Integrated Motion Control of Interaction Safety, Stability and Path-tracking for Front-and-Rear-Independent-Drive Electric Vehicle

Under two vehicle interaction scenarios, the uncertain motion states of traffic participants pose significant challenges to the safety of autonomous vehicles (AVs), and AVs are susceptible to instability with emergency avoidance constraint. To address this issue, an integrated motion control of interaction safety, stability and path-tracking is proposed for front-and-rear-independent-drive electric vehicle (FRIDEV). First, a control oriented longitudinal-lateral coupled dynamic model is established. Then, a variable step model predictive control is designed to solve multi-objective optimization problems, which mainly include two parts: (i) adaptive adjustment of stability weight by an improved phase plane method, and (ii) adding an interactive safety constraint to motion control by backward reachability analysis. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed controller can effectively utilize the longitudinal and lateral tire forces and achieve an balance between stability and tracking accuracy, and reduce collision risk in the interactive scenario with milder control actions. Moreover, the hardware-in-the-loop test demonstrates that the proposed controller is effective in the real-time environment. © 2015 IEEE.

Effects of Rectangular Wing Vortex Generators on the Thermal-Hydraulic Performance of Louvered Fin and Flat Tube Heat Exchanger

In this paper,a novel composite heat transfer enhancement technique comprised of louvered fins(LFs)and rectangular wing vortex generators(RWVGs)is proposed to improve the LF side thermal-hydraulic performance of louvered fin and flat tube heat exchangers(LFHEs).After validation of the LF side pressure dropΔP and heat transfer coefficient hLFof the baseline by experiments,the numerical method is applied to investigate the influential mechanisms of the RWVG parameters(the number N(7 to 15),attack angleβ(30°to 90°),height H_(VG)(0.8 mm to 2 mm)and width W_(VG)(0.8 mm to 1.2 mm))on the performance of the LFHE in the velocity range of 3 m/s to 10 m/*** show that thermal-hydraulic performance of the LFHE is significantly impacted by the RWVGs,and according to the performance evaluation criteria(PEC),the LFHE achieves its optimal thermal-hydraulic performance when N=7,β=45°,H_(VG)=1.8 mm and W_(VG)=1 *** to the baseline,the maximum,minimum and average increments of PEC for the optimal case are 13.85%,4.67%and 8.39%,respectively.

Strain effects have garnered significant attention in catalytic applications due to their ability to modulate the electronic structure and surface adsorption properties of *** this study,we propose a novel approach called“similar stacking”for stress modulation,achieved through the loading of Co_(2)P on Ni_(2)P(Ni_(2)P/Co_(2)P).Theoretical simulations reveal that the compressive strain induced by Co_(2)P influences orbital overlap and electron transfer with hydrogen ***,the number of stacked layers can be adjusted by varying the precursor soaking time,which further modulates the strain range and hydrogen *** a 2-h soaking condition,the strain effect proves favorable for efficient hydrogen *** characterizations using X-ray diffraction,high-angel annular dark-field scanning transmission election microscope(HAADF-STEM),and X-ray absorption near-edge structure spectroscopy successfully demonstrate lattice contraction of Co_(2)P and bond length shortening of ***,our catalyst shows an ultrahigh current density of 1 A cm^(-2) at an overpotential of only 388 mV,surpassing that of commercial Pt/C,while maintaining long-term *** material design strategy of similar stacking opens up new avenues of strain modulation and the deeper development of electrocatalysts.

Designing high-performance electrocatalysts toward hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is essential to reduce the activation barrier and optimize free adsorption energy of reactive ***,we report that incorporating high-valence Cr into NiSe_(2)(Cr_(x)Ni_(1-x)Se_(2))kinetically and thermodynamically expedites elementary steps of both HER and *** as-prepared Cr_(0.05)Ni_(0.95)Se_(2) catalyst displays excellent HER and OER activities,with low overpotentials of 89 and 272 mV at the current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)(j10),respectively,and remains stable during operation for 30 h.A low cell voltage of only 1.59 V is required to drive j10 in alkaline *** situ Raman spectroscopy reveals that Cr incorporation facilitates the formation of NiOOH active species during the OER ***,theoretical explorations demonstrate that high-valence Cr incorporation efficiently accelerates water dissociation kinetics and improves H*adsorption during HER process,lowering the activation barrier of OER and optimizing the adsorption energy of oxygen-based intermediate,thus kinetically and thermodynamically enhancing the intrinsic performance of NiSe_(2) for over water *** strategy provides a new horizon to design transition metal based electrocatalysts in the clean energy field.

Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is composed of several coupled components with complex nonlinear characteristics. Coordinating the work of each component and effectively controlling the air supply system are key measures to improve the efficiency of the system. In order to control the air supply system of PEMFC, this paper explores the influence of different input parameters on the energy consumption efficiency of the system, quantifies the relationship between the variables, and studies the change law of power consumption efficiency and peroxide ratio of the system. After that, separate feed-forward, feed-forward + feedback and LQR control algorithms are used to control the optimal peroxide ratio respectively, and the algorithms are verified by Matlab/Simulink simulation. The results show that the LQR algorithm has the best dynamic response speed, which is shortened by 17.0% and 47.1% compared with the feed-forward + feedback control and separate feed-forward control systems. At the same time, the maximum control error of LQR algorithm is the smallest, which is 52.6% and 84.6% lower than that of feed-forward + feedback control and separate feed-forward control. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Achieving high ductility and low in-plane anisotropy in magnesium alloy through a novel texture design strategy

Texture regulation is a prominent method to modify the mechanical properties and anisotropy of magnesium *** this work,the Mg-1Al-0.3Ca-0.5Mn-0.2Gd(wt.%)alloy sheet with TD-tilted and circular texture was fabricated by unidirectional rolling(UR)and multidirectional rolling(MR)method,*** generating a strong in-plane mechanical anisotropy in conventional TD-tilted texture,the novel circular texture sample possessed a weak in-plane yield *** can be rationalized by the similar proportion of soft grains with favorable orientation for basalslip and{10.12}tensile twinning during the uniaxial tension of circular-texture sample along different ***,compared with the TD-tilted texture,the circular texture improved the elongation to failure both along the rolling direction(RD)and transverse direction(TD).By quasi-in-situ EBSD-assisted slip trace analysis,higher activation of basal slip was observed in the circular-texture sample during RD tension,contributing to its excellent *** loading along the TD,the TD-tilted texture promoted the activation of{10.12}tensile twins significantly,thus providing nucleation sites for cracks and deteriorating the *** research may shed new insights into the development of formable and ductile Mg alloy sheets by texture modification.

Application of Omega vortex identification method in cavity buffeting noise

The cavity buffeting noise is related to the free shear layer oscillation and the periodic vortex shedding,where weak vortices coexist with strong vortices and the strong shear phenomenon also exists at the opening of the ***,it is of great significance to accurately capture vortices at the opening for the control of the cavity buffeting *** paper first compares the Omega vortex identification method with the Q andλ2criteria based on the large eddy simulation(LES)of the backward-facing step flow,and it is found that the Omega method enjoys the following advantages:it is not sensitive to a moderate threshold change andΩ=0.52 can be used as a fixed threshold,it can capture both the strong and weak vortices at the same time;and it will not be contaminated by the *** the Omega(Ω)method is applied to the LES of the cavity buffeting noise:the mechanism of the cavity buffeting noise is studied based on a simple cavity model firstly,and then the effects of the incoming boundary layer thicknesses and the incoming boundary layer shapes on the cavity buffeting noise are *** results show that:theΩmethod clearly captures the processes of the vortex generation,development,collision and fragmentation,verifying that the generation of the cavity buffeting noise is related to the free shear layer oscillation and the periodic vortex shedding;as the thickness of the incoming boundary layer increases,the free shear layer becomes more stable and the Helmholtz resonance is avoided effectively,thereby the cavity buffeting noise is reduced effectively,adding a convexity upstream of the cavity opening to interfere the shape of the incoming boundary layer to reduce the acoustic feedback effect can reduce the cavity buffeting noise effectively.

At present,research on hydraulic mounts has mainly focused on the prediction of the dynamic stiffness and loss *** to the traditional finite element analysis method,the programming method can be used to analyze hydraulic mounts for a rapid and accurate understanding of the influence of the different mounting parameters on the dynamic stiffness and loss *** aims of this study were to investigate the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of a hydraulic mount,and to identify the parameters that affect the dynamic stiffness and loss angle using MATLAB software programs to obtain the influence curves of the parameters,so as to use suitable parameters as the basis for vibration analysis.A nonlinear mechanical model of a hydraulic mount was established according to the basic principles of fluid *** dynamic stiffness and loss angle of the dimensionless expression were proposed.A numerical calculation method for the dynamic performance evaluation index of the hydraulic mount was derived.A one-to-one correspondence was established between the structural parameters and peak frequency of the evaluation *** accuracy and applicability of the mechanical model were verified by the test *** results demonstrated the accuracy of the nonlinear mechanical model of the hydraulic mount,and the vehicle driving comfort was greatly improved by the optimization of the structural parameters.
