This paper addresses the problem of complex and challenging disturbance localization in the current power system operation environment by proposing a disturbance localization method for power systems based on group sparse representation and entropy weight *** different electrical quantities are selected as observations in the compressed sensing *** entropy weighting method is employed to calculate the weights of different observations based on their relative disturbance ***,by leveraging the topological information of the power system and pre-designing an overcomplete dictionary of disturbances based on the corresponding system parameter variations caused by disturbances,an improved Joint Generalized Orthogonal Matching Pursuit(J-GOMP)algorithm is utilized for *** reconstructed sparse vectors are divided into three *** at least two parts have consistent node identifiers,the node is identified as the disturbance *** the node identifiers in all three parts are inconsistent,further analysis is conducted considering the weights to determine the disturbance *** results based on the IEEE 39-bus system model demonstrate that the proposed method,utilizing electrical quantity information from only 8 measurement points,effectively locates disturbance positions and is applicable to various disturbance types with strong noise resistance.

In order to enhance the real-time performance of model predictive control (MPC) based energy management strategy (EMS), this paper proposes a real-time automotive energy management strategy based on backpropagation neural network (BPNN) approximation of MPC controller. Firstly, establish a pure electric vehicle (PEV) simulation model, then design a BP neural network, and the joint simulation model is established to predict the speed, the energy management is finally realized by combining the energy consumption evaluation model. Compared with the EMS based on MPC controller, the energy-saving control effect is marginally diminished, and the real-time performance of vehicle speed track prediction is greatly improved. The proposed EMS can optimize the driver’s speed trajectory and control vehicle movement in real-time, resulting in better comprehensive energy-saving control effects compared to traditional MPC.

Shape Memory Alloy Valve for Automotive Intelligent Seat System: Design, Theory and Experiments

Shape memory alloy (SMA) actuators have broad application prospects. This work proposes a new type of car seat valve driven by SMA wire. The flexible hinge is used to reduce the friction of the whole structure and the winding SMA wire is used to increase the driving displacement. The mechanical model of the SMA valve is derived based on the simplified constitutive model of the SMA. The driving characteristics of the SMA valve under different currents and loads are experimentally studied. The results show that when the current is 0.7A, the maximum opening angle of the valve is 18.4°, and the response speed is 16.39°/s. When the load is 200g, the maximum opening angle of the valve is 19.55°. However, the response speed of the valve is only 1.46°/s due to the immense force overcome during the driving process of the SMA wire. Based on the experimental results, the accuracy of the theoretical model is verified. Finally, the fixed-point target displacement and step target displacement PID control experiments of the SMA valve are carried out. The results show that the SMA valve has good control feasibility, and can be used in the future intelligent seat system of the automobile. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Investigation into Design Strategy of Variable Thicknesscfrp/Aluminum Hybrid Multi-Cell Tubeunder Multi-Angle Compression Loading

In order to fully utilize the energy absorption potential of hybrid structure composed of multiple materials, a variable thickness Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic/ aluminum (CFRP/AL) hybrid multi-cell tube is proposed, with a focus on the design strategies of variable thickness filament winding and aluminum alloy multi-cell layout. First, based on the validated finite element (FE) model, a comparative study of different tube configurations is implemented to clarify the advantages and disadvantages of multi-cell hybrid tube. By analyzing the energy absorption contribution of two component materials and local structures, the bending instability mechanism of multi-cell hybrid tube at large angles is revealed to emphasize the necessity of variable thickness filament winding. It is found that multi-cell AL tube is the key factor to induce structural instability, and CFRP with positive gradient thickness distribution is beneficial to restrain the bending instability of hybrid multi-cell tube. Second, in order to better describe the influence mechanism of the design parameters, two comprehensive crashworthiness performance indicators for multi-angle compression conditions are proposed, namely comprehensive specific energy absorption and energy absorption stability. Then, a detailed parametric study is performed to explore the influence mechanism of the variable thickness winding parameters and multi-cell cross-section parameters on the comprehensive energy absorption capacity of the hybrid tube under multi-angle compression conditions. Finally, an application recommendation for the variable thickness CFRP/aluminum hybrid multi-cell tube is given to provide a reasonable design strategy. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of crashworthiness between the suggested AL/CFRP hybrid tube and reported typical energy-absorbing structures is carried out to reveal the superiority of the variable thickness CFRP/aluminum hybrid multi-cell tube in the energy absorption stability. Human-Like Lane-Changing Spatiotemporal Target Decision Strategy Based on Driving Behavior Generation Mechanism

Human-like lane changing (LC) is important for the human-like driving of intelligent vehicles (IVs). In this study, we conducted semantic segmentation and deconstruction of an LC behavior generation mechanism and defined LC spatiotemporal targets, which are explicit LC behavioral features that can indirectly express the implicit generation mechanism. Then we constructed a human-like LC spatiotemporal target decision strategy (HLSTDS) based on driving behavior generation mechanism. HLSTDS unifies human-like LC decision-making and LC behavioral feature modeling for the same framework, realizes a feature-driven human-like LC spatiotemporal target decision, and provides a guarantee for human-like LC of IVs. Specifically, we designed a strategy framework for HLSTDS that matches the generation mechanism of LC behavior and designed reward functions that match the cognitive and behavioral characteristics of human drivers. Under the guidance of LC spatiotemporal targets, the discrete expected trajectory space is opened, and the resizing and pruning of the expected trajectory space are carried out based on statistics and safety constraints. Thus, the sampling efficiency and safety of HLSTDS are improved, while the dimension disaster is avoided. In HLSTDS, different reward functions and expected trajectory spaces are set for anticipation and relaxation, which are two different LC stages. the authenticity of the interaction between the HLSTDS and the environment is ensured by a traffic vehicle trajectory prediction. The weights of the human-like reward functions are recovered for HLSTDS from the HighD dataset by maximum entropy inverse reinforcement learning. Finally, the results of a verification test prove that the HLSTDS can accurately determine the LC spatiotemporal targets for different vehicle states and traffic situations. Additionally, the results of a comparative verification with other methods and a generalization verification on the NGSIM dataset reveal the advantage

