The low-voltage distribution system of thermal power plants has a large auxiliary power load and is vulnerable to electromagnetic influence, so its lightning protection is relatively complex. This paper takes Xishui Substation as the research object, and uses CDEGS software to build its buildings and grounding grid model, and calculates the shunt of lightning current in branch conductors, indoor magnetic field distribution and grounding grid potential distribution of thermal power plants when lightning strikes buildings. The results show that the shunt coefficient of the thermal power plant buildings basically meets the specification requirements. The lightning that strikes buildings will not cause harm to indoor equipment near the middle. Lightning flowing through buildings and leaking into the ground will threaten its low-voltage distribution system with ground potential counterattack. This provides data basis for electromagnetic safety assessment of low-voltage distribution system in thermal power plants, and is of great significance for improving reliable operation of low-voltage distribution system in thermal power plants.

A voltage sensor based on inverse piezoelectric effect and fiber gratings is presented in this paper. Besides basic sensor validation test of working frequency signals, two sensors with similar parameters were tested and analyzed with working frequency signals and operation voltage signals. Test results indicate that the sensor can work well in working frequency but can only respond to part of the operation voltage signal properly. This is a potential passive sensor consist of the piezoelectric element and fiber element, more work should be conducted to enlarge its working frequency range. © 2018 IEEE.

Micro-energy network realizes the complementary of distributed energy production according to the characteristics of users' energy demand and local resource conditions. In order to realize the efficient operation of micro-energy network group, this paper proposed an optimal power transfer model based on Mutual Energy Supporting Pattern in micro-energy network group. The concept of micro-energy network is given and the basic structure of micro-energy network group based on the interconnection of external energy hubs is first established. Then, the micro-energy network model of internal energy hub and optimal power transfer model is established. The optimal power transfer model of micro-energy network group is subdivided into two kinds of operation modes, the internal cooperation mode and the synergy cooperation mode. The internal cooperation mode is to address the problem of energy shortage at the micro-energy network, while the synergy cooperation mode is to solve the problem through the coordination of multiple energy hubs in the micro-energy network group. Finally, the model is validated by a system including electricity, gas, heat/cooling load and external energy hub.

In recent years, Chinese UHVDC transmission has made rapid progress. Ensuring safe and reliable operation of UHV converter transformer is of great significance. The performance of insulation oil is directly related to the safe operation level of transformers. The insulation oil is more easily contaminated by particles in the high voltage and large capacity transformer. This paper mainly investigated the influence of cellulose particles, metal particles and the admixture of cellulose particles and metal particles on the breakdown property of the insulation oil under DC electrical field, as well as movement characteristics of particles. Results show that there were bridges with different shapes in contaminated mineral oil. The admixture of cellulose particles and metal particles formed the most closely bridge compared to individual substance. The conductive current decreased in turn for mineral oil contaminated by the admixture of cellulose particles and metal particles, metal particles, cellulose particles. The stable bridges played a destructive role in insulation property of insulation oil. DC Breakdown voltages under short-time boost breakdown experiments were larger than that under long-time boost breakdown experiments. The DC Breakdown voltages of contaminated oil reduced with the increasing of the particles concentration. © 2018 IEEE.

When solving the electromagnetic compatibility problem of low-voltage distribution system in thermal power plants, it is found that the current protection specifications for secondary cables in some conventional substations and common civil buildings are not suitable for thermal power plants, and there is a lack of reference standards for lightning protection data of secondary cables in thermal power plants. Therefore, this paper takes Xishui Substation as the research object, uses CDEGS software to build a three-phase low-voltage distribution system combined with the structural characteristics of large-scale ground screen, overhead cable bridge, building group and others of thermal power plants, and completes the modeling of its buildings, grounding grid, transformer and secondary overhead cable bridge. According to the layout of two buildings in the low-voltage distribution system, the overvoltage of the secondary power cable generated when the buildings are struck by lightning is calculated. The results show that the lightning strike will cause great electromagnetic influence on the secondary equipment. This provides data support for the layout design and protection of secondary cables in thermal power plants, and is of great significance for improving the insulation coordination capability of secondary systems.

UHF technology is an important method in Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Partial Discharge (PD) detection, which is applied on large scale both at home and abroad. UHF sensor is the key part of UHF PD detection system, whose quality directly decides the performance of the detection system. This paper will employ micro-strip theory to make a targeted design of UHF sensors according to the traits of GIS PD. The author will start from the design of rectangular patch micro-strip sensor, and make a modeling analysis of its operating characteristics, then introduce fractal theory on that basis to design a fractal microstrip sensor suitable for GIS PD detection and conduct simulated analysis on the proposed model. The last step is to develop the material object of the sensor, then put it to detection test on the simulation test platform to verify its detectability and performance. The experimental results show that the fractal micro-strip sensor has wide detection signal band and high sensitivity. It can detect the PD signal precisely, providing a new design idea for GIS PD detection sensors. © 2018 IEEE.

In order to solve the problem of power supply for control drivers of HVDC transmission equipment, a novel energy supply system for HVDC equipment is proposed based on capacitor DC isolation characteristic and inductance-capacitance series resonance principle, which realizes efficient transmission from ground-potential side power supply to high-potential side power supply. In this paper, the working principle of the proposed energy supply system is analyzed, and a parameter design for the topology is carried out. The simulation results of the specific examples are verified by the PSIM simulation software, which verifies the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed energy supply system.

In the power industry, there are a lot of image and video data need to be analyzed to find out equipment abnormalities such as bolt looseness and out of stock. Using artificial intelligence technology for image analysis can reduce the artificial dependence, but the general object detection algorithms, such as SSD, can not get a good detection effect for small targets. In this paper, we proposed an improved SSD object recognition algorithm to improve the recognition accuracy of small targets, based on the characteristics of power image recognition requirements. The method can improve the ability of SSD framework to understand small objects and enhance the location information and semantic information of the small targets. The method introduce the deconvolution structure to act on the shallow feature layer Conv4_3 and then use pooling layer to get the fixed size. Finally the method made Conv14 upsampled to the same size, and make full use of the information of small targets. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve the good recognition accuracy.

To reduce the consumption of manpower and material resources on off-line test, it is necessary to research on how to extend the cycle of off-line tests to reduce the frequency of off-line tests. In this paper, the equivalence between off-line test and on-line detection technology is analyzed from the point view of data accuracy, which provides the quantized basis for evaluating the feasibility of replacing off-line test with on-line detection technology. As the cycle of off-line test is different from the cycle of on-line detection technology, neither quantity nor time series anastomoses. So after the original data of on-line detection technology are fitted by the Cubic Spline Interpolation, the estimated data should be taken value from the fitting curves according to the dates of off-line test. Then, the estimated data of on-line detection technology and the original data of off-line test can be compared. The Euclidean Distance and the Cosine Similarity of two datasets are computed to characterize the absolute error and relative error. Therefore, the specific and reasonable weights of absolute error and relative error are determined rationally according to regulations on the state evaluation of electrical equipment. And then the data accuracy compared on-line detection technology to off-line test, which is equivalence, is calculated. Finally, the improvement scheme of off-line test cycle is proposed according to the standard based on the value of equivalence index. The model in this paper is validated by the state variables data of a power transformer. © 2018 IEEE.

A design of a power products onboard for industrial processor power supply is introduced. The power supply topology adopts full bridge circuit topology and double current synchronous rectifier. It selects the power devices and analyzes the main influence on the power loss of power efficiency, and then completes the design of the power supply products. The final results show that the electrical performance parameters consistent with the expected effect of customers, and has been applied in industrial processor power supply equipment successfully.
