Infrared and Visible Image Fusion Based on Res2Net-Transformer Automatic Encoding and Decoding

A novel image fusion network framework with an autonomous encoder and decoder is suggested to increase thevisual impression of fused images by improving the quality of infrared and visible light picture fusion. The networkcomprises an encoder module, fusion layer, decoder module, and edge improvementmodule. The encoder moduleutilizes an enhanced Inception module for shallow feature extraction, then combines Res2Net and Transformerto achieve deep-level co-extraction of local and global features from the original picture. An edge enhancementmodule (EEM) is created to extract significant edge features. A modal maximum difference fusion strategy isintroduced to enhance the adaptive representation of information in various regions of the source image, therebyenhancing the contrast of the fused image. The encoder and the EEM module extract features, which are thencombined in the fusion layer to create a fused picture using the decoder. Three datasets were chosen to test thealgorithmproposed in this paper. The results of the experiments demonstrate that the network effectively preservesbackground and detail information in both infrared and visible images, yielding superior outcomes in subjectiveand objective evaluations.

Building a renewable power system with renewable energy as the main part can give full play to the regulatory capacity of sources, network, loads, storage and other types of controllable resources. It is the key to promoting clean energy transformation and achieving the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization, and has become a research hotspot in the energy field. In this paper, a coordinated optimization method for source load storage in renewable power system considering overcharge/overdischarge cost of stored energy is proposed. Two state of Charge (SOC) thresholds for the energy storage are set, when the SOC exceeds the corresponding threshold, the cost of overcharge/overdischarge penalty is added respectively to effectively balance the security and regulation capability of energy storage;Then, set the wind/light abandonment cost and the demand response cost of adjustable load, to coordinate the output of source, load and energy storage, to improve the regulation capacity of the renewable power system. Finally, the correctness and rationality of the method proposed in this paper are effectively verified. © 2023 IEEE.

The DC/DC converter in the DC microgrid is the core device that supports the efficient grid connection of power electronic drive devices such as new energy generation units and energy storage devices. In view of this, this paper proposes a nonlinear optimal control method for DC/DC converters based on differential geometry theory, aiming at the nonlinear characteristics of the mathematical model of the converter. First, the topology structure of the DC microgrid is analyzed, and the mathematical model of the DC/DC converter is established;Secondly, the basic principle of power system nonlinear control based on differential geometry theory is discussed, and the nonlinear optimal controller for DC/DC converter is designed based on the accurate linearization method in differential geometry theory to quickly suppress power disturbance and realize the efficient grid connection application of power electronic drive equipment. Finally, the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed nonlinear optimal method were verified based on MATLAB/simulink. © 2023 IEEE.

Design of Ca-type todorokite catalysts with highly active for the selective reduction of NO_(x) by NH_(3) at low temperatures

Ca-type todorokite catalysts were designed and prepared by a simple redox method and applied to the selective reduction of NO_(x) by NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR)for the first *** with the Na-type manjiroite prepared by the same method,the todorokite catalysts with different Mn/Ca ratios showed greatly improved catalytic activity for NO_(x) *** them,Mn8Ca4 catalyst exhibited the best NH_(3)-SCR performance,achieving 90%NO_(x) conversion within temperature range of 70-275℃ and having a high sulphur *** to the Na-type manjiroite sample,Ca-type todorokite catalysts possessed an increased size of tunnel,resulting in a larger specific surface *** increased the amounts of Ca doping,the Na content in Ca-type todorokite catalysts significantly decreased,providing larger amounts of Bronsted acid sites for NH_(3) adsorption to produce NH_(4)^(+).The NH_(4)^(+)species were highly active for reaction with NO+O_(2),playing a determining role in NH_(3)-SCR process at low ***,larger amounts of surface adsorbed oxygen contained over the Ca-doping samples than that over Na-type manjiroite,promoting the oxidation of NO and fast SCR *** the Ca-type todorokite catalysts,furthermore,nitrates produced during the flow of NO+O_(2),were more active for reaction with NH_(3) than that over Na-type manjiroite,benefiting the occurrence of NH_(3)-SCR *** study provides novel insights into the design of NH_(3)-SCR catalysts with high performance.

