Head-type of pedestrian protection needs high requirements for simulation accuracy. In order to improve simulation accuracy, the influence of four types of factors, including structural simulation, simulation settings, subsystem modeling, and material model application, on accuracy of HIC simulation were studied in the form of comparing simulation with tests. The results of the study show that: The geometric difference has a great influence on the simulation accuracy and the average influence level can reach about 20%. After the element size is adjusted from 10 to 5 mm, the accuracy can be increased by 3%. However, considering the accuracy and computing resource requirements, the recommended mesh size of the metal parts in the model is about 5–7 mm on average. The settings of the shell element and solid element, contact and time step size have little influence on the simulation accuracy, all within 5%. The type 16 element should be preferred. In addition, errors caused by the concentration of added mass should be avoided in the calculation. The simulation of heat shield, connection of adhesive, and the inner and outer panel edges of the hood have little influence on the simulation accuracy, at about 1%. Structures such as locks, hinges, bolts, air braces, and wipers are greatly affected by the connection method, and simple rigid connections cannot be used. Reasonable simulation methods should be adopted according to the actual structure. The material cards of headlights and front frame have a great effect on the simulation accuracy, the use of MAT187 material containing failure information is more accurate. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Reasonable arrangement of stiffeners is of great significance for improving the strength and stiffness of the transmission housing. Taking the transmission housing of passenger car as the research object, the strength and stiffness of the transmission housing were predicted by finite element method (FEM), and the rationality of stiffener arrangement was evaluated. Then the mechanical analysis of unreasonable stiffener was carried out, and specific optimization measures were put forward from the position, direction, quantity and size of stiffener, so as to improve the mechanical properties of the transmission housing. Finally, the finite element analysis and experimental verification of the optimization scheme were carried out. The results show that compared with the original scheme of the transmission housing, the strength of the optimization scheme is increased by more than 26%, the stiffness is equivalent, and the structure does not have the risk of cracking and resonance. The optimization scheme had passed the bench strength test, which verified that the proposed stiffener optimization measures are effective, and the stiffener optimization measures have certain engineering reference value. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Aiming at the high cost of traditional UPFC and the inability of phase shifting transformer (PST) to continuously regulate power flow, a hybrid HPFC topology consisting of PST and UPFC sharing the same primary excitation winding was proposed. HPFC has both advantages and can achieve accurate control of tidal flow in a large range. Based on introducing HPFC structure and principle of adjustment trend, put forward an effective HPFC control strategy, namely through the expected power control PST tap cutting and comprehensive compensation voltage prediction method combined with a closed-loop UPFC control the output voltage of the way the trend of the system adjustment, the method can effectively decrease the voltage overshoot, speed up the adjustment Finally, in MATLAB/SIMULINK, the model of double-loop power transmission system and double-end power supply system is built to verify its power flow regulation ability. The simulation results prove the feasibility of the proposed control strategy and the precision power flow regulation ability of HPFC, which indicates that HPFC has a good application prospect. © 2022 IEEE.

The spread of the power electronics, both for control and power applications, in the realization of apparatuses the DC transformation in building distribution and utilization system. Currently, the research and discussion of the operation scheme and control strategy for low voltage photovoltaic-energy storage DC building system, LVPESDCBS, are relatively less. Focusing on these, in-depth research and analysis for control and operation scheme are conducted, and the related application possibility for different types LVPESDCBSs is discussed in this paper. At the start, the existing operational control strategies for the DC system are summarized. Following this, the centralized operational control scheme, which applies to the existing buildings that need to be renovated to DC type, and the decentralized operational control scheme for newly built DC buildings are studied respectively. Taking these conclusions into consideration, a ±375V LVPESDCBS digital model with various types of AC/DC power electronic devices is established in PSCAD/EMTDC. The proposed control strategy and operational scheme are verified through normal operation and single-pole operation of this LVPESDCBS. Finally, extended marketability requirement discussions of future DC building based on three perspectives: data drives, converter devices, and the application of DC technology are presented. © ACDC 2022. As to low accuracy and modeling complexity of current welding joint fatigue analysis method, the welding joints of an independent SUV body are taken as the research object in this paper, and the road load spectrum is collected, and the loads of connection points between the chassis and body are obtained by load virtual iteration. The results show that the welding joint fatigue analysis based on force and stress can predict the locations of the welding joint cracks of the test vehicle accurately, the fatigue analysis cycle of the welding joints can be shortened. The improved test vehicle can pass the verification of durability test field successfully. © 2022 SPIE.

With the rapid increase in renewable energy installation nodes and the substantial enhancement of switching frequencies in the new power system, this paper proposes a design scheme for a cloud simulation software that employs the Latency Insertion Method (LIM) to decompose large-scale new power system models into several subsystems, enabling multi-platform integrated parallel computing. The self-developed platform meets the demands of ultra-large simulation scales, ultra-small simulation time steps, and massive simulation computations in power systems. Experimental results demonstrate that the accelerated simulation technology, which integrates model segmentation using LIM with multi-core parallel execution, can enhance the simulation speed by up to 858 times while maintaining simulation accuracy. This significantly improves simulation efficiency and is suitable for large-scale simulations of new power systems. © 2024 IEEE.

In order to solve the challenges of high-precision maps based on lidar 3D point clouds, which are expensive on-vehicle sensors and high computing power requirements, the academic community has proposed a cognitive map solution with low cost, small amount of data, and moderate positioning accuracy. The current cognitive map mainly relies on the geometric relationship between road signs and lane lines to complete vehicle positioning, and the local positioning accuracy needs to be further improved. This paper proposes a real-time vectorized map modeling solution, using a vectorized map instead of a discrete point map to support a vehicle positioning solution based on road geometry, thereby improving the local positioning accuracy of the vehicle. At the same time, in order to solve the problem of vehicle global positioning, this paper adopts a location recognition algorithm based on the perspective of the vehicle to complete the global location estimation of the vehicle on a large scale only by relying on the vision, so as to serve the navigation function. © 2022 ACM.

To reduce the uncertainty in analyzing ozone (O3) sensitivities based on observed concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen dioxide, this study proposed the application of consumed VOC concentrations to establish their nonlinear relationship in the actual atmosphere. These parameters were calculated based on the reaction rates and online observations of VOCs, nitrogen dioxide, and O3concentrations at Deyang, Chengdu, and Meishan in the Chengdu Plain, China, during summer 2019. The nighttime isoprene consumption was maximum at 2.03 ppbv at Meishan. The daytime acetaldehyde consumption was a maximum at 2.68 ppbv at Deyang, possibly due to its higher primary emissions and secondary production and its consumption by both OH radicals and photolysis. When the ratios of the total consumed VOC concentrations to the observed or initial NOx(NOx= NO + NO2) concentrations were 3.51 ppbv ppbv–1or 2.22 ppbv ppbv–1, daytime O3variations reached a maximum of 8.45 ppbv or 7.52 ppbv, respectively. The ratios delineated the VOC-sensitive and NOx-sensitive areas. Over 98% of hourly data were in VOC-sensitive areas at both Chengdu and Meishan, respectively, while over 14% of hourly data belonged to NOx-sensitive areas at Deyang. This provided a more accurate method for assessing real-time O3sensitivity and thus implementing dynamic hierarchical control strategies.
