AlMoON based solar selective absorption coatings were deposited on stainless steel substrate by magnetron *** coatings included infrared reflection layer Mo,absorption layer AlMoN,absorption layer AlMoON and antireflection layer AlMoO from bottom to *** surface of the deposited coatings is flat without obvious *** absorptivity and emissivity are 0.896 and 0.09,respectively,and the quality factor is *** heat treatment at 500℃-36 h,the surface roughness of the coating increases,a small number of cracks and other defects appear,and the broken part is still attached to the coating surface.A certain degree of element diffusion occurs in the coatings,resulting in the decline of the optical properties of the *** absorptivity and emissivity are 0.883 and 0.131,respectively,the quality factor is 7.06,and the PC value is *** coatings do not fail under this condition and have certain thermal stability.

Zinc coatings have been served as a barrier and a galvanic protection for steel products for over a century. However, with the depletion of zinc resources, it becomes an urgent issue to obtain a new type of zinc coating that uses less zinc and has higher corrosion resistance. In order to develop Zn/ZnMg coatings with better corrosion resistance than traditional galvanized steel and suitable for advanced high strength steel, the vacuum thermal evaporation technique was used to simultaneously deposit Zn/ZnMg coating onto interstitial free steel plates and single-crystal silicon wafers in a high vacuum environment. The microstructure, morphology, adhesion and corrosion resistance behavior of the Zn/ZnMg coating were studied by scratch test, salt spray test and electrochemical method. The results shows that the grain size in the Zn/ZnMg coating tended to increase with the increase of the substrate temperature. After deposited the pure Zn transition layer, the adhesion of the coating has been obviously improved. When the substrate temperature was increased to 200°C, the obtained coating exhibited strong corrosion resistance. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Zinc(Zn)alloy porous scaffolds produced by additive manufacturing own customizable structures and biodegradable functions,having a great application potential for repairing bone *** this work,a hydroxyapatite(HA)/polydopamine(PDA)composite coating was constructed on the surface of Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds fabricated by laser powder bed fusion,and was loaded with a bioactive factor BMP2 and an antibacterial drug *** microstructure,degradation behavior,biocompatibility,antibacterial performance and osteogenic activities were systematically *** with as-built Zn-1Mg scaffolds,the rapid increase of Zn2+,which resulted to the deteriorated cell viability and osteogenic differentiation,was inhibited due to the physical barrier of the composite *** vitro cellular and bacterial assay indicated that the loaded BMP2 and vancomycin considerably enhanced the cytocompatibility and antibacterial *** improved osteogenic and antibacterial functions were also observed according to in vivo implantation in the lateral femoral condyle of *** design,influence and mechanism of the composite coating were discussed *** was concluded that the additively manufactured Zn-1Mg porous scaffolds together with the composite coating could modulate biodegradable performance and contribute to effective promotion of bone recovery and antibacterial function.

Heteronuclear Bicentric Ionic Liquids Tailored for Mild Catalytic Conversion of Co2 into Cyclic Carbonates

The rapid increase of CO2 in the environment is creating severe climate catastrophes and rising ocean surfaces. Therefore, its reduction and green utilization into value-added materials is significant. Herein, heteronuclear bicentric pyridinium-based ionic liquids (BPyILs) tailored with different chain lengths and halogen anions have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The BPyILs were utilized as thermally stable, metal-free, and homogeneous catalysts to synthesize other cyclic organic carbonates (COCs) using various epoxides and sustainable, economical, and inert CO2, and their catalytic activity phenomenon has been discussed in detail. The results demonstrated that [TMGH+][ ̶O2MPy+][Br ̶] possesses Lewis acid-base bifunctional characteristics with strong nucleophilic active sites, which play an essential synergistic effect on the activation of CO2 and the ring-opening of epoxides. Various factors affecting the conversion and selectivity of catalysts, including reaction temperature, halide ion, catalyst amount, CO2 pressure, and reaction time, were further investigated. The results illustrated that under metal and solvent-free conditions, dual functionalized bicentric PyILs ([TMGH+][ ̶O2MPy+][Br ̶]) exhibited 99.7 % COC yield and 99.9 % selectivity at 90 oC temperature and 1 MPa CO2 pressure up to 4 h for the cycloaddition reaction between CO2 and propylene oxide (PO). At the same time, the turn-over frequency was as high as 10.1 h-1. Moreover, the versatility and recyclability of the catalyst were studied, and a plausible reaction mechanism was proposed. Compared to previously reported functionalized bicentric catalysts, [TMGH+][ ̶ O2MPy+][Br ̶ ] requires mild reaction conditions without using any metal, solvent, or co-catalyst, which demonstrates the bright prospect of synthesizing pyridinium-based bicentric (BPyILs) catalysts and its practical use in CO2 conversion, activation, and utilization. © 2024, The Authors. Synergistic Separation Mechanisms of Impurities in Ionic Liquid Aqueous Solution from the Cellulose Regeneration process