With the increasing demand of consumers for car safety and comfort, intelligent driving technology has received extensive attention and research. A robust and reliable vehicle detection and tracking system is one of the key modules for intelligent vehicles to perceive the surrounding environment. At present, the mass-produced intelligent driving system mainly uses millimeter-wave radar and monocular camera to detect and track vehicles. Despite their advantages, the drawbacks of these two sensors make them insufficient when used separately. Therefore, in order to improve the target detection ability of the system, the research on multi-sensor information fusion is particularly important. This paper presents an information fusion approach based on a millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera. Firstly, the millimeter-wave radar and monocular camera are used for target detection separately. Then the target data is extracted and recognized. Finally, the same target data detected by the two sensors are fused at the decision level. The proposed algorithm is tested on typical urban roads and urban expressways. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the stability and reliability of target recognition and reduce the probability of missing target detection. © 2021 ACM.

Electric vehicle wireless charging, as an alternative to the conventional wired charging, is a hot research topic in recent years. Without a charging cable, electric vehicles can be continuously charged while driving, namely dynamic wireless charging. A common type of the dynamic wireless charging transmitter is a series of individual transmitting coils arranging along the charging route, which is called the segmented dynamic wireless charging. In this structure, the distance between adjacent transmitting coils is important in the system design due to its impact on the system cost and performance. In this paper, simulation analysis is carried out to evaluate the impact of the distance between adjacent transmitting coils. Using the parameters of an existing dynamic wireless charging system as a baseline, the influence of different distances between adjacent transmitting coils on the total mutual inductance and transferred power pulsation is demonstrated. These results are expected to provide the equivalent cost to evaluate the optimal distance between the adjacent transmitting coils, and some suggestions on the coefficients of the equation are also proposed. © 2021 IEEE.

Multi-Objective Optimization of Phase Change Cooling Battery Module Based on Pso-Svm

An optimization model based on PSO-SVM and improved NSGA-II algorithm is established in this paper to balance the heat dissipation performance and lightweight of battery. First, the data set is obtained by orthogonal experiments, and then the PSO-SVM model for predicting the battery heat dissipation performance (maximum temperature and maximum temperature difference) is acquired by optimizing the parameters of the support vector machine through particle swarm optimization. With the goal of improving the battery heat dissipation performance and reducing the system quality, the improved NSGA-II algorithm is used for multi-objective optimization to obtain the Pareto solution set. Finally, LINMAP and TOPSIS are utilized to select the optimal solution from the Pareto solution set for reference of designers. Results show that the goodness of fit R2 of the maximum temperature and maximum temperature difference prediction models are 0.99478 and 0.9787, respectively, which verifies the accuracy of the PSO-SVM model. The maximum temperature, the maximum temperature difference, and the quality of the phase change material are in conflict. The temperature rise and temperature difference of the battery can be effectively controlled by sacrificing the quality of the phase change material. Four optimal solutions were selected by using LINMAP and TOPSIS. Compared with the initial model, the quality of phase change materials was reduced by 34.5%, 29.5%, 55.3%, and 2.5%. On the premise of meeting the requirements of thermal management performance, the entire system becomes portable. Based on the four selected optimal solutions, the decision maker can choose from the Pareto optimal solution set according to different requirements for heat dissipation performance and lightweight. © 2023, The Authors. Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) has gained tremendous development throughout the previous *** visual SLAM(vSLAM), which utilizes cameras as the main sensors, has experienced a recent surge of *** improving the robustness of vSLAM remains challenging in indoor environments that are GPS-denied or have noprevious maps. The point-based method, which functioned as a long-standing dominant methodology, tends to haveunsatisfactory robustness due to limited environmental information and low-level geometric representation. Taking intoconsideration the underlying drawbacks of the point-based method, numerous studies have been done to seek high-levelgeometric representations and structural properties. Aimed at exploring different methods and their relationships aswell as development processes of improving robustness, this article gives a detailed overview of point-line combinationvSLAM and structural regularities and assumptions in indoor scenarios. Specifically, detailed comparisons about differentparametrizations of lines are made. In addition, the application of higher-level features and object-based information inthe vSLAM system are also introduced. Active pedestrian safety protection could avoid collision between vehicles and pedestrians essentially, thus it has become the most promising technique in the field of Advanced Driving Assistant System (ADAS). However, due to the clutter of urban road scenarios, the speed rate of pedestrian detection in the traditional pedestrian detection algorithm is too slow to satisfy the real-time requirements of the vehicle system. Against this background, we proposed a novel feature descriptor which is called Hierarchical LBP for pedestrian detection. In the proposed feature descriptor, we extend the comparison operation of gray value between the central pixel and circular(C-LBP) or rectangle (R-LBP) neighborhood pixels from simple single neighborhood to hierarchical neighborhood (inner-layer and outer-layer neighborhood) in the traditional Local Binary Patterns (LBP) feature extraction process. Besides that, we allocate these central pixels into 32 bins averagely based on their binary values (0~255) instead of assigning them into 59 bins, which would significantly reduce the computation time in the feature extraction process. Finally, we choose a non-linear SVM (LIBSVM) with a radial basis function kernel (RBF) as a classifier for pedestrian detection experiments. The experimental results verify that the proposed feature descriptor can greatly improve the detection speed without sacrificing the detection performance. © 2021 IEEE.
