Ordering in liquid and its heredity impact on phase transformation of Mg-Al-Ca alloys

It is a long-sought goal to achieve desired mechanical properties through tailoring phase formation in alloys,especially for complicated multi-phase *** fact,unveiling nucleation of competitive crystalline phases during solidification hinges on the nature of *** we employ ab initio molecular dynamics simulations(AIMD)to reveal liquid configuration of the Mg-Al-Ca alloys and explore its effect on the transformation of Ca-containing Laves phase from Al2Ca to Mg_(2)Ca with increasing Ca/Al ratio(rCa/Al).There is structural similarity between liquid and crystalline phase in terms of the local arrangement environment,and the connection schemes of *** forming signature of Mg_(2)Ca,as hinted by the topological and chemical short-range order originating from liquid,ascends monotonically with increasing rCa/***,Al_(2)Ca crystal-like order increase at first and then decrease at the crossover of rCa/Al=0.74,corresponding to experimental composition of phase transition from Al_(2)Ca to Mg_(2)*** origin of phase transformation across different compositions lies in the dense packing of atomic configurations and preferential bonding of chemical species in both liquid and *** present finding provides a feasible scenario for manipulating phase formation to achieve high performance alloys by tailoring the crystal-like order in liquid.

Designing a data-driven predictive controller for lateral stability of vehicles on compacted-snow rutted roads, especially when the data is subjected to non-stationary noise disturbances, is a significant challenge. This paper introduces a novel subspace predictive equation construction method that incorporates filtering using the inverse of a first-order disturbance model. Based on this, a filtering data-driven predictive controller is designed. The proposed method is tested through numerical simulations and MATLAB/CarSim co-simulation. simulation results show that the proposed subspace predictive equation with filtering effectively mitigates the variance and bias introduced by non-stationary noise. The co-simulation results demonstrate that the controller ensures the stability and robustness of the vehicle system. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid development of autonomous driving, much attention has been paid to the development of collision avoidance systems in emergency scenarios that have a critical impact on driving safety. In this paper, a multi-constraint collision avoidance path planning method that considers the drivable area of a vehicle is proposed to meet the safety and real-time requirements of collision avoidance for autonomous vehicles. The algorithm defines the collision hazard moment, calculates the relationship between the collision hazard moment and the vehicle position constraint, makes corrections to the drivable area in the vehicle collision avoidance process, and finally obtains the vehicle emergency collision avoidance path by solving an optimization problem that satisfies the vehicle dynamics constraints and the position constraints. In this paper, the Matlab/Carsim/Prescan simulation sets up a high-speed driving condition in front of which there is an obstacle in the same direction of motion to prove that the multi-constraint optimized path planning algorithm considering the vehicle's travelable area can obtain a smooth and collision-free path, and the steering wheel changes smoothly in the tracking control, and the tracking control accuracy is below 0.07m. The experimental results show that the planning algorithm achieves the accurate lane change process The experimental results show that the planning algorithm achieves precise constraints on the lane change process, meets the requirements of the collision avoidance process on the computational efficiency, and takes into account the comfort of the driver. © 2023 IEEE.

