This paper presents a path tracking control method for autonomous vehicles by utilizing Adaptive Dynamic Programming (ADP). The primary goal is to enhance the path tracking performance under various longitudinal speeds. The proposed approach incorporates the consideration of nonlinear tire characteristics and establishes a nonlinear vehicle system model based on the fundamental principles of vehicle dynamics. By formulating a performance index function that captures the correlation between the vehicle's position and desired paths, the optimal control strategy is obtained using the Dual Heuristic Programming algorithm (DHP), known for its computational efficiency, within the ADP framework. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed path tracking control scheme, which can have better control performance under different vehicle speeds. © 2023 IEEE.

The volume of the nuclear power plant containment is huge, making it difficult to conduct equal-scale or large-scale thermal-hydraulic tests. Currently the test data mainly come from small-scale tests. To address the applicability of small-scale containment test data in validation process of the containment performance analysis code, the analysis method for applicability of experimental data is proposed and developed on the basis of similarity analysis of the pressure response process in the containment. The applicability study of the test data, which are produced by some scaled containment facilities such as the HDR, Battelle and CVTR, is carried out in combination with the test parameters. The applicability of each test case isobtained respectively when they are applied to validate the containment code in case of the Large Break Loss of Coolant Accident (LBLOCA) and Main Steam Line Break Accident (MSLB) of HPR1000 nuclear power plant. The results show that the similarity criteria for pressure response process and key phenomena within the containment vessel under accident conditions can be employed to analyze the applicability of different containment tests to specified power plant. The test dataoriginating fromHDR ISP-16 and HDR ISP-23can represent the pressure transient process, results of coupling phenomena such as mass and energy release at the break, condensation near the containment shell and internals, within the HPR1000 containment in case of LBLOCA or MSLB. The distortion is either within the acceptable range or conservative for design limits of containment pressure, so that the small-scale containment test data could be suitable for verification and validation of the HPR1000 containment thermal hydraulic response analysis code. © 2025 Xi'an Jiaotong University

When the large-scale photovoltaic power station adopts the method of DC step-up collection access system, the fault of DC transmission line needs to be identified quickly and accurately. By analyzing the fault characteristics of inter-pole short circuit of photovoltaic DC transmission line, a fault diagnosis method based on current polarity zero-crossing characteristics of fault current polarity is proposed. This method combines the zero-crossing times of fault current and its slope characteristics to construct a diagnosis method. The least square method is used to describe the slope characteristics of the fault current, and the number of zero-crossings is added to construct the criterion, so as to avoid the misjudgment caused by the single instantaneous current change rate and the damage to the DC system caused by the long discrimination time when the inter-pole short-circuit fault occurs. The simulation model of 1 MW / ±30 kV photovoltaic DC step-up access system is built by PSIM simulation software. The simulation results show that the method can quickly and accurately diagnose the fault section. © 2024 IEEE.

Enhancement on the ammonia oxidation capacity of ammonia-oxidizing archaeon originated from wastewater:Utilizing low-density static magnetic field

Ammonia-oxidizing archaeon(AOA)could play important roles for nitrogen removal in the bioreactors under conditions such as low pH and low dissolved ***,enhancing ammonia oxidation capability of AOA has great significance for water and wastewater treatment,especially under conditions like low dissolved oxygen *** a novel AOA strain SAT1,which was enriched from a wastewater treatment plant by our group,the effect of magnetic field on AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability,its magnetotaxis and heredity were investigated in this *** with control experiment,AOA’s maximum nitrite-N formation rate during the cultivation increased by 56.8%(0.65 mgN/(L·d))with 20 mT magnetic ***,it was testified that AOA possessed a certain ***,results manifested that the enhancement of AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability was not heritable,that is,lost once the magnetic field was ***,the possible mechanism of improving AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability by magnetic field was owing to the promotion of AOA single cells’growth and fission,rather than the enhancement of their ammonia oxidation *** results shed light on the application of AOA and methods to enhance AOA’s ammonia oxidation capability,especially in wastewater treatment processes under certain conditions.

Drivers of microbial beta-diversity in wastewater treatment plants in China

As one of the most well-documented biogeographic patterns,the distance-decay relation-ship provides insights into the underlying mechanisms driving biodiversity ***-though wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs)are well-controlled engineered ecosystems,this pattern has been seen among microbial communities in activated sludge(AS).However,little is known about the relative importance of environmental heterogeneity and dispersal limitation in shaping AS microbial community across China;especially they are related to spatial scale and organism ***,we assessed the distance-decay relationship based on different spatial scales and microbial phylogenetic groups by analyzing 132 activated sludge(AS)samples across China comprising 3,379,20016S rRNA *** results in-dicated that the drivers of distance-decay pattern in China were *** biogeographic patterns in WWTPs were mainly driven by dispersal limitation at both local and national *** contrast,conductivity,SRT,and pH played dominant roles in shaping AS microbial community compositions at the regional *** rates and the drivers of beta-diversity also varied with microorganism ***,a quantitative re-lationship between dispersal limitation ratio and AS microbial turnover rate was ***,these results highlighted the importance of considering multiple spatial scales and micro-organism types for understanding microbial biogeography in WWTPs and pro-vided new insights into predicting variations in AS community structure in response to environmental disturbance.

Retaining the ultrathin structure of two-dimensional materials is very important for stabilizing their catalytic ***,aggregation and restacking are unavoidable,to some extent,due to the van der Waals interlayer interaction of two-dimensional ***,we address this challenge by preparing an origami accordion structure of ultrathin twodimensional graphitized carbon nitride(oa-C_(3)N_(4))with rich *** novel structured oa-C_(3)N_(4) shows exceptional photocatalytic activity for the CO_(2) reduction reaction,which is 8.1 times that of the pristine C_(3)N_(4).The unique structure not only prevents restacking but also increases light harvesting and the density of vacancy defects,which leads to modification of the electronic structure,regulation of the CO_(2) adsorption energy,and a decrease in the energy barrier of the carbon dioxide to carboxylic acid intermediate *** study provides a new avenue for the development of stable highperformance two-dimensional catalytic materials.

Nonlinear free vibration of piezoelectric semiconductor doubly-curved shells based on nonlinear drift-diffusion model

In this paper, the nonlinear free vibration behaviors of the piezoelectric semiconductor(PS) doubly-curved shell resting on the Pasternak foundation are studied within the framework of the nonlinear drift-diffusion(NLDD) model and the first-order shear deformation theory. The nonlinear constitutive relations are presented, and the strain energy, kinetic energy, and virtual work of the PS doubly-curved shell are *** on Hamilton's principle as well as the condition of charge continuity, the nonlinear governing equations are achieved, and then these equations are solved by means of an efficient iteration method. Several numerical examples are given to show the effect of the nonlinear drift current, elastic foundation parameters as well as geometric parameters on the nonlinear vibration frequency, and the damping characteristic of the PS doublycurved shell. The main innovations of the manuscript are that the difference between the linearized drift-diffusion(LDD) model and the NLDD model is revealed, and an effective method is proposed to select a proper initial electron concentration for the LDD model.
