In the current work hydroxyapatite Ca10(PO4)6 ·OH2(HA) was sintered with the addition of 3 wt% aluminum isopropoxide(C9H21AlO3) powder and 3 wt % Teflon powder(-C2 F2-). Sample was prepared by following sol-gel technique. Obtained pellets of samples were sintered. For investigation of effects of temperature on microstructures and mechanical properties the samples were sintered at various temperatures. For studying the phase composition, microstructures and elemental analysis the sintered samples were characterized by X-rays diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and energy dispersive X-rays diffraction(EDAX) respectively. After sintering the samples mechanical properties, i e, grains size, apparent density, Vickers hardness, bending strength and compressive strength were found to be 2.14-18.76 μm, 1.523 6-0.752 g/cm3, 3.60-0.600 GPa and bending strength 33.265 8-14.900 MPa, 75-33 MPa, respectively. As a result of sintering fluoridated composite material was obtained.

The specific binding of receptor to ligand covalently attached to surface with different surface densities was studied using streptavidin-biotin model pair. Biotinylated substrates with different spacer thicknesses as formed through a simple reaction between amine immobilized surfaces and N-hydroxysucciimide groups at the end of biotin modifi ed PEG in anhydrous organic solutions("grafting to" technique). The amount of the specifi cally adsorbed protein was measured as a function of spacer thickness between hard surface and biotin moieties. It has been shown that the amount of specifically adsorbed streptavidin decreases with the increase spacer thickness and the protein adsorbs onto the functionalized surfaces in a single molecular manner. It provides an interesting model system for studying single molecular interactions.

The homogeneous glass samples of the (1-x)As 2S 3 xCdCl 2 where x=0 and 0.05 were prepared by the conventional melt quenched *** addition of 5mol% CdCl 2 enhanced the glass transition temperature of pure As 2S 3 glass sample by about 30℃.Based on the experimental data,the microstructure is considered to be that the discrete molecule species of AsCl 3 and nanocrystal CdS is homogeneously dispersed in the disordered polymer network formed by AsS 3 pyramids interconnected by sulfur bridges.

The energy transfer (ET) between f-f transition is achieved by rare earth ions (RE 3+ ) doped grain boundaries of transparent ceramics, which enhances the fluorescence thermometry performance and enables multiple fluorescence thermometry modes of transparent ceramics. In this work, MgAlON:Dy 3+ transparent ceramics were prepared and segregation of Dy 3+ in grain boundaries was realized. With excellent absolute and relative sensitivities (2.447 μs/K and 2.09%/K), the fluorescence lifetime (FL) signals of MgAlON:Dy 3+ exceeds most of RE 3+ doped phosphors. The ET between closely segregated Dy 3+ in grain boundaries modifies the distribution of electron on 4 I 15/2 level, and induces temperature-dependent FL to the phosphors. This work reveals the influence of grain boundary segregation on ET between Dy 3+ for improving the fluorescence thermometry performance of phosphors.

Nano hafnium carbide(HfC) powders were synthesized by sol-gel combining hightemperature rapid heat treatment process using citric acid and hafnium tetrachloride as the raw materials. The effects of ball milling treatment on the phase and morphology of pyrolysis products(HfO_2-C) and final HfC product were investigated and the influences of heat treatment temperature and holding time on the structure and properties of the synthesized hafnium carbide powders were also studied. The experimental results showed that the HfO_2-C powders with good uniformity and small particle size were prepared by controlling the milling time. Pure HfC powders with an average particle size of 500 nm were obtained at 1 700 ℃ with a holding time of 3 min, and the oxygen content was about 0.69 wt%, lower than that of the hafnium carbide powders prepared by SPS(0.97%).
