Oxygen and nitrogen elements are easily absorbed into the Ti-alloys during the preparation of Ti-alloy powder and the laser powder bed fusion process (L-PBF), which is beneficial to the strength but harmful to the ductility. In this study, trace TiC+TiB2 nanoparticles (0.1 wt%) were added during the casting of the Ti-6Al-4V (Ti64) ingot for atomized powders. The compressive properties of L-PBF Ti64 with high oxygen and nitrogen content are improved by adding trace nanoparticles (0.1 wt%) and appropriate heat treatment for the first time. The strength and ductility of Ti64 increase by 8.8% and 29.2% respectively with the addition of nanoparticles before heat treatment. A good combination between strength and plasticity is obtained by solution treatment at 1040 ºC and subsequently air-cooling (HT2). Compared to the L-PBF Ti64, the ductility of TiC+TiB/Ti64 increases by 100% without losing strength after HT2. A bi-modal structure of the HT2 samples, including hard primary α phase and ductile secondary fine α lamellas, is beneficial for its ductility and work-hardening. The addition of nanoparticles promotes the refinement and uniform distribution of the secondary α lamellas during cooling, which results in high strength and the distribution of α/α boundary being close to the theoretical random frequencies. Therefore, the TiC+TiB/Ti64 after HT2 exhibits excellent compressive strength and plasticity. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Wetlands are known for their ability to trap sediment and eliminate pollutants from the surrounding ***,less is known regarding the differential role of headwater,mid-catchment,and coastal wetlands in filtering these *** accretion,organic carbon(C),total nitrogen(N),and total phosphorus(P)were measured in wetlands from the headwaters to the mouth of the Altamaha River,Georgia,USA to assess how sediment deposition,C sequestration,and N and P burial vary along the *** cores(n=2 per site)were collected from riparian,upper and lower alluvial,tidal freshwater forest and marsh,brackish marsh,and salt ***-centimeter depth increments were analyzed for^(137)Cs,to determine soil accretion,bulk density,and C,N,and P *** exhibited a bimodel distribution with the highest rates in riparian wetlands of the headwaters(3.9 mm/year)and in tidal fresh and brackish marshes(4.7–5.4 mm/year)of the *** rates were considerably lower in alluvial and tidal fresh forests and salt marshes(0.9–2.5 mm/year).Carbon sequestration and N burial followed a similar trend with the greatest accumulation in soils of tidal fresh and brackish marshes(102–150 g C/m^(2)/year,7.1–9.5 g N/m^(2)/year)that had not only high accretion but also high organic matter content(11%–12%C).Riparian soils with their low C content,high bulk density,and high P content had much greater sediment deposition(3310 g/m^(2)/year)and P burial(2.75 g P/m^(2)/year)than other wetlands along the waterway(180–1730 g sediment/m^(2)/year,0.23–0.90 g P/m^(2)/year).Results suggest that,in the Altamaha River,sediment deposition and P removal are maximized in the headwaters thereby protecting downstream freshwaters from the effects of P *** fresh and brackish marshes with their high rates of N burial can aid in protecting estuaries from N enrichment,many of which suffer from the effects of N *** from this study are scalable to other r

Traditional optimal scheduling methods are limited to accurate physical models and parameter settings, which aredifficult to adapt to the uncertainty of source and load, and there are problems such as the inability to make dynamicdecisions continuously. This paper proposed a dynamic economic scheduling method for distribution networksbased on deep reinforcement learning. Firstly, the economic scheduling model of the new energy distributionnetwork is established considering the action characteristics of micro-gas turbines, and the dynamic schedulingmodel based on deep reinforcement learning is constructed for the new energy distribution network system with ahigh proportion of new energy, and the Markov decision process of the model is defined. Secondly, Second, for thechanging characteristics of source-load uncertainty, agents are trained interactively with the distributed networkin a data-driven manner. Then, through the proximal policy optimization algorithm, agents adaptively learn thescheduling strategy and realize the dynamic scheduling decision of the new energy distribution network ***, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method are verified by an improved IEEE 33-node simulationsystem.

To enhance the safety and comfort of driving at night, high-definition warning/interactive ICONS will be projected on the ground in conjunction with the ADAS Advanced Driver Assistance system to alert nearby pedestrians and drivers. To solve the problem of trapezoidal distortion caused by automobile headlights when projecting high-definition warning/interactive ICONS and pictures to the ground, firstly, the ground lighting area is connected with the luminous array according to the light field model established in the previous chapter, and then the corresponding luminous array corresponds to the coordinate value of the image pixel point to realize the coordinate reconstruction. Then, after the bilinear interpolation, the luminance value of the image pixel is assigned to the corresponding luminescent array coordinate, and the image is projected to the ground without distortion. Finally, the experimental system test platform was built to verify the method.

