Enhancing the electrical performance of silicone rubber (SiR) for cable accessories is noteworthy as they are almost the weakest parts of the cable system. Two types of voltage stabilizers were grafted onto the surface of nano-zirconia (ZrO2) particles, and the grafted nanoparticles were added to the SiR. Measurements such as breakdown strength, and conductivity were carried out to evaluate the electrical performance of SiR nanocomposites. The electrical performance measurement results indicated that the breakdown strength of the nanocomposite SiR improved while the conductance current was reduced. The trap distribution showed that the improvement of the electrical performance of the nanocomposite SiR is mainly due to the decrease of the shallow trap density or the increase of the deep trap density. © 2023 IEEE.

Static DC and PR are typical operation conditions of HVDC converter transformer bushing outlet device, moreover, the electrical parameters of RIP, transformer oil and OIP have the nonlinear relationship with E-field stress and temperature. Under the temperature gradient, the electrical parameters will modify the static DC and PR E-field distribution of the composite insulation. In order to simulate static DC and PR electric field of the composite insulation structure, this paper established the full model of the converter transformer outlet. Then, the structure parameters of converter transformer outlet have been optimized using combined RBF neural network and NSGA-II algorithm. Moreover, electric field verification calculation has been carried out under AC and PR conditions. The results show that under uniform temperature condition, E-field strength is larger than that under iso-thermal condition. The overshoot coefficient of the bushing end and barrier reach 65% and 45%, respectively. The study can provide reference for the design of outlet structure of the converter transformer. © 2023 IEEE.

Lateral displacements caused by vehicle collisions makes the vehicle travel unstable, which causes most of the accidents and even leads to even more collisions. In this paper, we will discuss the possibility of a control strategy that maintains the stability of the vehicle's travel after an impact and restricts the vehicle's in-lane travel, aiming to reduce the risk of subsequent accidents. Based on PID control, the post-collision control system controls the lateral deviation of the vehicle's travel path to the desired path by using an active steering system to ensure the trajectory and stability of the vehicle. In this paper, the PID control system parameters are combined with BP neural network to make timely, optimized adjustments to make the vehicle trajectory under the BP neural network PID controller converge faster and oscillate with less amplitude. Moreover, the BP neural network PID control system can automatically adjust the PID control parameters according to different collision situations. The effectiveness and adaptability of the BP neural network PID control system after collision is demonstrated through the simulation of post-collision steering control of the controlled vehicle.

With the escalating demand for power inspection and equipment maintenance, developing effective algorithms for power system fault detection is crucial for ensuring the safety and stability of power systems. This paper leveragesthe Trellis network, enhanced with an attention module, to significantly improve the Trellis network's capability in recognizing power fault images, thus better addressing fault identification tasks within power systems. Through testing on a self-constructed dataset and comparative experiments with models such as DCNN, RCNN, and DenseNet, the proposed attention mechanismenhanced Trellis network algorithm has demonstrated its effectiveness and superiority in fault detection. © 2024 IEEE.

Nano-sized alumina supported palladium catalysts for methane combustion with excellent thermal stability

Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)catalysts supported on Al_(2)O_(3)of different particle sizes were synthesized and applied in methane *** catalysts were systematically characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET),X-ray diffraction (XRD),high resolution-transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM),high-angle annular dark?eld-scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM),H_(2)-temperature-programmed reduction (H_(2)-TPR),O_(2)-temperature-programmed oxidation (O_(2)-TPO),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),and X-ray absorption?ne structure (XAFS).The characterization results indicated that nanosized Al_(2)O_(3)enabled the uniform dispersion of palladium nanoparticles,thus contributing to the excellent catalytic performance of these nano-sized Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)*** them,Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)-nano-10 (Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)supported by alumina with an average particle size of 10 nm)showed superior catalytic activity and stability for methane oxidation under harsh practical *** maintained excellent catalytic performance for methane oxidation for50 hr and remained stable even after harsh hydrothermal aging in 10 vol.%steam at 800℃ for 16 *** results revealed that the strong metal-support interactions and physical barriers provided by Al_(2)O_(3)-nano-10 suppressed the coalescence ripening of palladium species,and thus contributed to the superior sintering resistance of the Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)-nano-10 catalyst.

