Automotive environment is increasingly becoming an indispensable listening space in our daily life. Affected by the seat occlusions on sound propagation between the front-row and rear-row space, the speech communication between front and rear passengers in automobile is a well-known problem. However, this issue has been paid less attention. To this issue, the numerical simulation is a common, low-cost and high-efficiency technical approach. However, it is a well-known limitation on the effective frequencies to common numerical methods. To extend the region of effective frequencies, a combined approach of the finite element method (FEM) for low-frequency and the ray-tracing method (RTM) for high-frequency (i.e., FEM-RTM) was adopted in current work. The full-bandwidth binaural room impulse responses for a listener in driver's seat were simulated with the speaker at mid-right seats, and both conditions with seats and without seats were taken into account. Result showed that the seats occlusions mainly affected the left ear (i.e., contralateral ear). The seat occlusions reduced the early decay time, speech transmission index and magnitude spectrum for left ear considerably. The inter-aural correlation coefficient under condition without seats was lower than that under condition with seats. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The automotive acoustic environment has become an indispensable listening space in people's daily lives. However, due to the complexity of the acoustic environment inside automobiles, the sound reproduction in automobile is particularly problematic compared with that in ordinary domestic environments. From the perspective of sound reproduction, it is an effective approach to improve the reproduction performance by raising the speaker height such that nearer to the height of listener's ear. However, this issue has been less studied quantitatively. In current work, we aim to explore how the speaker height affects the sound field characteristics at target listening region by using the finite element method. The speakers at front door inner panels were mounted to three different heights, respectively, and the sound field characteristics at target listening region in driver seat were analysed. Result showed that for higher speaker layout resulted in larger sound pressure levels at the target listening point, and the sound field distribution tends to be more homogeneous. Also, raising the speaker height is conducive to giving a constant frequency response at the target listening point. Head-type of pedestrian protection needs high requirements for simulation accuracy. In order to improve simulation accuracy, the influence of four types of factors, including structural simulation, simulation settings, subsystem modeling, and material model application, on accuracy of HIC simulation were studied in the form of comparing simulation with tests. The results of the study show that: The geometric difference has a great influence on the simulation accuracy and the average influence level can reach about 20%. After the element size is adjusted from 10 to 5 mm, the accuracy can be increased by 3%. However, considering the accuracy and computing resource requirements, the recommended mesh size of the metal parts in the model is about 5–7 mm on average. The settings of the shell element and solid element, contact and time step size have little influence on the simulation accuracy, all within 5%. The type 16 element should be preferred. In addition, errors caused by the concentration of added mass should be avoided in the calculation. The simulation of heat shield, connection of adhesive, and the inner and outer panel edges of the hood have little influence on the simulation accuracy, at about 1%. Structures such as locks, hinges, bolts, air braces, and wipers are greatly affected by the connection method, and simple rigid connections cannot be used. Reasonable simulation methods should be adopted according to the actual structure. The material cards of headlights and front frame have a great effect on the simulation accuracy, the use of MAT187 material containing failure information is more accurate. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of a Fe-0.12C-0.2Si-1.6Mn-0.3Cr-0.0025B(wt.%)steel with different initial microstructures,i.e.,hot rolled(HR)and cold rolled-annealed(CRA),were studied through optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,electron channeling contrast imaging,microhardness and room temperature uniaxial tensile *** water quenching from 930℃ to room temperature,a fully martensitic microstructure was obtained in both as-quenched HR and CRA specimens,which shows a microhardness of 480±5 HV,and no significant difference in microstructure and microhardness was *** test results show that the product of tensile strength and total elongation(UTS×TE)of the as-quenched HR specimen,i.e.,24.1 GPa%,is higher than that of the as-quenched CRA specimen,i.e.,18.9 GPa%.While,after being tempered at 300℃,the martensitic microstructures and mechanical properties of the two as-quenched specimens change significantly due to the synergy role of the matrix phase softening and the precipitation *** the maximum UTS×TE,it is 18.9 GPa%obtained in the as-quenched CRA one,while that is 24.4 GPa%obtained in the HR specimen after tempered at 300℃ for 5 min.

