Peak load and wind energy emission pressure rise more as wind energy penetration keeps growing,which affects the stabilization of the PS(power system).This paper suggests integrated optimal dispatching of thermal power generators and BESS(battery energy storage system)taking wind energy emission grading punishment and deep peak clipping into ***,in order to minimize wind abandonment,a hierarchical wind abandonment penalty strategy based on fuzzy control is designed and introduced,and the optimal grid-connected power of wind energy is determined as a result of minimizing the peak cutting cost of the ***,considering BESS and thermal power,the management approach of BESS-assisted virtual peak clipping of thermal power generators is aimed at reducing the degree of deep peak clipping of thermal power generators and optimizing the output of thermal power generators and the charging and discharging power of ***,Give an example of how this strategy has been effective in reducing abandonment rates by 0.66% and 7.46% individually for different wind penetration programs,and the daily average can reduce the peak clipping power output of thermal power generators by 42.97 and 72.31 MWh and enhances the effect and economy of system peak clipping.

Influence of leachate microenvironment on the occurrence of phthalate esters in landfills

Phthalate esters (PAEs) are added to various products as plasticizers. Plastic waste containing PAEs enters landfills as they age with use. However, the influence of microenvironmental changes on the occurrence of PAEs during landfill stabilization is still unknown. In this study, we evaluated the relationship between the physical and chemical properties of leachate, the structure of bacterial communities and the chemical structure of dissolved organic matter (DOM), and the occurrence of PAEs and the mechanism underlying their responses to changes. Landfill leachate in different stabilization states had high Cl− and NH4+ contents and its metal element (Cr, Pb, and Zn) contents generally decreased with the increase in landfill ages. Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, and Firmicutes were important phyla and had an average relative abundance of 68.63%. The lignin/carboxylate-rich alicyclic molecule structure was the main component of DOM (56%–64%). Of the 6-priority controlled PAEs in leachate, di-n-butyl phthalate was the most abundant (1046 μg L−1), while butyl phthalate was not detected. The results showed that pH, the relative abundance of Chloroflexi, and the value of SUVA254 can directly influence the occurrence of PAEs in leachate. The positive and negative effects vary depending on the PAE content and molecular weight. DBP and DEHP have higher environmental risks in the aquatic system. These results are intended to provide a scientific basis for the evolutionary characterization of the microenvironment in complex environmental systems and the control of novel contaminants, such as PAEs. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

In the long-term operation of a megawatt-scale energy storage plant composed of series-parallel connections, the single batteries will have different degrees of inconsistency problems. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a comprehensive assessment method based on the consistency of batteries in scaled energy storage power stations. According to the consistency indexes such as single battery voltage and voltage polarity difference in series connection between modules, the consistency evaluation criterion of battery monomer was established. Based on the historical data of a battery energy storage system, the consistency evaluation criterion of a single battery is used to analyze the consistency of a single battery of an energy storage power station at different charging and discharging stages. The results show that this method can accurately assess cell consistency. It provides data support for the health status assessment of energy storage plants and reduces the systematic operational risk of energy storage plants.

Feasibility of Local Trajectory Planning for Level-2+ Semi-autonomous Driving without Absolute Localization

Autonomous driving has long grappled with the need for precise absolute localization, making full autonomy elusive and raising the capital entry barriers for startups. This study delves into the feasibility of local trajectory planning for level-2+ (L2+) semi-autonomous vehicles without the dependence on accurate absolute localization. Instead, we emphasize the estimation of the pose change between consecutive planning frames from motion sensors and integration of relative locations of traffic objects to the local planning problem under the ego car’s local coordinate system, therefore eliminating the need for an absolute localization. Without the availability of absolute localization for correction, the measurement errors of speed and yaw rate greatly affect the estimation accuracy of the relative pose change between frames. We proved that the feasibility/stability of the continuous planning problem under such motion sensor errors can be guaranteed at certain defined conditions. This was achieved by formulating it as a Lyapunov-stability analysis problem. Moreover, a simulation pipeline was developed to further validate the proposed local planning method. simulations were conducted at two traffic scenes with different error settings for speed and yaw rate measurements. The results substantiate the proposed framework’s functionality even under relatively inferior sensor errors. We also experiment the stability limits of the planned results under abnormally larger motion sensor errors. The results provide a good match to the previous theoretical analysis. Our findings suggested that precise absolute localization may not be the sole path to achieving reliable trajectory planning, eliminating the necessity for high-accuracy dual-antenna GPS as well as the high-fidelity maps for SLAM localization. © 2023, CC BY.

