The thermal shock resistance and anti- aluminum erosion of TiB2 - BN multiphase ceramics composites were studied. The experimental results show that the TiB2-BN multiphase ceramic possesses a good thermal shock resistance at high temperatures ( 1000, 1200, 1400, 1500 ℃ ), with the increasing in thermal shocking temperature, the electro-conductivity of TiB2-BN ceramics increases. The metal aluminum has a great influence on the properties of TiB2 - BN ceramics and the main reason is that the aluminum reacts seriously with BN. It is suggested that the content of BN should be reduced to the greatest extent.

Ordered iron fiber arrays were electrodeposited on the surface of zinc foils using "FeSO4 solution-sodium caprylate-Decanol" 3-component reverse hexagonal liquid crystal as soft templates. The structure of the soft templates and the synthesized iron ,fibers were characterized by polarizing microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis etc. The experimental results shou that the synthesized iron fibers with a crystal phase grew up in the form of fiber clusters of about 200 nm along the direction perpendicular to the cathode surface. Each cluster was composed of several tens of fibers. The fibers had almost the same length of more than 10μm with a diameter of about 50 nm.

A systematic research was performed about diffusion kinetics of adsorbing F^- dissolved in water for carbonate hydroxyapatite (CHAP) from the natural hydroxyapatite which was modified by adulterating with CO3^2-. The result shows that the speed of F^- adsorption is controlled by membrane diffusion when F^- concentration is relatively low, which is expressed by the kinetic equation of diffusion Q=0.0005(Ci-C)(t-ti)+0.3967, or by vacancy diffusion when F^- concentration is relatively high, which is expressed by the kinetic equation of diffusion In[C(o, t)]=8.4718-0.5048Int. Based on the feature of CHAP for adsorbing F^- dissolved in water and its special channel of the structure of CO3^3- modified hydroxyapatite, models of vacancy diffusion and membrane diffusion were established.

The isothermal oxidation behavior at 900–1300°C for 20 h in air of bulk Ti3AlC2 with 2.8 wt% TiC sintered by means of hot pressing was investigated in the work. The isothermal oxidation behavior generally followed a parabolic rate law. The parabolic rate constants increased from 1.39×10[10] kg[2]·m[4]·s[1] at 900°C to 5.56×10[9] kg[2]·m[4]·s[1] at 1300°C. The calculated activation energy was 136.45 kJ/mol. It was demonstrated that Ti3AlC2 had excellent oxidation resistance due to the continuous, dense; adhesive protect scales consisted of a mass of α-Al2O3; a little of TiO2;/or Al2TiO5. In principle, the oxide scale was grown by the inward diffusion of O[2]; the outward diffusion of Ti[4+]; Al[3+]. The rapid outward diffusion of cations usually resulted in the formation of cracks, gaps,; holes.

By using of high temperature XRD data, the high temperature structure behavior of corundum (α-Al2O3) with different crystal morphologies was studied by comparative crystal chemistry. It was revealed that cell parameter (a, c) and Al-O bond length (LAl-O) of grain corundum were logarithmically increased because of thermal expansion, but that of the whisker corundum was linearly increased. The crystal lattice coefficient of thermal expansion (M) of the grain corundum was logarithmically increased almost in uniformity tendency, which was isotropy. On the contrary, that of the whisker corundum was linearly increased in whole tendency, the value M of cell parameter (a) is greater than cell parameter (c), which was anisotropy.

The effect of particle morphology of α-Al2O3 on sintering property of its compact is investigated in this paper. The morphology of α-Al2O3 particles and its compact were studied by SEM and TEM, and line-shrinkage rate, density and water absorption rate were measured respectively. The results showed that the expansion of compact at elevated temperature brought harm to densification and formation of homogenous structure of the compact and the sintering property of compact was influenced by the morphology of α-Al2O3 particles in different degrees.

The performance of proton exchange membrane is mainly influenced by water content and distribution in proton exchange membrane for PEM fuel cell, and influence factors of the water content and the distribution in membrane mainly include the pressure, the temperature, the electric current and so on. This text has discussed the influence of pressure to water content and distribution in proton exchange membrane, and we made the ingenious experimental design to measure directly the distribution of water content in membrane. We have got the disciplines of water content and distribution in membrane under pressure. Experiment reveals that the influence of pressure to water content in membrane is small and water distribution among membrane is average, these conclusions do not accord with model completely.

The hydrophilic-hydrophobic adjustable catalyst layers, with contact angle of 78°-130°, were prepared successfully by using of microemulsion method. The as-result samples were characterized by the I-V curve of its single cell, EIS, CV, SEM, TEM. It is found that an appropriate dosage of PTFE in the catalyst layers can optimize the micro-structure of the catalyst layer, and improve the stability of the cell. the best composition of the catalyst layer was Pt/C : Nafion : PTFE = 9 : 3 : 1.

BaCO3 whiskers exhibiting different morphologies were fabricated by a simple precipitation reaction of barium chloride with sodium carbonate in the absence and presence of poly-(styrene-alt-maleic acid) (PSMA) as a crystal growth modifier at room temperature. The as-prepared products were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),transmission electron microscopy (TEM),and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The influences of experimental parameters on the size and morphology of BaCO3 whiskers were investigated and discussed. It was found that the as-prepared BaCO3 whiskers are single crystals with diameter ranging from 100 to 300?nm,and grow along the crystallographic a-axis or [100] direction. BaCO3 whiskers with different morphologies,such as branching and dendritic structure,can be obtained depending on the experimental conditions. With increasing PSMA concentration,the diameter of BaCO3 whiskers decreases.
