In this paper, the engine optimal matching is done to improve the efficiency of supercharging lean burn LPG engines by optimizing the compression ratio and the distribution phase of camshaft. The gas consumption and emissions of LPG engine are reduced. A whole engine model is set up on one-dimensional simulation software. The optimal compression ratio is determined by comparing the simulation computed results and bench experimental results under different compression ratios. The exhaust advance angle and valve overlap angle are optimized on the basis of successive optimization method and demonstrated in experiments.

In this paper, a new type vehicle with four wheel independent steering (4WIS) and four wheel independent driving (4WID) travelling mechanism is designed. Under careful analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of both the mechanical and electrical features, the design of platform is discussed. Besides, a corresponding control structure is addressed. Under the Co-simulation using ADAMS and MATLAB/Simulink, algorithms to generate longitudinal and lateral force are tested, with a coordinated torque control of the steering and driving motors. The results show the proposed mechanical design and control system could make a good combination that traditional vehicles are hard to reach.

Advanced coordinated control strategy about automatic clutch, ISG and engine. The vehicle side slip angle is an important matter of vehicle stability control, and it is usually obtained by estimation method today. A hybrid observer is proposed to estimate the vehicle side slip angle in this paper. The hybrid observer includes three parts: a state-space observer, a kinematics integration module and a weight distribution module. The weighting distribution module includes a vehicle stability detection module and a fuzzy controller. We use the phase plane method to detect the stable status of the vehicle. Then, we use the fuzzy controller to calculate the weight of the state-space observer based on the status of the vehicle stability. Through the weight of the state-space observer, the hybrid observer integrates the state-space observer method and kinematics integration method together and makes full use of the advantage of the two methods. And in order to reduce the integration error of the kinematics integration module, we use the Kalman filter to handle the signals that the sensor measured. So, the hybrid observer can work well in the whole area of the tire. The simulation results show that the hybrid observer can achieve the precise estimation results whether the vehicle is in linear area or in the nonlinear area.

In this paper, a decentralized adaptive fuzzy nonlinear observer is proposed for fault detection of reconfigurable manipulators. Estimation error is obtained from measured and observed velocity is used as the residual vector, the system is fault-free operation when residual vector is smaller than the selected threshold value. A fault is declared if the residual vector is greater than or equal to threshold, the threshold can be set based on the various trials conducted in absence of faults. The fuzzy logic systems are proposed for approximating unknown terms dynamic model of subsystem and interconnection term by using adaptive algorithm. With simulation, the effectiveness of the design technique is illustrated.

Loss of excitation (LOE) is a common fault found in the generators. The most widely applied method for detecting a generator loss of excitation is the use of impedance relays to sense the variation of impedance as viewed from the generator terminals [1]. However, compared with China's approachs, in the setting of impedance circle, the IEEE's allow the circle to extend along the negative X axis, meanwhile, in the latest edition of the "IEEE Guide for AC Generator Protection", the circle is further extended, reaching to -1.25Xd.We think this is adverse, to prove our point, the paper ,basing on the IEEE 9 bus model and using computer digital simulation, have studied various loss-of-excitation conditions and some system disturbances that may lead to the relay false tripping. simulation results indicate that the IEEE's method not only can't accelerate the operation effectively, but also will increase the chances of maloperation.