A hierarchical longitudinal and lateral motion coordinated control method is proposed for the driving stability problem of distributed drive vehicles under high-speed obstacle avoidance conditions. Firstly, the desired acceleration of the driver and the ideal vehicle state calculated by the reference model are used as references in the upper-level controller to establish a three-degree-of-freedom nonlinear model of the vehicle. The model has limitations on its control quantity and control increment. A longitudinal and lateral coupled motion controller is designed using the Adaptive Model Predictive control (AMPC) method. The lower-level tire force distribution algorithm uses the external positive octagon of the tire force attachment friction circle to simplify the tire force distribution constraint and optimally distribute the total force moment solved by the upper-level motion controller to obtain the longitudinal force and lateral force of the tire to improve the driving stability of the distributed vehicle. In this paper, two typical operating conditions, open-loop angular step, and double-shifted line, are selected and validated by combined simulation with Carsim software and MATLAB/Simulink software. The results show that the longitudinal and lateral coordinated control method can effectively improve the driving stability of the distributed vehicle under high-speed obstacle avoidance conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to improve trajectory tracking accuracy and driving stability, this paper proposes an integrated motion control method considering stability constraints based on distributed chassis by wire. The control algorithm adopts a hierarchical architecture, where the upper control algorithm integrates the dynamics model of distributed chassis by wire with the vehicle longitudinal and lateral coupling integrated motion prediction model to construct multi-objective optimization functions, then designs stability constraints based on Phase plane diagram boundary, suppressing changes of vehicle yaw rate and centroid sideslip angle during motion control, to seek the expected whole-vehicle control input. The lower algorithm is based on vehicle state feedback and expected whole-vehicle control input, using tire utilization adhesion rate as the optimization index, introducing linear simplified tire friction circle constraints, and optimizing the allocation of tire force to improve stability. This paper builds a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test platform, designs test under high-speed obstacle avoidance conditions on low adhesion road surfaces, comparing with active front wheel steering control, to verify the effectiveness of the integrated motion control algorithm. The results indicate that the control algorithm proposed in this paper improves trajectory tracking accuracy and vehicle driving stability. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to meet stricter emission regulations and further improve engine performance,it is also essential to work on improving the diesel engine management system using machine learning regression algorithms.A series of engine calibration experiments were conducted in detail on the diesel engine,including various engine operations such as injection pressure,injection timing,pre-injection ratio,pre-injection timing,load,EGR rate,and regulation of fuel physicochemical *** recording the required experimental data,a multi-objective regression model was constructed by applying two different methods:BP-ANN and SVM,which provided a unique insight into the mathematical relationship between engine performance and operational and control *** the case of ANN,the effects of the number of hidden layer nodes and the number of iterations on the regression performance are discussed,and the weights of BP-ANN are *** network search was utilized for SVM to optimize the penalty factor and width *** results show that the SVM best fits the two *** best R optimal test values for BSFC,BTE,HC,CO,NO,the number of PM concentrations,and the total mass concentration of PM are 0.9146,0.9215,0.9413,0.9463,0.9535,0.9705 and0.9271,*** is strongly recommended that the SVM method should be used as a generalized method,which might be a new direction in modeling nonlinear control systems for diesel engines.

We study syndetic shadowing and cofinite shadowing properties for dynamical systems and discuss the relationships among different kinds of shadowing properties. We have proven that syndetic shadowing, thick shadowing, and family shadowing all have the characteristic of being iterative invariant. Moreover, we have demonstrated that if two continuous selfmappings have the ergodic (cofinite) shadowing property, then the product of these two mappings will also have the ergodic (cofinite) property. © 2023, Politechnica university of Bucharest. As an intermediary between the power grid and the electric vehicles (EVs) in the charging station, the charging pile promotes the exchange of electric energy between the power grid and EV group and also brings benefits to the charging station. It is difficult to accurately analyze the detailed energy trading behavior of a large number of charging piles with the power grid and EV group. Based on the theoretical framework of mean field game (MFG), this paper considers the battery degradation and charging efficiency taking into account the charging demand of EVs, the charging control problem of energy storage charging piles is proposed to achieve the goal of minimizing the cost of the charging station. In addition to modeling the interaction between the charging station and power grid and EVs as a finite-time dynamic game problem, optimal decentralized energy scheduling control strategies are formulated for charging piles, and by introducing the mean field term, the optimal pricing strategy for power trading between the charging station and EVs is obtained under the mean field equilibrium condition. An iterative algorithm is proposed to solve the charging control problem, and the rationality of the problem and the effectiveness of the algorithm are verified by numerical simulation. © 2023 Chinese Automatic control Society and John Wiley & Sons Australia, Ltd.

With the progressing autonomy of driving technology, machine is assuming greater responsibility for driving tasks to enhance safety. Leveraging this potential, this paper introduces a novel human-machine co-steering control strategy based on model predictive control. The strategy is designed to address the difficulties faced by drivers when driving on surfaces with low adhesion. Firstly, the proposed strategy utilizes a parallel human-machine co-steering framework with a weight allocation concept between the controller and the driver. Moreover, the nonlinear controller dynamics model and linear driver dynamics model are developed to characterize the interaction behaviors between human and machine under low-adhesion road surface conditions. And a nonlinear game optimization problem is formulated to capture the cooperative interaction relationship between human and machine. Finally, to solve the nonlinear game optimization problem, piecewise affine linearization method is employed to derive the analytical solution of the human-machine co-steering optimal strategy. This approach enables the determination of the optimal co-steering control strategy for both human and machine components under low-adhesion road surface conditions. Experimental results demonstrate that assigning a higher driving weight to either the controller or the driver leads to increased human-machine driving conflicts. Conversely, assigning equal driving weights to both the controller and the driver minimizes the human-machine driving conflict, where the driver has virtually no influence on the driving of the intelligent vehicle. Furthermore, the human-machine driving conflict is smaller in scenarios where the driving weights are equal. The results show that the proposed method provides an effective assistance for drivers on low-adhesion surfaces. © IUAM 2023.