Acidification recovery in anaerobic digestion of food waste is challenging. This study explored its in-situ recovery using a co-substrate of food waste and waste activated sludge. Fe3O4 and bentonite were used as conductor and carrier, respectively, to enhance AD performance under severe acidification. The application of Fe3O4-bentonite resulted in a 152% increase in cumulative methane in the Fe3O4-bentonite 10 digester, demonstrating its effectiveness in restoring the acidified AD system. In acidified systems, bentonite enhanced the diversity and richness of microbial communities due to its buffering capacity. The excessive non-conductive polysaccharides excreted by bacteria in extracellular polymeric substances reduced the possibility of electron transfer by Fe3O4. However, in the synergistic application of Fe3O4 and bentonite, this resistance was alleviated, increasing the possibility of direct interspecies electron transfer, and accelerating the consumption of volatile fatty acids. This approach of integrating carrier and conductive materials is significant for in-situ restoration of acidified systems. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd

As an effective means to improve the wind power consumption capacity of power system, the economy of energy storage participation auxiliary service has received extensive attention from academic circles. In this paper, the cost composition of the whole life cycle of the electrochemical energy storage system is comprehensively considered, and the economic analysis of different Wheres of electrochemical energy storage participating in peak shaving auxiliary services is conducted according to the operation rules of the power market in northeast China. Firstly, four widely used electrochemical energy storage systems were selected as the representative, and the control strategy of source-side energy storage system was proposed for real-time peak modulation in wind farms. Secondly, the peak shaving economic model based on the life cycle cost of energy storage is constructed. Finally, by selecting the annual data of a wind farm in northeast China, the economic benefits of different Wheres of electrochemical energy storage are analyzed and compared, and the reasonable opinions on improving the benefits of energy storage are given. © 2022 IEEE.

Twin-roll casting(TRC)of Mg alloys with high Al content has unique advantages and broad development ***,the severe segregation of high-alloyed Mg caused by TRC technology is difficult to solve at present,which restricts its practical *** this work,the homogenization of coarse segregated phases in a twin-roll cast Mg-8Al-2Sn-lZn(ATZ821)alloy was successfully achieved by a method combining solid-solution heat treatment and controlled rolling,which is suitable for industrial-scale *** addition,the evolution of the microstructure was studied in *** was found that phases dynamically precipitated and dissolved repeatedly during the hot rolling process,and the evolution of entire second phases can be classified into three stages,i.e.,the net dissolution,balancing and net precipitation *** the process,the large-size chain-like eutectic phases evolved into a fine and nearly spherical(～0.4μm)morphology that was uniformly dispersed in the Mg-matrix due to the thermodynamic coupling and the Ostwald ripening ***,a fine grain microstructure(～4 μm)was *** formidable segregation problem of twin-roll cast Mg alloys with high Al content was solved,which is an important finding for the industrial application of high-alloyed twin-roll cast sheets.

Characteristics of Nitrate Enrichment in the Alluvial–Diluvial Fan of the Northern North China Plain: Evidence from Hydrogeochemistry and Isotopes