In the practical application of electromagnetic transient real-time simulation computing platform, due to the large amount of calculation and long calculation time of electromagnetic transient simulation calculation, in order to improve the calculation speed and accuracy, it is usually necessary to use multiple CPU cores for parallel calculation at the same time, and ensure that each task synchronization and coordination among the computing cores. So, it is of great significance to select an appropriate task synchronization method for the realization of the electromagnetic transient real-time simulation computing platform. The paper puts forward a kind of based on TSC (Time Stamp Counter) Time Stamp Counter polling Time slot task synchronization method, this method supports high precision Time synchronization and coordination between different tasks, and can adapt to the transmission and efficient processing of large amounts of data. The test results prove that this method can avoid the overhead and delay of a large number of interrupts and thread switching, improve the efficiency, stability and predictability of task execution, and meet the performance requirements of the task synchronization method based on the centralized tightly coupled electromagnetic transient real-time simulation prototype. © 2024 SPIE.

A fine-scale atlas reveals the systematic imbalance between carbon emissions and economic benefits along value chain within China

In efforts to achieve the aspiring carbon mitigation goals, China is actively seeking to reconcile the economic development and carbon reduction with diverse regional conditions. Here, we firstly integrated a national-wide atlas on the labor division of production, and decomposed value added and carbon emission along China's domestic value chain during 2007–2017. We found that the value chain roles lead to a systematic imbalance between value added and carbon emissions across regions. Over 70 % of sufferers of the inequality were located at the north, most of which were in the upstream position to supply resource and energy intermediate products of higher on-site emissions and relatively less value added in comparison to the downstream manufacturing and service products production at the coastal regions. As a result, the northern inland suffered a great deal while part of coastal regions and southern inland were beneficiaries in the participation in domestic value chain. In particular, several regions inevitably undertake industries with higher emission intensity and less gains in a sound domestic industrial chain. These strongly call for a systematically policy- or price-based mechanism to explore fair strategy for emission reduction. © 2024 Elsevier B.V.

Due to the fact that the Hydraulic Hybrid Vehicle (HHV) which has a double-function, energy management and stability control, is a great advantage in the HHV, it is necessary to research the coordinated control between regenerative braking and stability. The research of the coordinated control between regenerative braking and stability of HHV is at the forefront of the study in this aspect. Based on the above factors, in this study, we propose an algorithm of regenerative braking and stability coordinated control. Firstly, we put forward the assembly institutions of the Parallel Hydraulic Hybrid Vehicle (PHHV), then we adopt the logic threshold algorithm to realize the distribution control and use the incremental joint PI control with variable parameters to realize the vehicle electronic stability control system (ESC) control. Simulink/Simscape in the MATLAB software is utilized for the offline simulation of the control algorithm of PHHV. The result of the simulation shows the effectiveness of the regenerative braking force distribution and ESC algorithm. © 2024 SPIE.

Global methyl halide emissions from biomass burning during 2003-2021

Methyl halides(CH3Cl,CH3Br,and CH3I)are ozone-depleting *** burning(BB)is an important source of methyl *** temporal variations and global spatial distribution of BB methyl halide emissions are ***,global methyl halide emissions from BB during 2003e2021 were estimated based on satellite data.A significant decreasing trend(p<0.01)in global methyl halide emissions from BB was found between 2003 and 2021,with CH3Cl emissions decreasing from 302 to 220 Gg yr^(-1),CH3Br emissions decreasing from 16.5 to 11.7 Gg yr^(-1),and CH3I emissions decreasing from 8.9 to 6.1 Gg yr^(-1).From a latitudinal perspective,the northern high-latitude region(60e90N)was the only latitude zone with significant increases in BB methyl halide emissions(p<0.01).Based on an analysis of the drivers of BB methyl halide emissions,emissions from cropland,grassland,and shrubland fires were more correlated with the burned area,while BB emissions from forest fires were more correlated with the emissions per unit burned *** non-BB emissions of CH3Cl increased from 4749 Gg yr^(-1)in 2003 to 4882 Gg yr^(-1)in 2020,while those of CH3Br decreased from 136 Gg yr^(-1)in 2003 to 118 Gg yr^(-1)in 2020(global total CH3I emissions are not available).The finding indicates that global CH3Cl and CH3Br emissions from sources besides BB increased and decreased during *** on our findings,not only searching for unknown sources is important,but also re-evaluating known sources is necessary for addressing methyl halide emissions.
