Design and vibration reduction performance analysis of a 6-DOF nonlinear vibration isolation platform by employing bio-inspired multi-joint X-structure

A novel six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) passive vibration isolation platform is studied, which consists of six nonlinear bionic multi-joint isolation structures, top and base platforms. It achieves excellent and adjustable vibration isolation performance in all six directions. By using the multi-rigid system analysis method, the static equilibrium equation and dynamic equation of the 6-DOF isolation platform are established. Vibration isolation performance in six directions (three translational and three rotational) is analyzed, with transmissibility as the indicator. The results show that: (a) By appropriately adjusting structural parameters based on their impact on the platform’s nonlinear stiffness characteristics, the vibration isolation performance in one direction can be optimized (with the minimum isolation frequency reaching as low as 1.1 Hz) without compromising the platform’s loading capacity;(b) By symmetrically arranging the multi-joint structures between layers, the novel vibration isolation platform can demonstrate superior high static and low dynamic stiffness (HSLDS) property and thus excellent vibration isolation performance;(c) The designed isolation platform exhibits low dynamic stiffness even when positioned far from the vibration equilibrium point, enabling low-frequency isolation performance under large displacement vibrations;(d) The platform exhibits directional differences in vibration isolation performance, with better isolation observed in the P_x and P_y directions compared to P_z, and in the P_α and P_β directions compared to P_γ. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature B.V. 2025.

Wafer-scale synthesis of p-type TMD films is critical for its commercialization in next-generation electro/*** this work,wafer-scale intrinsic n-type WS_(2)films and in situ Nb-doped p-type WS_(2)films were synthesized through atomic layer deposition(ALD)on 8-inchα-Al_(2)O_(3)/Si wafers,2-inch sapphire,and 1 cm^(2)GaN substrate *** Nb doping concentration was precisely controlled by altering cycle number of Nb precursor and activated by ***_(2)n-FETs and Nb-doped p-FETs with different Nb concentrations have been fabricated using CMOS-compatible processes.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,and Hall measurements confirmed the effective substitutional doping with *** on/off ratio and electron mobility of WS_(2)n-FET are as high as 105 and 6.85 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1),*** WS_(2)p-FET with 15-cycle Nb doping,the on/off ratio and hole mobility are 10 and 0.016 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1),*** p-n structure based on n-and p-type WS_(2)films was proved with a 10^(4)rectifying *** realization of controllable in situ Nb-doped WS_(2)films paved a way for fabricating wafer-scale complementary WS_(2)FETs.

Fiber-reinforced composites are an ideal material for the lightweight design of aerospace structures. Especially in recent years, with the rapid development of composite additive manufacturing technology, the design optimization of variable stiffness of fiber-reinforced composite laminates has attracted widespread attention from scholars and industry. In these aerospace composite structures, numerous cutout panels and shells serve as access points for maintaining electrical, fuel,and hydraulic systems. The traditional fiber-reinforced composite laminate subtractive drilling manufacturing inevitably faces the problems of interlayer delamination, fiber fracture, and burr of the laminate. Continuous fiber additive manufacturing technology offers the potential for integrated design optimization and manufacturing with high structural performance. Considering the integration of design and manufacturability in continuous fiber additive manufacturing, the paper proposes linear and nonlinear filtering strategies based on the Normal Distribution Fiber Optimization(NDFO) material interpolation scheme to overcome the challenge of discrete fiber optimization results, which are difficult to apply directly to continuous fiber additive manufacturing. With minimizing structural compliance as the objective function, the proposed approach provides a strategy to achieve continuity of discrete fiber paths in the variable stiffness design optimization of composite laminates with regular and irregular holes. In the variable stiffness design optimization model, the number of candidate fiber laying angles in the NDFO material interpolation scheme is considered as design variable. The sensitivity information of structural compliance with respect to the number of candidate fiber laying angles is obtained using the analytical sensitivity analysis method. We study the use of SIMD instructions to support complex conjunctive numerical predicates. Compared to previous studies, we aim to model more realistic use scenarios, where different data types, different comparison operations, and different predicate types can be mixed in a single filtering clause. Moreover, the evaluation of the predicates on a set of columns can take advantage of multiple processor cores for maximum speed. We find that the diversity of the predicates and the introduction of multiple threads pose significant challenges in modeling and optimizing complex predicates. We propose a code framework based on three alternative SIMD algorithms for conjunctive predicates. Then, we investigate cost models for both single-threaded and multi-threaded evaluation of filtering predicates. Our experimental results on synthetic data show that an optimal SIMD plan can achieve up to 10.4× speedup over the best no SIMD plan, and up to 6.8× speedup over sub-optimal SIMD plans. © 2016 IEEE.

