According to fundamental of operating mechanisms analysis of slow closing operation is used to evaluate closing reliability for MCCB. Based on characteristics of operating mechanisms, key parameters of driving moment for closing operating are extracted. And optimization of key parameters can improve closing reliability of operating mechanisms. © 2019 by International Academic Publishers Ltd.

Based on the ±800 kV 4-terminal LCC-HVDC model of parallel ring network topology, the structural parameters and action timing of the DC circuit breaker are given. The electromagnetic transient of the DC circuit breaker during the breaking process is analyzed for the single pole ground fault condition. The characteristics and the current distribution of the DC circuit breaker after the fault line is cut off, the voltage of the energy-absorbing arrester and the absorbed energy, and the influence of the fault line cutting on the system operation are studied. The effects of current-limiting inductor, breaking time of DC circuit breaker and the delay of phase-shift on the electromagnetic transient characteristics of DC circuit breaker breaking process are pointed out.

Various voltage measurement methods based on E-field (Electric field) integration has been extensively studied in recent years, but there are few comparative studies on the reliability of various integration algorithms. Therefore, this paper compares multiple types of E-field integration algorithms, and proposes an uncertainty analysis model to estimate the effectiveness of each method. Firstly, the calculation process based on Gauss integral, G-L (Gauss-Legendre) integral, G-C (Gauss-Chebyshev) integral were respectively introduced respectively, and the distribution characteristics of the integral nodes of each algorithm were analyzed. Subsequently, a 10kV AC three-phase transmission line model was built into the Maxwell simulation platform, and the transient E-field distribution parameters under the transmission overhead line were calculated, as well as the voltage measurement results of each numerical integration algorithm. Finally, the uncertainty mathematical analysis models on the E-field integration method was established, and the measurement performance of the G-L and G-C integration algorithms was compared. According to this, the principles and application conditions for the selection of the numerical integration algorithm are given, to provide a reliable reference for the promotion and application of the voltage measurement method based on the E-field integral.

Effect of tantalum doping on blistering behavior and retention in tungsten exposed to deuterium plasma

Pure tungsten and tungsten tantalum (5 wt% ta) were prepared by powder metallurgy method, and then 40 eV deuterium plasma was injected into a linear plasma device with 1.08 × 1026 D/m2 energy. The irradiation properties of pure W and W-5%Ta were compared by a set of supplementary analysis techniques. The results show that adding proper amount of tantalum can effectively reduce the foaming caused by deuterium. In addition, TDS results show that the main desorption peak of pure tungsten is about 650 K, and the shoulder is at 730 K. For W-5%Ta alloy, the main desorption peak is about 810 K, and the deuterium retention in pure W is 4 times of that in W-5%Ta alloy. In addition, we also measured the hardness of pure W and W-5%Ta, which are 4.3 Gpa and 7.3 Gpa, respectively. The above phenomenon is due to the change of the microstructure and composition of the material.

This paper analyzes the structure of transmission line towers and live working conditions, and draws conclusions on the importance and necessity of studying the methods and devices of high-altitude fall prevention for transmission lines. Combining the actual situation of the pole and tower, in view of the poor manufacturing technology of the pole and tower anti-falling track, the size of the anti-dropping device and the track are not matched, and the connection point is misplaced, a new type of adjustable anti-dropping device is developed to address the cross-arm movement of personnel during live work. The alternate use of backup protection ropes and seat belts is cumbersome. An alternative safety rope was developed. Aiming at the transmission line towers without anti-falling tracks, a drone-based high-altitude fall prevention method was developed, and an anti-fall manipulator for high-altitude operations.

This paper present the industrial case study on quality improvement of the post reflow cleaning process in an assembly industry. Ceramic carrier boards are widely used in industrial fields due to their good thermal conductivity, strength and insulation. In order to reduce the terminal volume, flexible plates are also widely used. For the high quality industry application, a number of manufacturing related issues needed to be addressed. Of all Potential defects, the PCBA pollution is most critical defect which will affect the long term reliability. The ceramic board and FPC was assembly with Sn96.5Ag3Cu0.5 solder paste an orthogonal experimental design was conducted to understand the relationship among the washing temperature, washing solution and the cleanness level. From the experiment we got the optimal post-reflow process conditions for achieving highest quality cleaning status, which meet the requirements of IPC standard.

In order to study the expansion planning problem of distribution network with the active distribution network control technology, considering the flexible grid structure of active distribution network, a bi-level model of active distribution network expansion planning is established. Firstly, the main process framework of active distribution network expansion planning is considered, and the mathematical model of active distribution network bi-level expansion planning is constructed. In the model, the planning layer aims at the lowest annual comprehensive cost of distribution network, and the operational layer is targeted at the maximum amount of distributed power consumption. The effect of dynamic reconfiguration of the distribution network structure on the operation of the distribution network is transformed into the operation layer model, and the impact of the operational layer on the planning phase is simulated and quantified. Then, in the process of model solving, the algorithm of “avoid circle” based on graph theory improves the grid coding of distribution network and improves the probability of generating feasible solutions. The model is solved by using the genetic algorithm and decimal integer the particle swarm algorithm. Finally, taking an actual distribution network in a city as a case, the rationality and validity of the model are verified.

The distribution of power frequency electric field caused by super-high level power transmission engineering is an important issue in evaluation of electromagnetic environment problem. The calculation of this field around power transmission facilities in complex environment using Charge Simulation Method (CSM) is sometimes out of action for the reason of not enough RAM. This paper put forward a domain decomposition CSM. This method divided the calculation region into several subdomains with some overlapped parts at the border first. Then CSM is applied to these subdomains respectively to get the distribution of simulation charges. The impact of the adjacent domain (boundary problem) is solved by using iterative method. Finally, the distribution of electric field in different domains can be calculated respectively with simulation charges obtained inside its own domain. This method is verified and it is applied to the analysis of power frequency electric field around 500kV transformers in 500kV substation. The results indicate that this method can speed up the calculation and decrease the requirement of RAM. This method provides an effective way to analyze the distribution of power frequency electric field with complex environment.
