In order to solve the problem that multiple system integration tests cannot be carried out due to the lack of electric drive systems in the early stage of vehicle development, a virtual reality combination test scheme based on the digital twin model of electric drive systems was proposed, and a method for constructing the digital twin model of electric drive systems was presented. The calculated and measured values of the digital twin model of water outlet temperature of electric drive systems under different operating conditions were compared, with a maximum error of only 4.7%. This digital twin model has the characteristics of accuracy, efficiency, and stability. Based on this model, multiple system integration virtual reality integration testing can be completed in the absence of an electric drive system, and vehicle thermal management performance can be evaluated at the early stage of vehicle development. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Effects of acid deposition control in China:a review based on responses of subtropical forests

For many decades,acid deposition used to pose a significant regional air pollution challenge in *** substantial emission control of anthropogenically derived sulfur and nitrogen containing gasses,both sulfur and nitrogen deposition,as well as the acid rain-affected area,have significantly decreased compared to their peak ***,particularly in the humid subtropics,are sensitive to acid deposition,as evidenced by soil acidification,sulfate and nitrate leaching in stream water,and elevated soil nitrous oxide *** in the total deposition of sulfur and nitrogen,caused a significant decline in sulfate and nitrate leaching from subtropical forest and subsequently in sulfate and nitrate concentrations in stream water,although there was about a 5-year *** delay may be attributed to the desorption of accumulated sulfate and continued elevated mineralization of accumulated nitrogen *** of nitrous oxide,a potent greenhouse gas,also declined in nitrogen-saturated subtropical forest soils,as soil water nitrate concentration ***,subtropical forests in China suffering from elevated acid deposition have begun to ***,the current levels of sulfur and nitrogen deposition continue to exceed the critical loads,i.e.,the assigned threshold levels in accordance with emission control policies,in more than 10%of the country’s land area,respectively,indicating remaining risks of acidification and ***,further emission reductions are urgently needed,also because they will help achieving goals related to air quality and nitrous oxide emissions.

China’s emission control for nonroad diesel mobile machinery(NDMM)must deal with a fast increase in stock as well as regulations that are two decades behind those for on-road *** study provides the first large-scale review and evaluation of China’s NDMM policies,along with emission measurements and an investigation on diesel fuel *** sulfur contents of the investigated diesel declined from 430 ppm(median value)in 2011 to6-8 ppm during the 2017-2018 *** emission control of NO_(x)and PM greatly improved with the shift from the China II to China IV standards,as demonstrated by engine tests and field NO_(x)***,the NO_(x)emission factors for non-type-approved engines were approximately twice the limits of the China II *** compliance based on bench tests was not sufficient to control actual emissions because the field-measured NO_(x)emission factors of all machinery ranged from 24%to 225%greater than the respective emission limits for the *** circumstances adversely affected the effectiveness of the regulations and policies for China’s emission control of ***,the policies on new and in-use NDMM,as well as diesel fuel quality,prevented NO_(x)and PM emissions amounting to 4.4 Tg and 297.8 Gg during the period 2008-2017,*** emission management strategy contributed to enhancing the international competitiveness of China’s NDMM industries by promoting advanced *** effective NDMM emission control in the future,portable testing and noncontact remote supervision should be strengthened;also,the issue of noncompliant diesel should be addressed through rigorous control measures and financial penalties.

The temperature distribution of submarine cables is an important parameter reflecting its operation status. The acquisition of temperature distribution trends for submarine cables under varying seawater flow rates holds important engineering significance. In this paper, the geometric model is constructed using a 220 kV three-core AC armored submarine cable laid on the seabed. The simulation model of AC three-core submarine cable temperature field is proposed based on the coupling of electro-thermal-flow multi-physics field. Finally, the study investigates how the steady-state temperature distribution of submarine cables varies with different seawater flow velocities. The results show that the temperature is radially distributed at the seawater velocity of 0m/s, and the temperatures of different phase conductors are different by the relative position, which are 89.9 °C, 89.6 °C and 89.08 °C, respectively. As the seawater flow velocity increases, the heat taken away from the cable surface by convection increases. When the seawater flow velocity is 1 × 10−6m/s, 0.0001 m/s, 0.001 m/s, 0.001 m/s and 0.001 m/s, the maximum conductor temperatures are 69.5 °C, 44.6 °C, 38.5 °C, 33.6 °C and 32.7 °C, and the ampacity is 871.7 A, 1216 A, 1382.8 A, 1590.7 A and 1640.9 A, respectively. Applying heteroatom co-doped carbon nanotube for manifesting high performance in the electrochemical reduction of aqueous nitrogen oxide by gold nanoparticles