Intense human activity has led to a high nitrate concentration in the alluvial–diluvial fan of the northern North China Plain, and nitrate dynamics is still unclear. In this study, surface water and groundwater samples collected after a massive rainstorm were examined, with a focus on hydrogeochemistry, isotopic characteristics, and nitrate enrichment. The following conclusions were drawn: (1) Groundwater has a high electrical conductivity, and the nitrate concentration significantly exceeds the standard. The hydrochemical types of groundwater are mainly HCO3-Ca with high-nitrate, which are primarily controlled by the dissolution of carbonates and silicates during water-rock interactions. (2) After the heavy rainstorm, the nitrate concentration in groundwater was significantly greater than that in the surface water, with no obvious distribution pattern, indicating ongoing nitrate accumulation. In contrast, surface water had a greater nitrate concentration in the northern part than in the southern part, which is primarily influenced by nonpoint-source pollution. (3) The rapid enrichment of nitrates in the groundwater is caused by swift leaching from soil reserves due to intensive agricultural activities, and nitrates in surface water are mainly influenced by industrial activities. Additionally, tritium isotopes reveal that agricultural and domestic sewage are continuous sources of nitrate pollution. This study provides insights into the nitrate enrichment mechanisms of water resources after massive rainstorm, supporting the protection and restoration of regional water resources in the NCP. © 2024, The Authors. Ambient fine particulate matter and ozone pollution in China: synergy in anthropogenic emissions and atmospheric processes

Since 2013, China has taken a series of actions to relieve serious PM2.5 pollution. As a result, the annual PM2.5 concentration decreased by more than 50% from 2013 to 2021. However, ozone pollution has become more pronounced, especially in the North China Plain. Here, we review the impacts of anthropogenic emissions, meteorology, and atmospheric processes on ambient PM2.5 loading and components and O3 pollution in China. The reported influence of interannual meteorological changes on PM2.5 and O3 pollution during 2013-2019 ranged from 10%-20% and 20%-40%, respectively. During the same period, the anthropogenic emissions of NO x , SO2, primary PM2.5, NMVOC and NH3 are estimated to decrease by 38%, 51%, 35%, 11% and 17%, respectively. Such emission reduction is the main cause for the decrease in PM2.5 concentration across China. However, the imbalanced reductions in various precursors also result in the variation in nitrate gas-particle partitioning and hence an increase in the nitrate fraction in PM2.5. The increase of ozone concentration and the enhancement of atmospheric oxidation capacity can also have substantial impact on the secondary components of PM2.5, which partly explained the growth of organic aerosols during haze events and the COVID-19 shutdown period. The uneven reduction in NO x and NMVOC is suggested to be the most important reason for the rapid O3 increase after 2013. In addition, the decrease in PM2.5 may also have affected O3 formation via radiation effects and heterogeneous reactions. Moreover, climate change is expected to influence both anthropogenic emissions and atmospheric processes. However, the extent and pathways of the PM2.5-O3 interplay and how it will be impacted by the changing emission and atmospheric conditions making the synergetic control of PM2.5 and O3 difficult. Further research on the interaction of PM2.5 and O3 is needed to provide basis for a scientifically-grounded and effective co-control strategy. © 2022 The Author(s). P

PM2.5 filter sampling and components measurement were conducted in autumn and winter from 2014 to 2015 at a suburban site(referred herein as "LLH site") located in the southwest of *** offline aerosol mass spectrometry(offline-AMS) analysis and positive matrix factorization(PMF) were applied for measurement and source apportionment of watersoluble organic aerosol(WSOA).Organic aerosol(OA) always dominated PM2.5 during the sampling period,especially in *** pollution was serious during the polluted period both in autumn(31.1 μg/m3) and winter(31.9 μg/m3),while WSOA accounted for 54.4%of OA during the polluted period in autumn,much more than that(21.3%) in *** oxidation degree of WSOA at LLH site was at a high level(oxygen-to-carbon ratio,O/C=0.91)and secondary organic aerosol(SOA) contributed more mass ratio of WSOA than primary organic aerosol(POA) during the whole observation *** winter,coal combustion OA(CCOA) was a stable source of OA and on average accounted for 25.1% of *** autumn,biomass burning OA(BBOA) from household combustion contributed 38.3% of WSOA during polluted *** addition to oxygenated OA(OOA),aqueous-oxygenated OA(aq-OOA) was identified as an important factor of *** heavy pollution period,the mass proportion of aq-OOA to WSOA increased significantly,implying the significant SOA formation through aqueous-phase *** result of this study highlights the concentration on controlling the residential coal and biomass burning,as well as the research needs on aqueous chemistry in OA formation.