Godson2H is a complex SoC (system-on-Chip) of Godson series, which is a 117 mm2, 152 million transistors chip fabricated in 65 nm CMOS LP/GP process technology. It integrates a 1 GHz processor core and abundant high or low speed peripheral IO interfaces. To overcome on-chip-variation problems in deep submicron designs, many methods are adopted in clock tree, and PVT detectors are integrated for debug. To meet the low power constraints in different applications, most of state-of-the-art low power methods are used carefully, such as dynamic voltage and frequency scaling, power gating and aggressive multi-voltage design.

Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) is a promising hardware security primitive. However, it is severely threatened by modeling attacks. This paper proposes a novel Polymorphic PUF for CPU+FPGA SoC. We fully exploit the dynamic reconfigurability of the SoC and use the partial reconfiguration bitstream as the challenge to minimize the Challenge Response Pair (CRP) correlation so as to resist modeling attacks. An asymmetric RO pair is proposed to produce the response. Experiments on real CPU+FPGA SoCs show the high resistance of Polymorphic PUF against modeling attacks, with good uniformity and uniqueness. © 2017 IEEE.

The design and fabrication of a compact and low-cost 4×25-Gb/s transmitter optical sub-assembly(TOSA) and receiver optical sub-assembly(ROSA) using a hybrid integrated technique are reported. TOSA and ROSA are developed without thermoelectric cooler for coarse wavelength division multiplexing applications. Physical dimension of the packaged optical subassembly is limited to 11.5 mm×5.4 mm×5.4 mm. The design of TOSA and ROSA is employed using a silica-based arrayed waveguide grating chip to select the specific channel wavelength at O-band. In TOSA, the wavelength of four 1.3-μm discrete directly modulated laser chips is well controlled based on the reconstruction equivalent chirp technique. In the back-to-back transmission test, bit error rates for all lanes of cascade of the TOSA and ROSA are small. A clear opening eye diagram is obtained.

Reducing the double Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) bias has long been the subject of intensive research among the climate modeling community;however, the role of uncertain moist physical parameters from the atmospheric component model in causing the double ITCZ bias has not been analyzed systematically. This study investigated the potential for reducing the double ITCZ bias through perturbing nine moist physical parameters, using uniform sampling and Latin hypercube sampling methods, and quantified the parametric uncertainty and effects of two-way interactions and overall nonlinear interaction between parameters on ITCZ precipitation in the Grid-Point Atmospheric Model of the IAP/LASG Version 2. Results showed that the double ITCZ bias with excessive precipitation over the central and eastern Pacific south of the equator can be significantly reduced by suppressing deep convection intensity via multiple-parameter perturbation. The uncertainty ranges of the double ITCZ bias associated with multiple-parameter perturbation are apparently larger than those reconstructed from linear superposition of the single-parameter perturbations, thereby highlighting the profound influences of interactions between parameters on ITCZ precipitation. The two-way interaction terms are the primary contributors to the total variance of ITCZ precipitation. The effects of efficiency of precipitation and evaporation for deep convection are highly dependent on the threshold value for relative humidity for deep convection. The overall nonlinear effect among all the parameters tends to sharply exacerbate the bias of ITCZ heavy precipitation and reduce the bias of light precipitation. This strong overall nonlinear interaction among parameters in extreme precipitation simulation plays an important role in causing the double ITCZ bias, and it is closely associated with its impact on the intensity of the total moist processes.