Electrochemical NO-to-NH_(3) under ambient conditions could be a viable alternative having advantages in terms of energy consumption and exhaust gas recycling of NO,replacing a traditional ammonia synthesis method of the Haber–Bosch *** synthesizing boron(B-)and nitrogen(N-)co-doped carbon nanotube(CNT)based gold(Au)catalysts,B-dopants elevate the conductivity of carbon nanotube by sp2 hybridization on graphene and implant B–N domains within the graphene layer,and result in facilitating the embedding amount of Au accompanied by high dispersibility with low particle *** density functional theory(DFT)calculations elucidate that the electron cloud transmitted from B-dopant to the active site of Au induces the Lewis acidic site,and the O-distal pathway occurs following a spontaneous *** of the electron-deficient B-doping area accompanied by N-defects and B–O edges retains the major valence state of Au as Au^(δ+),and suppresses hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)by repulsing the hindrance of H*.This record exhibits the highest faradaic efficiency(FE)of 94.7%,and NH_(3) yield rate of 1877.4μg·h^(-1)·mg_(cat)^(-1),which is the optimal yield over energy consumption in the field of the ambient reduction of aqueous NO.

In this paper, a class of linear quadratic differential game guidance scheme is presented to study the pursuit and evasion conflict scenario that an evader establishes a static obstacle and performs the evasion maneuver to avoid a pursuer. First of all, the engagement kinematic model among the obstacle, the pursuer, and the evader is linearized according to the assumption. The issue of the pursuit and evasion game is transformed into a linear quadratic differential game through the dead zone and the cost functions. Furthermore, the linear quadratic differential game approach is utilized to obtain the guidance strategy with obstacle avoidance. Numerical simulation results are employed to validate the performance of the guidance policy. © 2024, International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences. All rights reserved.

The Increasing Role of Synergistic Effects in Carbon Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement, and Its Associated Health Benefits in China

A synergistic pathway is regarded as a critical measure for tackling the intertwined challenges of climate change and air pollution in China. However, there is as yet no indicator that can comprehensively reflect such synergistic effects;hence, existing studies lack a consistent framework for comparison. Here, we introduce a new synergistic indicator defined as the pollutant generation per gross domestic product (GDP) and adopt an integrated analysis framework by linking the logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) method, response surface model (RSM), and global exposure mortality model (GEMM) to evaluate the synergistic effects of carbon mitigation on both air pollutant reduction and public health in China. The results show that synergistic effects played an increasingly important role in the emissions mitigation of SO_(2), NOx, and primary particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter no greater than 2.5 μm (PM2.5), and the synergistic mitigation of pollutants respectively increase from 3.1, 1.4, and 0.3 Mt during the 11th Five-Year Plan (FYP) (2006–2010) to 5.6, 3.7, and 1.9 Mt during the 12th FYP (2011–2015). Against the non-control scenario, synergistic effects alone contributed to a 15% reduction in annual mean PM2.5 concentration, resulting in the prevention of 0.29 million (95% confidential interval: 0.28–0.30) PM2.5-attributable excess deaths in 2015. Synergistic benefits to air quality improvement and public health were remarkable in the developed and population-dense eastern provinces and municipalities. With the processes of urbanization and carbon neutrality in the future, synergistic effects are expected to continue to increase. Realizing climate targets in advance in developed regions would concurrently bring strong synergistic effects to air quality and public health.

Abnormal Data Identification and Reconstruction Based on Wind Speed Characteristics

High availability of wind power data is the basis for wind power research, but there are a large number of abnormal data in actual collected data, which seriously affects analysis of wind power law and reduces prediction accuracy. Measured power data of wind farm are analyzed, influence of wind speed fluctuation characteristics on wind power is discussed, and abnormal points are identified for data of different wind types. The Cluster-Based Local Outlier Factor (CLOF) algorithm based on K-means is used to identify outlier abnormal points, and conditional constraints based on physical background are used to identify accumulation abnormal points. Reconstructed data segment is divided according to fluctuation of wind speed. The Bidirectional Gate Recurrent Unit (BiGRU) model with wind speed as input reconstructs fluctuation segment data, and bi-directional weighted random forest model reconstructs stationary segment data. Based on analysis of measured data of a wind farm, results show the method can effectively identify various abnormal data, and complete high-quality reconstruction of data, thereby improving accuracy of wind power prediction.

In recent years,with rapid increases in the number of vehicles in China,the contribution of vehicle exhaust emissions to air pollution has become increasingly *** achieve the precise control of emissions,on-road remote sensing(RS)technology has been developed and applied for law enforcement and ***,data quality is still an existing issue affecting the development and application of *** this study,the RS data from a cross-road RS system used at a single site(from 2012 to 2015)were collected,the data screening process was reviewed,the issues with data quality were summarized,a new method of data screening and calibration was proposed,and the effectiveness of the improved data quality control methods was finally *** results showed that this method reduces the skewness and kurtosis of the data distribution by up to nearly 67%,which restores the actual characteristics of exhaust diffusion and is conducive to the identification of actual clean and high-emission *** annual variability of emission factors of nitric oxide decreases by 60%-on average-eliminating the annual drift of fleet emissions and improving data reliability.
