and excellent insulation performance, so it has great application potential as a new eco-friendly insulation gas. In this paper, the partial overheating decomposition characteristics of HFO1234ze(E) gas under different temperatures (150-400°C) were explored through experiments. It was found that HFO1234ze(E) did not decompose at 150°C to 200°C, and the isomer HFO1234ZE (Z) was produced at 250°C. With the increase of temperature from 250°C to 300°C, the yield of HFO1234ze(Z) did not increase much. When the temperature was higher than 350°C, the decomposition of HFO1234ze(E) intensified, and when the temperature reached 400°C, the gas would decompose violently, and other decomposition products would be produced. Meanwhile, the decomposition mechanism of HFO1234ze(E) under partial overheating fault was investigated using density functional theory (DFT). The research conclusions in this article provide theoretical guidance for the application of HFO1234ze(E).

This paper studies the atmospheric corrosion characteristics of grid metal frame equipment in Chongqing. Through the standard field test method of atmospheric corrosion -"exposure" method, this study carried out the substation site hanging test of the Q235 steel of the power transmission and transformation engineering structural material in the atmospheric environment, and mastered the corrosion data of Q235 steel in different corrosion stages. It was found that the morphology, quantity and characteristics of corrosion products on the metal surface varied greatly with the progress of corrosion. According to the metal corrosion morphology of different corrosion time, combined with image processing technology and wavelet transform algorithm, the parameters such as gray mean M, corrosion standard deviation σm, corrosion energy E, and energy percentage of wavelet image coefficient were selected as corrosion characteristic variable. At the same time, the BP neural network algorithm was used to qualitatively evaluate the corrosion state of the electrical equipment metal. By testing the on-site samples of the two substations, the corrosion state values of the samples were 0.946 and 0.8071, respectively, which is consistent with the actual corrosion degree, and the system had a good evaluation result. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland

The 10kV distribution networks are mostly mixed lines of overhead lines and cables. When the neutral point of the system is grounded by arc suppression coil, the power supply reliability of the system is high, but the fault point is difficult to locate. Additionally, with the increasing use of cables, it is difficult for the arc suppression coil to effectively compensate the capacitive current of the system. If the system is grounded with small resistance, the fault point can be accurately located, but the reliability of power supply will be reduced, so it is difficult to choose the neutral grounding mode. In response to this situation, combining these two grounding modes, a hybrid grounding mode is proposed, which can guarantee the power supply reliability of the system and quickly cut off cable line faults. For the high proportion of cables in distribution networks, Petersen coil is installed at the neutral but the cables are isolated to create a regional system with small resistance grounding mode. A numerical simulation model of hybrid grounding Theoretical analysis and simulations of a 10 kV distribution network with hybrid grounding mode are carried out to validate the proposed method.
