In order to investigate the oxygen tolerance capacity of upflow anaerobic solid-state(UASS)with anaerobic filter(AF) system, the effect of microaeration on thermophilic anaerobic digestion of maize straw was investigated under batch conditions and in the UASS with AF system. Aeration intensities of 0–431 m L O2/gvswere conducted as pretreatment under batch conditions. Aeration pretreatment obviously enhanced anaerobic digestion and an aeration intensity of 431 m L O2/gvsincreased the methane yield by 82.2%. Aeration intensities of 0–355 m L O2/gvswere conducted in the process liquor circulation of the UASS with AF system. Dissolved oxygen(DO) of UASS and AF reactors kept around 1.39 ±0.27 and 0.99 ± 0.38 mg/L, respectively. p H was relatively stable around 7.11 ± 0.04. Volatile fatty acids and soluble chemical oxygen demand concentration in UASS reactor were higher than those in AF reactor. Methane yield of the whole system was almost stable at 85 ± 7 m L/gvs as aeration intensity increased step by step. The UASS with AF system showed good oxygen tolerance capacity.

A microgrid system in the stand-alone mode with photovoltaic, wind turbine, microturbine, fuel cell and energy storage unit is studied. Mathematical models of different distributed power supply and energy storage devices are established. The load demand of the system, the price of purchasing and selling electricity when interacting with the power grid and other constraints are considered. An economic model for optimizing stand-alone operation cost is established. According to the characteristics of the model, an improved genetic algorithm is selected to optimize the nonlinear system. The algorithm has better stability in solving the optimization problem of large state space dimension. The case study show that the proposed economic model is reasonable and the algorithm is effective.

The major concentration of this study is on developing a novel controlsystem with response and tracking accuracy features capable of precise angular speed regulation of brushed DC motor. Towards this objective, speed loop controller of brushed DC motor based on Triple-step nonlinear method has been designed. The Triple-step nonlinear method consists of the steady-statecontrol, the reference variation-based feed-forward control, the error feedback control. The designed nonlinear controller has the advantage of concision and specific signification. The controller can greatly enhance the transient response performance of brushed DC motor. When a brushed DC motor running at low angular speed, the system appears the speed fluctuation and dead-zone characteristic. Therefore, the friction model of motor is considered in the design of controller. Current dynamic is neglected due to the fast electric response, the commonly used feedforward controller and PI feedback controller is designed. The effectiveness of the control method compared with conventional PID controllers is verified through experiments.

Nowadays, the demand for energy is expanding, the fossil resources are on the verge of exhaustion, and the ecological environment is getting worse and worse. In this form, this paper studies the economic optimal dispatch of microgrid under the background of energy saving and emission reduction. Firstly, the mathematical model of microgrid composed of distributed power, energy storage devices and loads is established. Secondly, under the background of energy saving and emission reduction, the objective function of multi-objective optimal operation of microgrid is established considering both economic and environmental aspects. Finally, the improved Genetic Algorithm is used to solve the objective function. The results of optimization can reduce microgrid system generation cost.

Surface sediments of rivers can exhibit spatial and temporal variations in contaminant concentrations that may significantly affect risk evaluations. As to pollution control and remediation of watershed, large-scale and further background data on PAHs in China were required urgently. Spatial distribution and compositional character- istics of 16 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in surface sediments from Haihe River Basin were investi- gated. A method based on effects range (ER) was used to assess ecosystem risk of ZPAHs (the total of 16 PAH) sensitively and accurately. The results indicated that ∑PAHs content levels ranged from 257 to 16901 μg·kg-1 dry weight. The lower tings predominated in the samples, and 2-, 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-ring PAHs accounted for 12%, 21%, 30%, 30%, and 7% respectively in total PAHs. The ratio of F1 / (F1 + Py) uniformly distributed in the interval 0.20- 0.80, indicating that it may be affected by petroleum origin, oil combustion, biomass and coal combustion jointly. ∑PAHs in Cetian (S6), Dongwushi (S19), Handan (S20), Aixinzhuang (S21) and Tianjin (S37) exceeded effects range low (ERL), in which biologic effects were in a medium level with an adverse effect on biologic organisms. Thus, it is necessary to strengthen the PAHs monitoring and research of the Haihe River Basin.

Direct individual analysis using Scanning Electron Microscopy combined with online obscrv ation was conducted to examine the S-rich particles in PM2.5 of two typical polluted haze cpisodes in summer and winter from 2014 to 2015 in Beijing. Four major types of S-rich particles, including sccondary CaSO4 particles (mainly observed in summer), S-rich mineral particles (SRM), S-rich water droplets (SRW) and (C, O, S)-rich particles (COS) were identified. We lbund the differcnt typical morphologies and element distributions of S-rich particles and considered that (C, O, S)-rich parliclcs had two major mixing states in different seasons. On the basis of the S-rich particles" relative abundances. S concentrations and their relationships with PM2.5 as well as the seasonal comparison, wc revealed that the S-participated formation degrees of SRM and SRW would enhance with increasing PM2.5 concentration. Moreover, C-rich matter and sulfate had seasonally differcnt but significant impacts on the formation of COS.

Small and medium-size unmanned aircraft vehicles (UAVs) can only fly within short distance and ultra low altitude (<100m). It is of great interest to model the propagation in these conditions where there is an important influence of the environment. For the high cost of carrying out measurements and the safety concern, ray-tracing technique is considered to be a proper way for investigating the low altitude UAV channel. This paper presents simulation results based on ray tracing technique which simulates the air-to-ground (AG) channel of small UAVs at different heights in a realistic suburban scenario. Some parameters including path loss, K factor, number of paths, and delay spread are analyzed and show obvious height-dependency. During the ascending progress of the UAV, the multipath components diminish and finally only line of sight (LoS) component remains. The results and analysis can serve as a guidance for modeling ultra-low -altitude UAV channel.
