Aiming at the problem of vehicle driving map modeling, this paper puts forward a method of constructing dynamic driving map(DDM). Firstly, the intention of road vehicles is identified based on hidden Markov model, which is regarded as one layer of driving map. Then, this paper hierarchically processes and fuses the current environment from four aspects: vehicle movement information, lane information, vehicle and obstacle information and vehicle prediction information, and obtains the drivability probability of each unit. Then, based on DDM, the behavior decision-making cost equation is put forward, and the decision-making model of vehicle driving behavior with minimum cost is designed by using the idea of dynamic programming. Finally, through the simulation verification, the results show that the dynamic driving map designed in this paper can accurately and effectively express the complex road environment compactly, and give reasonable driving advice according to the specific environment, which has good robustness.

A novel tooth surface design method of face-hobbed spiral bevel gears is proposed, which utilizes a solid cutter without axis tilting through tool path control combining with optimized cutter blade profile to control tooth contact patterns and realize tooth lengthwise chamfering. Firstly, a gear tooth surface generating plan of tool path controlling actively is developed, the mathematical model of the tool path is built, and the equations are given in detail, the determination method of all control parameters is also described. Next, the tooth surface functions of generating gear and machined gear are established based on a mathematic model of the traditional cradle machine tool. Then, the machine setting is also given in concise equations. Finally, the tooth contact analysis is also conducted for a specific gear pair to validate the validity and the reasonability of the new tooth modification method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper implements a hydro-thermal coupling model for windshield defrosting system. The enthalpy method with a temperature-based formulation is used for modeling the defrosting process, and Darcy term is added to the momentum equation to solve the flow field and capture the interface between phases with a single fixed grid. Dirichlet-type thermal coupling boundary condition is used to enforce continuity of temperature and heat flux at the interfaces. The k-ω SST model is adopted for turbulence modeling to achieve better prediction of impinging jet flow in the cabin. The solver is implemented under the assumption of frozen flow, performs a RANS simulation to obtain velocity field in the cabin, and then conducts a transient simulation to solve the fluid-thermal coupling based on SIMPLE algorithm. The solver is used in the simulation of windshield defrosting of a simplified car cabin model. Considering the data security problems of connected and automated vehicles (CAVs), this paper analyzes the security vulnerability and risk challenges for the communication data in vehicles. Based on state of the art technical manuals, we explore the security reverse engineering technology, and propose the risk assessment method for data security of CAVs. Considering the impact level of data security for the national security, public interests, personal legitimate rights and privacy, we present the possibility evaluation level of data security and get the security risk value of ICVs. The proposed method has been verfied and provides risk assessment results of the vehicle component, i.e., T-box. Finally, the suggestion to construct an effective security protection policies for data security is put forward, and the method for the research of ICV data security is provided to push the development of automotive security system.

Acoustic metamaterials are often used to achieve broadband sound absorption, however, the coupling of multiple units brings great challenges to the design process. Existing methods for the accurate parametric design are too dependent on computer technology, which is not conducive to the development of theories. To overcome the problem, this paper proposes a design method that can accurately modulate the frequency of impedance matching occurrence in the case of multiple subunits coupled in parallel. As demonstrations, six F-P tubes are utilized to achieve the design of perfect sound absorption in the continuous band of 405-445 Hz and the discontinuous bands in the range of 400-410 Hz and 450-460Hz, respectively. The former achieves an average absorption coefficient of 99.3% in the target frequency band, which is verified by impedance tube experiment. In addition, the impact of subunit parameters on the overall sound absorption performance is explored from the impedance aspect, finding that broadband impedance matching is more easily achieved in the state where the subunits with resonant frequencies on either side of the frequency band are underdamped while the remaining components are overdamped. The influence range of a component in the frequency domain is explored and an approximate fitting equation is given. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The reasonable optimization of welding seam load is of great significance for improving the overall fatigue life of punchwelded axle *** the welding axle housing of passenger car as the research object,the stress distribution of the housing and the welding bracket was calculated by the finite element method(FEM),and the fatigue stress spectrum was *** this basis,the fatigue damage of the housing,the welding bracket and the welding seam was predicted using the critical plane method and the notch stress method,and the rationality of the welding seam layout was evaluated by the fatigue damage of the welding ***,the mechanical analysis was carried out for the welding seam with large fatigue damage,and the optimization measures were put forward from the weld position,length and welding bracket stiffness,so as to improve the local load state of the welding ***,the fatigue life calculation and experimental verification of the optimized scheme were carried out The results show that compared with the original scheme,the fatigue damage of the optimized scheme is reduced by 43.0%,and the overall life of the housing is greatly *** optimization scheme has passed the bench durability test and vehicle road durability test,and the housing has no fracture or crack,which verifies that the optimization scheme is effective,and the weld optimization measures have certain engineering reference *** with the bench fatigue durability test,the prediction accuracy of fatigue life is 82.4%,which meets the engineering needs.