Ionic liquids (ILs) have shown significant potential for industrial application in the cellulose regeneration process. However, the accumulation of impurities, especially phosphorus (P) from the raw materials, in the ionic liquid (IL) aqueous solutions generated during the cellulose regeneration process, seriously affects the performance of IL and the quality of the final products. In this study, a crystallization precipitation method was employed to investigate the removal of impurities from IL aqueous solutions. The results demonstrated that the presence of IL accelerated the phase transformation of amorphous calcium phosphate to hydroxyapatite, although it prolonged the time to reach equilibrium. The highest P removal efficiency was achieved at a Ca/P molar ratio of 1.67:1, with an increase in pH further enhanced the removal efficiency. The morphology and size of crystallization precipitates were significantly influenced by the reaction time, pH, IL concentration, and temperature. By optimizing the reaction conditions, a P removal efficiency of 88.82% was achieved in IL aqueous solutions generated during the established hundred-ton-scale cellulose regeneration demonstration production line, with the process also exhibited synergistic removal capabilities for NO3-, SO42-, and Mg2+. These findings suggested that this method effectively removed the P and other inorganic impurities from the IL aqueous solutions generated during the cellulose regeneration process. © 2025, The Authors. A classical density functional approach to depletion interaction of Lennard-Jones binary mixtures

In this article,we apply classical density functional theory to investigate the characteristics of depletion interaction in Lennard-Jones(LJ)binary fiuid ***,to confirm the validity of our adopted density functional formalism,we calculate the radial distribution functions using a theoretical approach and compare them with results obtained by molecular dynamics ***,this approach is applied to two colloids immersed in LJ solvent *** investigate the variation of depletion interaction with respect to the distance of two colloids in LJ binary *** find that depletion interaction may be attractive or repulsive,mostly depending on the bulk density of the solvent and the temperature of the binary *** high bulk densities,the repulsive barrier of depletion force is remarkable when the total excluded volume of colloids touches each other and reaches a *** height of the repulsive barrier is related to the parameters of the LJ potential and bulk ***,the depletion force may exhibit attractive wells if the bulk density of the solvent is *** attractive well tends to appear when the surface-surface distance of colloids is half of the size of the polymer and deepens with temperature lowering in a fixed bulk *** contrast with the hard-sphere system,no oscillation of depletion potential around zero is observed.

Price-Based Residential Demand Response Management in Smart Grids:A Reinforcement Learning-Based Approach

This paper studies price-based residential demand response management(PB-RDRM)in smart grids,in which non-dispatchable and dispatchable loads(including general loads and plug-in electric vehicles(PEVs))are both *** PB-RDRM is composed of a bi-level optimization problem,in which the upper-level dynamic retail pricing problem aims to maximize the profit of a utility company(UC)by selecting optimal retail prices(RPs),while the lower-level demand response(DR)problem expects to minimize the comprehensive cost of loads by coordinating their energy consumption *** challenges here are mainly two-fold:1)the uncertainty of energy consumption and RPs;2)the flexible PEVs’temporally coupled constraints,which make it impossible to directly develop a model-based optimization algorithm to solve the *** address these challenges,we first model the dynamic retail pricing problem as a Markovian decision process(MDP),and then employ a model-free reinforcement learning(RL)algorithm to learn the optimal dynamic RPs of UC according to the loads’*** proposed RL-based DR algorithm is benchmarked against two model-based optimization approaches(i.e.,distributed dual decomposition-based(DDB)method and distributed primal-dual interior(PDI)-based method),which require exact load and electricity price *** comparison results show that,compared with the benchmark solutions,our proposed algorithm can not only adaptively decide the RPs through on-line learning processes,but also achieve larger social welfare within an unknown electricity market environment.

Simultaneous recovery of nickel and cobalt from other transition and base metals, especially trivalent Fe3+ and Al3+, is challenging. In this work, a new synergistic solvent extraction (SSX) system consisting of a novel pyridine analog, N,N-bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)dodecan-1-amine (BPMDA) and dinonylnaphthalene sulfonic acid (DNNSA) with tributyl phosphate (TBP) as phase modifier has been developed. The resulting SSX system has outstanding performance with high selectivity for the simultaneous recovery of nickel and cobalt. Land dissection density(LDD)provides morphological evidence regarding prior intense soil erosion and quantifies the distribution of land dissections.A comprehensive understanding of the potential factors influencing the spatial pattern and value of the LDD is vital in geological disasters,soil erosion,and other related *** dissection phenomena in China affects large areas with different morphological,pedological,and climatic *** studies have focused on the potential factors influencing the LDD at a watershed ***,these results are insufficient to reflect the status quo of dissection development and its primary influencing factors on a national ***’s spatial patterns and the dominant factors at a regional scale in millions of square kilometers remain to be *** study used the geomorphon-based method and the geographical detector model to quantify the spatial pattern of LDD over China and identify the dominant factors affecting this pattern in China’s six first-order geomorphological regions(GR1~GR6).The results yield the following findings:(1)LDD in China ranges from 0~4.55 km/km^(2),which is larger in central and eastern regions than in other regions of China;(2)dominant factors and their dominant risk subcategories vary with each geomorphological region’s primary internal and external forces;(3)the influence of natural factors is more significant on the large regional scale in millions of square kilometers compared to anthropogenic factors;relief degree of land surface(RDLS)is dominant in GR1,GR2,and GR5;the slope is dominant in GR6,soil type is dominant in GR3 and GR4,and lithology plays a critical role in the dominant interactions of GR3,GR4,and GR6;(4)the interactions between factors on LDD’s spatial pattern have a more significant effect than individual factors.