Reasonable arrangement of stiffeners is of great significance for improving the strength and stiffness of the transmission housing. Taking the transmission housing of passenger car as the research object, the strength and stiffness of the transmission housing were predicted by finite element method (FEM), and the rationality of stiffener arrangement was evaluated. Then the mechanical analysis of unreasonable stiffener was carried out, and specific optimization measures were put forward from the position, direction, quantity and size of stiffener, so as to improve the mechanical properties of the transmission housing. Finally, the finite element analysis and experimental verification of the optimization scheme were carried out. The results show that compared with the original scheme of the transmission housing, the strength of the optimization scheme is increased by more than 26%, the stiffness is equivalent, and the structure does not have the risk of cracking and resonance. The optimization scheme had passed the bench strength test, which verified that the proposed stiffener optimization measures are effective, and the stiffener optimization measures have certain engineering reference value. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

As to low accuracy and modeling complexity of current welding joint fatigue analysis method, the welding joints of an independent SUV body are taken as the research object in this paper, and the road load spectrum is collected, and the loads of connection points between the chassis and body are obtained by load virtual iteration. The results show that the welding joint fatigue analysis based on force and stress can predict the locations of the welding joint cracks of the test vehicle accurately, the fatigue analysis cycle of the welding joints can be shortened. The improved test vehicle can pass the verification of durability test field successfully. © 2022 SPIE.

Aiming at the problem that there is a strong eardrum pressure in the passenger car during the closing process, two analysis and prediction methods, fast formula prediction and CFD simulation based on accurate models, are proposed. The regression model of ear pressure comfort was established by DOE method and multiple linear regression;The simulation software star-CCM+ is applied to simulate and analyze the dynamic characteristics of the flow field in the cockpit during the closing process by using the overlapping grid technology, and the pressure change curve near the ear is obtained. Finally, the CFD numerical simulation model is established by comparing and analyzing the regression prediction analysis results and the real vehicle test data. The results show that the effects of closing speed, effective opening area of pressure relief valve and air tightness of the whole vehicle on the pressure of passengers' eardrums decrease in turn, and the prediction error of multiple linear regression equation is 17 %;The analysis error of the internal flow field dynamic characteristic model based on refined modeling is 8 %. This study provides a theoretical basis for solving the problem of rapid prediction of eardrum pressure and optimization of engineering structure. © 2022 JVE International. All rights reserved.

Only the electromagnetic force on the stator is applied when calculating the radiated noise of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in the industry. And the influence of rotor excitation on the noise of PMSM is not considered. This paper studies the loading method of rotor excitation firstly. The centralized force is applied to the rotor which simplified with superelement. Secondly, the modal results of the motor assembly simplified with superelement are compared with the modal results of the motor assembly without simplified. The correctness of simplifying the rotor with the superelement is verified in this paper. Finally, the motor noise under three working conditions is calculated. The comparison results show that the rotor excitation has little effect on the main order noise of the PMSM. The reason why the rotor electromagnetic excitation is not considered when calculating motor noise in the industry is answered. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Aiming at the problem of vehicle driving map modeling,this paper puts forward a method of constructing dynamic driving map(DDM).Firstly,the intention of road vehicles is identified based on hidden Markov model,which is regarded as one layer of driving ***,this paper hierarchically processes and fuses the current environment from four aspects:vehicle movement information,lane information,vehicle and obstacle information and vehicle prediction information,and obtains the drivability probability of each ***,based on DDM,the behavior decision-making cost equation is put forward,and the decision-making model of vehicle driving behavior with minimum cost is designed by using the idea of dynamic ***,through the simulation verification,the results show that the dynamic driving map designed in this paper can accurately and effectively express the complex road environment compactly,and give reasonable driving advice according to the specific environment,which has good robustness.

Aiming at achieving the national vision of "carbon peak,carbon neutral",the new energy vehicles have developed dramatically in recent years in *** growing supply and demand gap of Li CO,which is the main raw material for lithium batteries of new energy vehicles,is attracting increasing *** this paper,A predictive Gray prediction model is proposed to estimate the supply of Li CO in the next few years,and to analyze the supply-demand gap and its impact in view of the increase of Li CO price and the great demand of Li ***,based on the gray correlation analysis method,a simple game theory model is established,in which the independent variable is built to analyze the game among Li CO suppliers,car manufacturers and battery *** show that the Li CO price has the greatest impact on low-end new energy vehicles,and some suggestions are given to enhance the sustainable development of new energy vehicle industry.
