This paper presents an innovative optimization strategy for the inter-station speed of fuel cell hybrid electric buses (FCHEBs) operating on dedicated lanes. The proposed method integrates real-time traffic light status and station location to optimize the speed of buses between stations. By harnessing advanced fuel cell technology combined with hybrid electric systems, this strategy aims to enhance the operational efficiency. Through a series of simulations and real-world trials, the paper demonstrates the efficacy of this optimization in streamlining bus operations, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and reliable urban transit system.

Fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) have become an important power configuration for new energy vehicles due to their multivariant power components and the ability to clean emissions. Efficient energy management strategy is the basis of realizing clean emission and efficient energy utilization of fuel cell vehicles. The majority of current dynamic planning algorithms for energy management of fuel cell electric vehicles ignore the optimization of fuel cell working conditions, which makes it difficult to achieve the desired results in practical application. In this paper, an efficient dynamic programming method is proposed to settle the best power distribution scheme between fuel cell and lithium-ion battery, and to optimize the working conditions of fuel cell. simulation results show that compared with the basic dynamic programming, the working conditions of the fuel cell are improved. © 2021 IEEE.

Assessment of Atmospheric Heavy Metal Pollution in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: Using Mosses as Indicator

To investigate potential atmospheric heavy metal pollution in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) of China, mosses together with other higher plants and soil were collected from 33 sites in the summer of 2020 and 2021 for zinc, cadmium, lead, and copper content measurement. The Zn, Pb, Cd, and Cu contents of mosses were in the range of 6.07~69.9, 5.36~23.9, 0.60~1.05, and 14.4~50.5 mg·kg-1, respectively, significantly higher than those in other higher plants except Zn. The spatial distribution of relative contents (RCs;moss to top soil) of heavy metals varied considerably, demonstrating obvious spatial differences between the northern and southern QTP in air pollution levels for Zn and Cu. It was first reported that moderate regional atmospheric Cu pollution (even worse in southern QTP) had happened mainly due to large-scale mining in recent years. Pb also presented slight pollution as the result of anthropogenic activities. Cd showed almost no atmospheric pollution, while Zn contents were relatively high in Yarlung Zangbo River Valley of southern QTP. Compared with other regions in the world, although far less serious than that of Chinese inland or coastal cities, the atmospheric pollution of Pb and Cu in QTP indicated by mosses was far more serious than that of global background areas, or even worse than most of European cities. © 2023, The Authors. Due to their outstanding electrical insulation performance,low energy loss and high reliability,polymer dielectrics are widely used in flexible electronics,capacitors and large-scale power transmission equipment[1–5].However,polymer dielectrics accumulate large amounts of charge on their surface during use,which causes local electric field distortion and induces flashover,explosion,and equipment damage[6–9].Although researchers have attempted to develop methods to reduce the accumulation of surface charge through material modification,such as plasma treatment[10],direct fluorination[11],and coating[7,9,12],each of these methods has drawbacks;thus,the bottleneck has yet to be overcome.

Flexible low-frequency AC transmission technology combines the advantages of 50 Hz AC transmission and DC transmission, and has good application scenarios. High voltage and large capacity AC/AC converters are the core equipment of flexible low-frequency AC transmission systems. The proposal of half-wave commutated modular multilevel converters effectively reduces the number of components and improves system economy. In view of this, this paper proposes an overvoltage suppression strategy for active control of inductor current, which effectively reduces the overvoltage level during commutation. The article first introduces the sparse topology and mathematical model of the half-wave commutated modular multilevel converters. Secondly, the mechanism of overvoltage generation is analyzed. Then, overvoltage suppression strategies are proposed. Finally, a PSCAD simulation model is built to verify the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through simulation.