Effect of Mg and Si Contents and Tic Nanoparticles on the Center Segregation Susceptibility of Twin-Roll Cast Al-Mg-Si Alloys

Center segregation during the twin-roll casting (TRC) has always been a barrier to the fabrication of high-performance Al-Mg-Si strips. In this work, Al-Mg-Si alloys with different Mg and Si contents were fabricated by vertical-type twin-roll caster to investigate the effect of Mg and Si contents on central segregation susceptibility. Alloys that undergo a eutectic reaction to form Si would lead to the enrichment of eutectic Si in the central region due to the low reaction temperature of eutectic Si, resulting the severe central segregation. For alloys with the same eutectic reaction during the solidification, the alloy with higher [[EQUATION]] showed agglomeration of the eutectic phases due to its lower solidification rate. For the alloys with the same Mg/Si ratio, the width of central segregation increased with the increase in Mg and Si contents due to the increase in the proportion of near-equiaxed grains in the central region. The introduction of TiC nanoparticles could eliminate the central segregation band due to the control of solute diffusion by the fine near-equiaxed grain structure. © 2023, The Authors. Heterogeneous reduction of nitrogen dioxides (NO2) on soot has been suggested to be a source of nitrous oxide (HONO) in the atmosphere. However, conventional wisdom says that the contribution of NO2reduction on soot to HONO formation is limited due to the rapid deactivation of surface reductive sites in the atmosphere. On the contrary, we show that adsorbed anthropogenic and biogenic volatile organic compounds (VOCs), collectively called exogenous VOCs (EVOCs), can persistently promote the heterogeneous conversion of NO2to HONO on soot. The surface uptake of NO2driven by H2O, coupled with the hydrogen reduction of NO2supported by EVOCs on elemental carbon (EC), is proposed to be the key pathway causing the persistent production of HONO. Furthermore, field observation conducted during biomass burning seasons in the North China Plain also showed that the presence of EVOCs promotes HONO production significantly. Our results imply that the continuous adsorption and conversion of EVOCs on soot surfaces may have a remarkable enhancing impact on the persistent conversion of NO2to HONO in the atmosphere.

In order to improve the power output stability and frequency stability when large-scale new energy is integrated into the grid, large-scale new energy base must consider the configuration of energy storage systems with a certain capacity. Facing the demand under the background of new energy development, this paper analyzes the positive impact of energy storage to new energy base. The configuration method of energy storage capacity is proposed, and furthermore, the proposed method is used to calculate the capacity of the energy storage system required to be configured in a typical new energy base, and the power suppression and stability improvement effects brought by the energy storage are evaluated. The case analysis results show that the required energy storage capacity of a new energy base is about 10% of its total wind power and photovoltaic capacity. This configuration ratio can basically achieve the stability of the new energy output fluctuation, and at the same time provides the same frequency regulation capability with conventional generator set of equal capacity. © 2022 IEEE.

The large number of nonlinear loads used in urban metro rail traction grids distorts the voltage and current on the load side, then generates harmonics. The resulting capacitive characteristic harmonics current component provides feedback to the power grid, thus causing additional power losses and equipment damage. To solve this power quality problem, a detailed dynamic simulator of the metro traction power supply system is developed, which includes the corresponding 24-pulse rectifier and low-voltage power distribution system. Based on the established simulator, a study of the harmonic content and characteristics research of the 24-pulse rectifier and low-voltage electricity-consuming equipment are performed. In combination with the digital simulator, we presented and disused the lower-order frequency harmonic currents of the 35kV AC bus exhibiting capacitive characteristics. The results lay a technical foundation for harmonic equivalent impedance calculation and harmonic current suppression of the metro traction power supply system. © ACDC 2022. All rights reserved.

Direct Current Driven Persulfate Delivery and Activation for Heterogeneous Porous Media Remediation: Coupling Effects of Electric-Thermal-Chemical-Flow Fields

Direct current (DC) has promising potential for persulfate delivery and activation in heterogeneous site remediation, yet requires deeper understanding. Here, we investigated the efficiency of DC for persulfate delivery and activation and compared with alternating current (AC). While AC electric field only influenced persulfate fate by Joule heating effect, DC electric field induced electrokinetic migration of persulfate and contaminants, as well as promoted persulfate activation with Joule heating and electrochemical reactions. DC system achieved 95% MCB removal which was 3.1 times of that in AC system using the same voltage input (60 V) with a velocity of 0.5 m/d. When the applied DC voltage increased from 20 V to 60 V (0.5-1.5 V/cm), persulfate activation pathway changed from electrode reactions to the coupled activation pathways of electrode, chemical and heat reactions, thus resulting in increasing MCB removal efficiency from 57% (20 V) to 95% (40 V and 60 V). The energy consumption with 40 V (11.6 kWh/g) was 2.6 times of that using 20 V (4.4 kWh/g), and dramatically increased to 11.7 times with 60 V (50.2 kWh/g). This study provides a new perspective on improving the efficiency of persulfate delivery and activation in heterogeneous sites remediation using DC-driven system. © 2024, The Authors. With the increase of chassis lightweight designs, the possibility of chassis structure failure is increasing. The small probability misuse events such as driving through a deep pothole at high-speed, striking a curb on icy road occur frequently. Anti-misuse structure design has become the key path of design. Vehicle prototype misuse test involve the problem extremely cost-intensive and time-consuming modification and validation loops at the development process. In this paper, the vehicle virtual misuse test method was used to study the misuse load, and then based on the load, and the forward control method of chassis failure chain is studied. Through the simulation of chassis deformation, fracture and other behaviors, the failure chain of the chassis was controlled to prevent hidden damage and over-design, which greatly reduces the risk of the structural design and is beneficial to the lightweight of the structure. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