A passive sampler for synchronously measuring inorganic and organic pollutants in sediment porewater:Configuration and field application

In situ measurement of multiple pollutants coexisting in sediment porewater is an essential step in comprehensively assessing the bioavailability and risk of pollutants,but to date,this needs to be better *** this study,a passive sampler,consisting of an“I-shaped”supporting frame and inorganic/organic sampling units,incorporating equilibrium dialysis theory and kinetic/equilibrium sorption principle,was developed for the synchronous measurement of inorganic(e.g.,phosphorus and metal(loid)s)and organic pollutants(e.g.,parent and substituted PAHs).The equilibrium time and sampling rates were explored in laboratory tests to support in situ *** of pollutants in porewater within a vertical resolution of centimeters,i.e.,1 cm and 2 cm for inorganic and organic pollutants,respectively,were obtained by field deployment of the sampler for further estimation of diffusive fluxes across the sediment-water *** results suggested that the role of sediments for a specific pollutant may change(e.g.,from“sink”to“source”)during the sampling *** study demonstrated the feasibility of synchronous measurement of inorganic and organic pollutants in sediment porewater by the passive *** addition,it provided new insight for further investigation into the combined pollution effects of various pollutants in sediments.

Recently, Wind-thermal bundled transmission via LCC-HVDC has become the main way of wind energy development and utilization in my country at present and in the future. The complex interaction between wind turbines, thermal power units, and LCC-HVDC needs to be further studied. In this paper, aiming at the direct-drive wind turbine group, thermal power unit and HVDC, the linearization model of the system is established, and the interactive coupling relationship between the connected equipment and the electrical damping of the thermal power unit is analyzed, and the mechanism of torsional vibration of thermal power unit shafting caused by wind-thermal bundling via LCC-HVDC is studied. mechanism. Based on the complex torque coefficient method, the influence of factors such as wind speed, control parameters, HVDC transmission power and control parameters on the electrical damping coefficient of thermal power units is studied. Finally, a time-domain simulation model is built in PSCAD/EMTDC, and the effectiveness of the electrical damping coefficient analysis results is verified through time-domain simulation and time-frequency analysis. © 2023 IEEE.

Optimizing sustainable development in arid river basins: A multiobjective approach to balancing water, energy, economy, carbon and ecology nexus

The ongoing water crisis poses significant threats to the socioeconomic sustainability and ecological security of arid and semi-arid river *** Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)within a complex socio-ecological nexus requires effective and balanced resource ***,due to the intricate interactions between human societies and environmental systems,the tradeoffs and synergies of different SDGs remain unclear,posing a substantial challenge for collaborative management of natural *** we introduce a gray fractional multi-objective optimization(GFMOP)model to balance multi-dimensional SDGs through a novel watereenergyeeconomyecarboneecology nexus *** model was applied to a typical arid river basin in Northwest China,where thirty-two scenarios were explored,considering factors such as shared socioeconomic pathways,carbon removal rates,water conveyance efficiencies,and ecological *** results reveal a strong tradeoff between marginal benefit and carbon emission intensity,indicating that improving the economic efficiency of water use can simultaneously reduce emissions and protect the *** the immense power generation potential,wind power development should be prioritized in the future,with its share in the energy structure projected to increase to 23.3%by ***,promoting carbon capture technologies and expanding grassland coverage are recommended to achieve regional carbon neutrality,contributing 39.5%and 49.1%to carbon absorption during 2021e2060,*** with traditional single-objective models,GFMOP demonstrates a superiority in uncovering interrelationships among multiple SDGs and identifying compromised alternatives within the compound socio-ecological *** model also provides detailed strategies for resource allocation and pollutant control,offering valuable guidance to policymakers and stakeholders in pursuing sustainable and harmonious watershed management.

Low-condensation diesel use contributes to winter haze in cold regions of China

The application of low-condensation diesel in cold regions with extremely low ambient temperatures(−14 to−29℃)has enabled the operation of diesel ***,it may contribute to heavy haze pollution in cold regions during *** we examine pollutant emissions from low-condensation diesel in *** measure the emissions of elemental carbon(EC),organic carbon(OC),and elements,including heavy metals such as arsenic(As).Our results show that low-condensation diesel increased EC and OC emissions by 2.5 and 2.6 times compared to normal diesel fuel,*** of vehicular sources,including EC,As,lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd),chromium(Cr),nickel(Ni),and manganese(Mn),increased by approximately 20.2-162.5%when using low-condensation *** variation of vehicular source indicators,observed at road site ambient environments revealed the enhancement of PM2.5 pollution by the application of low-condensation diesel in *** findings suggest that−35#diesel,a low-cetane index diesel,may enhance air pollution in winter,according to a dynamometer test conducted in *** raises questions about whether higher emissions are released if−35#diesel is applied to running vehicles in real-world cold ambient environments.