The design and implementation of a rapid prototyping controller for asynchronous motor are achieved in this paper. Firstly, the vector controller is verified in MATLAB/Simulink, and then an asynchronous motor test platform is established, which is composed of an asynchronous motor, power driver, the dSPACE system, and a dynamometer. The dSPACE system is used to achieve a rapid prototyping controller for asynchronous motor to replace the traditional DSP controller. The experimental results show that the prototyping system can achieve the rapid verification of complex algorithms of DSP, and greatly shorten the controller development process. © 2021 IEEE

In order to realize the lateral control authority allocation for human-machine co-driving, this paper focuses on the absolute authority allocation problem under the large conflict scenario of human-machine objectives. First, the dual intelligences of the human driver and automated steering system are simplified into a cooperative game model for the authority allocation problem. The game model focuses on the benefits of anti-collision safety and 'human-centered' comfort, and the Nash equilibrium in the payoff matrix is calculated via using the maximum-minimum safety strategy. Then, a single-view angle driver model is developed to simulate a human driver and an automated steering system. Finally, several simulations in Simulink/CARSIM are conducted to validate the proposed cooperative game-based lateral control authority allocation strategy for HMCD in a large conflict scenario. The results show that, with the allocation strategy, the system will ensure anti-collision safety and reduce driving load of human driver in a large conflict scenario. © 2021 IEEE.

Efficient Catalytic Ozonation Via C-Sio2 Framework for Advanced Wastewater Treatment: Reactive Oxygen Species Evolution and Catalytic Mechanism

Heterogeneous catalytic ozonation is attractive for water decontamination and catalyst is a core element. However, it is difficult to maintain high efficiency and stability of catalysts under stern conditions. In this study, we proposed Mn-C-SiO 2 -Framework (Mn-CSF) which contained stable silica core and robust carbon shell for efficient catalytic ozonation. The pseudo-first-order kinetic rate constant for oxalic acid removal of Mn-CSF catalytic ozonation was 160% and 875% higher than those of Mn-SiO 2 and pristine CSF, respectively. Mn-CSF was also proven effective in gasification wastewater treatment, where the COD was decreased to 46 mg·L −1 , 37% lower than that of Mn-SiO 2 . These results indicated that the graphitization carbon layer and Mn significantly enhanced the activity of the catalyst. Furthermore, a fulvic-like component and a protein-like component were recognized through 3D-EEM in coal gasification wastewater. It was proven that Mn-CSF catalytic ozonation exhibited higher fulvic-like component and protein-like component removal compared with ozonation. Moreover, ·O 2 − and 1 O 2 were identified to be responsible for organic degradation in this research. Sufficient external specific surface area and porous structure were important for complex wastewater treatment. Specifically, external specific surface area could enhance the degradation of macromolecular organics while porous structures were vital for smaller molecular pollutant removal. The results highlighted that Mn-CSF was a promising catalyst for advanced wastewater treatment, and this study provided new insight into reactive oxygen species evolution. © 2022, The Authors. Sewage-Carried Antibiotic Resistant Genes (Args) Could Be Used for Wastewater-Based Epidemiology (Wbe) Surveillance?

Sewage is an essential carrier for ARGs and can be used for the wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) surveillance. This study carried out a one-year field trial in gravity sewerage to advance our understanding on the distribution and transport of ARGs in sewer systems. The distribution of ARGs at different sampling points of sewer system was insignificant, which was mainly affected by human emission. The correlation between ARGs and antibiotic residues was weak but the effect of seasonal temperature on ARGs abundance was significant, which further proved that the ARGs were mainly derived from human sources rather than in vitro selection. Metagenomic analysis revealed that those ARG were mainly distributed in the phyla of proteobacteria (47.51%) and antinobacteria (20.11%). Clustering analysis indicated that ARG hosts in sewage were mainly from human fasces which include human pathogenic bacteria, such as Prevotella, Kocuria and Propionibacterium. Potential risk of ARG transfer still exists because the ARG abundance was significantly correlated to intI 1 gene and bacteria in sewage. Our results demonstrate that ARG distribution in sewers were largely affected by human shedding, and thus the sewage surveillance could be an effective and economic method for the assessment and management of antibiotic resistance on population size. © 2022, The Authors.
