Structural and Interfacial Microenvironment Modulation of Two-Dimensional Layered Niobium Phosphate to Enhance Uranium Adsorption

To address the environmental and resource challenges arising from the advancement of the nuclear power industry, it becomes imperative to foster the development of efficient and expeditious materials for uranium adsorption. Here, for the first time, a kind of niobium phosphate with improvement of interlayer spacing and hydrophilicity (NbP-8) is employed by crystal phase modulation for uranium adsorption, which synergistically realizes structural and interfacial microenvironment modulation. Characterizations demonstrate that the expanded interlayer spacing contributes to accommodation of uranyl which increases adsorption capacity, and the enhanced hydrophilicity reduces infiltration time and greatly accelerates the adsorption rate. Consequently, NbP-8 possesses exceptional adsorption capacity of 1470.39 mg g-1, ultra-fast adsorption rate with an equilibrium time of 1 min and high selectivity, delivering one of the best phosphate uranium adsorbents. Moreover, this work opens a new venue for optimizing performance of phosphate by changing the crystal phase to modulate structure and interfacial microenvironment for uranium adsorption. © 2024, The Authors. Stealthy False Data Injection Attacks Against the Summation Detector in Cyber-Physical Systems

This article proposes an alternating false data injection attack strategy, which can bypass the summation detector in cyber-physical systems. This attack strategy offsets the impact on historical residuals by constantly changing the attack direction, and therefore invalidates the summation detector integrating historical information to detect the well-designed stealthy attacks. In the simulation, the proposed attack strategy reduces the increment of cumulative summation of residuals by 70% compared to the classical stealthy attack strategy, and bypasses both the χ2} detector and the summation detector. Furthermore, from a more general perspective, by proposing an almost completely stealthy attack strategy to make the residual information almost unchanged, this article proves that residual based detection methods regardless of single-step residual based ones nor historical residual based ones cannot fully detect false data injection attacks. © 2023 IEEE.

Normal adjacent tissues(NATs) of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) differ from healthy liver tissues and their heterogeneity may contain biological information associated with disease occurrence and clinical outcome that has yet to be fully evaluated at the proteomic level. This study provides a detailed description of the heterogeneity of NATs and the differences between NATs and healthy livers and revealed that molecular features of tumor subgroups in HCC were partially reflected in their respective NATs. Proteomic data classified HCC NATs into two subtypes(Subtypes 1 and 2), and Subtype 2 was associated with poor prognosis and high-risk recurrence. The pathway and immune features of these two subtypes were characterized. Proteomic differences between the two NAT subtypes and healthy liver tissues were further investigated using data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry, revealing the early molecular alterations associated with the progression from healthy livers to NATs. This study provides a high-quality resource for HCC researchers and clinicians and may significantly expand the knowledge of tumor NATs to eventually benefit clinical practice.

Emission of volatile organic compounds has important influence on complex air pollution and human *** this paper,a series of tungsten-iron composite oxides with different proportions and preparation methods were synthesized and first used for catalytic combustion of chlorobenzene and toluene,as typical polluting gas *** WO_(3)-based solid catalytic materials were systematically characterized by modern analytical methods,and the results showed that there was strong electron interaction between W and Fe elements in the composite oxides,and the presence of a certain amount of tungsten oxide inhibited the crystallization of iron oxide,and vice versa,which were beneficial to the uniform dispersion of tungsten-iron components into each other and the improvement of redox *** with single-component oxide,the formation of tungsten-iron composite oxide affected the micro-structure,improved the specific surface area and optimized the pore structure of *** performance test results showed that the tungsten-iron composite oxide(FeWO_4-0.5 Fe_(2)O_(3),molar ratio of tungsten and iron was 1/2)prepared using citric acid-based sol-gel method was the optimal,and its catalytic degradation efficiency could reach 90%for chlorobenzene and 83%for toluene at 320℃,and maintain at least 60 h without obvious deactivation,with high selectivity to the formation of HCl and CO_(2).

Developing advanced sorbents for efficient aromatic VOCs sorption from humid conditions are highly desired. In this work, a series of tunable and functional ionic liquids embedded hyper-crosslinked polymers (ILHCPs) containing different structures of anion-functional ionic liquids (ILs) with 1,4-dichloroxylene (DCX) as the crosslinker were designed and prepared for highly efficient gaseous toluene adsorption under humidity. These ILHCPs could achieve high surface area (600~900 m2 g−1), high micropore volume (0.1~0.3 cm3 g−1), small average pore size (4~5 nm), and large water contact angle (up to 110°) through tuning the anion structures and the initial IL:DCX molar ratio. Gaseous toluene adsorption isotherms on typical ILHCPs were tested under 298, 308, and 318 K, and a dual-site Langmuir-Freundlich (DSLF) model was used for well describing adsorption isotherms, which can be divided into two contributions for site I and site II. The isosteric heats of gaseous toluene adsorption were calculated. Furthermore, toluene adsorption under different humidity conditions were also tested. Compared with DCX-based self-condensed HCP, toluene adsorption capacity of ILHCPs remained steadily (270 mg g−1) even under 80% humidity. To our best knowledge, this is the first example of tuning functional ILHCPs for efficient H2O-tolerant gaseous toluene adsorption. The method may also open a door to achieving high adsorption efficiency of other volatile organic compounds by functional IL-based porous materials. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
