In order to minimize the effect of the unconsidered frequency components on the generated compression pulse, the phasing-blanking effect is taken into account of designing the one^dimensionai aperiodic domain reversal structure. Hierarchic genetic algorithm for the design of a domain reversal grating to modulate the spectrum and phase of the generated SH pulse simultaneously are presented. Our simulation shows that the quality of an output pulse is fairly improved.

We report a passively mode-locked high repetition rate erbium-doped femtosecond fiber laser via nonlinear polarization rotation, with a fundamental repetition rate of 101.94 MHz. The output power is 34 mW when pumped by a single mode fiber coupled laser diode at 370 mW. The spectral width is 25 nm, corresponding to a transform limited pulse width of 105 fs.

This paper mainly discusses the pursuit-evasion games, in which a team of autonomous mobile robots act as pursuers to pursue multiple moving targets cooperatively. In order to reduce the communication load during the task negotiation process, the auction mechanism in Economics was introduced,and an improved task negotiation process based on Multi-Unit Combinatorial Auction was proposed. It allocated task dynamically through capability classification and independent competition. A kind of multi-robot cooperative pursuit algorithm that allows dynamic alliance is proposed. Simulation results show the feasibility and validity ofthe given algorithm.

In today's distributed computing systems, a large amount files contain huge data need to be transferred to their destination as soon as possible or else the quality of these systems will be seriously affected, and these transfer requests arrived dynamically. We propose some effective heuristic algorithm to this problem with the purposes of minimizing the maximal file transmitting time, and we can get some primal results from the algorithm. However, as we known, the problem of routing and scheduling for the dynamic arriving files in the optical network has a large number of constrains and the exact solution is computationally expensive, so it is hard to get the optimal result about this problem and we can not know whether the heuristic results is good or how closed it closed to its optimal result. In order to get some more detail results, we apply the approach called Lagrangian relaxation combined with subgradient-based method and utility the heuristic result to compute the lower bound of the optimal solution, and we consider the optimal target of minimizing the maximal file transmitting complete time for it's an important aspect with the file transmitting problem. We mainly use Lagrangian relaxation (LR) to research the dynamical lager file transmitting problem. Firstly, in order to apply the LR method we formulation our dynamic file routing scheduling and distributing problem in WDM optical network into mathematic model with some corresponding constraints. Secondly, change the formulation with some added variables to let it more suitable for LR and then introduce the Lagrangian multipliers into the model to obtain the Lagrangian function. With this function we can divided it into some small independent problems that could let it be solved more easily and at last we utilize the result received from the heuristic algorithm to solve the Lagrangian multiplier problem with subgradient-based method in order to getting the sharpest possible lower bound. Exploiting the encoding process of the stabilizer quantum code [[n, k, d]], a deterministic quantum communication scheme, in which n - 1 photons are distributed forward and backward in two-way channel, is proposed to transmit the secret messages with unconditional security. Load-balanced switches have received much attention because they are more scalable than other switch architectures. However, a load-balanced switch has the problem of packet mis-sequencing. In this paper, we propose a dynamic mailbox sharing (DMS) scheme to eliminate the mis-sequencing problem of load-balanced switches only at the cost of a very small increase of delay. The key idea is to keep packets of the same flow in order in the load-balanced switch. The DMS scheme is based on two statistical facts in operational networks: the number of simultaneous active flows in the router buffer is far less than that of in-progress flows, and most of the intra-flow packet intervals are longer than the packet delay in the high speed router. In DMS, the packet sequence of the same flow arrived in the input ports is recorded in the mailbox maintained in the output ports. Then, packets of the same flow are delivered according to the order of their arrivals. The mailbox becomes the bottleneck in order to accommodate a large number of flows. We thus propose a dynamic sharing scheme to alleviate the bottleneck and greatly enhance the scalability of the mailbox. By simulations using the real internet traffic traces, we show that with a simple flow splitter mechanism restraining mis-sequencing, the average packet delay using DMS is considerably lower than that of other schemes including uniform frame spreading, padded frame and the CR switch, and it is close to the ideal case without re-sequencing even when the load is very high. The results also demonstrate that the size of mailbox is in the hundreds.
