We constructed a frequently updated, near-real-time global power generation dataset: Carbon Monitor-power since January, 2016 at national levels with near-global coverage and hourly-to-daily time resolution. The data presented here are collected from 37 countries across all continents for eight source groups, including three types of fossil sources (coal, gas, and oil), nuclear energy and four groups of renewable energy sources (solar energy, wind energy, hydro energy and other renewables including biomass, geothermal, etc.). The global near-real-time power dataset shows the dynamics of the global power system, including its hourly, daily, weekly and seasonal patterns as influenced by daily periodical activities, weekends, seasonal cycles, regular and irregular events (i.e., holidays) and extreme events (i.e., the COVID-19 pandemic). The Carbon Monitor-power dataset reveals that the COVID-19 pandemic caused strong disruptions in some countries (i.e., China and India), leading to a temporary or long-lasting shift to low carbon intensity, while it had only little impact in some other countries (i.e., Australia). This paper describes the implementation of automatic generation control (AGC) and automatic voltage regulator (AVR) under generation rate constraint (GRC) and coupling between automatic generation control and automatic voltage regulator while considering generation rate constrain of two areas for improve and better performance characteristic of load frequency control (LFC) problem. our control aim has to normalize the area control error (ACE), frequency error and tie-line power error in spite of the presences of system uncertainties and external load disturbance, So that the required frequency and power interchange with adjacent structures are maintained in order to reduce the transient deviations and to provide zero steady state error in proper short time, the behavior of the planned is checked by MATLAB SIMULINK software.

Air quality network data in China and South Korea show very high year-round mass concentrations of coarse particulate matter (PM) between 2.5 μm and 10 μm aerodynamic diameter, as inferred by the difference between PM10 and PM2.5 observations. This coarse PM averages 47 μg m-3 in the North China Plain (NCP) region in 2015-2019 and 21 μg m-3 in the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA). It is dominantly contributed by urban fugitive dust, rather than by natural dust as is often presumed. Concentrations decreased by 21% from 2015 to 2019 and further dropped abruptly in 2020 due to COVID-19 reductions in construction and vehicle traffic. This anthropogenic coarse PM is generally not included in air quality models but acts as a sink of nitric acid (HNO3), thus affecting fine particulate nitrate which is a major air quality concern in China and South Korea. GEOS-Chem model simulation of surface and aircraft observations from the KORUS-AQ campaign over the SMA in May-June 2016 shows that consideration of anthropogenic coarse PM largely resolves the previous model overestimate of PM1 nitrate. Anthropogenic coarse PM in the model increases the sensitivity of PM2.5 nitrate to ammonia (NH3) emission in winter. In summer, anthropogenic coarse PM directly affects PM2.5 nitrate by HNO3 uptake, and we find that the decrease of anthropogenic coarse PM over 2015-2019 offset the PM2.5 nitrate reductions expected from decreasing NOx and NH3 emissions. Human migration during the Chinese Spring Festival (SF) is the largest collective human activity of its kind in the modern era-involving about one-tenth of the world population and over six percent of the earth's land surface area. The festival results in a drop of air pollutant emissions that causes dramatic changes of atmospheric composition over China's most polluted regions. Based on satellite and in-situ measurements for the years 2005-2019 over 50 cities in eastern China, we find that the atmospheric NO2 pollution dropped by ~40% during the SF week, and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) decreased by ~30% in the following week, reflecting the effectiveness of precursor emission controls on the mitigation of secondary PM2.5 formation. However, although human activity and emissions are at the lowest level, air pollution over eastern China during the SF still far exceeds that over other worldwide pollution hotspots. Our analyses suggest that measures based solely on end-of-pipe controls and industry upgrades may not suffice to meet air quality goals. Further cleaning of the air in China depends fundamentally on sustainable advances in both heavy industry upgrades and clean energy transition. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. All rights reserved.

When the wind turbine adopts the rotor inertia control to participate in grid frequency regulation, it is easy to cause the second frequency drop, which will be more serious when applied to the wind farm. To solve this problem, the influence of wind speed on the unit's ultimate support time under the constant power support mode is analyzed quantitatively and wind turbine recovery time is defined. The functional relationship between the unit's support time and recovery time suitable for engineering application is given. A wind farm frequency regulation optimization model aiming at the longest supporting time of all units in the whole station is established, and the wind farm coordinated frequency regulation control strategy based on decentralized exit is proposed, taking full account of capacity differences of units under different working conditions. simulation examples show that the real-time coordination of the exit of the wind turbine frequency regulation can effectively alleviate the secondary frequency drop problem of a wind farm. © 2019 Institution of Engineering and Technology. In this paper, a slot-coupled microstrip line filter based on Defected Ground Structure (DGS) is designed. It is a band-pass filter. It is simulated by HFSS software. At the same time, the equivalent circuit of the designed filter is extracted by ADS software. The performance of the filter is verified by comparing the simulation results of the two filters.

Pollutants emissions is strictly controlled in modern power plants, and Nitrogen Oxides(NOx), which is the main contaminants is the exhaust gas. The Selective Catalytic Reduction process(SCR) is commonly used for denitration. For achieving an effective the SCR outlet NOx concentration control, an accurate outlet NOx concentration model is necessary. A model using historical data is proposed, and long-short term memory(LSTM) algorithm is applied, which could describe relevance in time series. The accuracy performances for proposed data-driven model are verified, and root mean square error( RMSE) and mean absolute error(MAPE) for training set are, 0.706 mg/m3 and 1.99%, respectively, which for test set are 1.44 mg/m3 and 2.90%, respectively, The verification reveals that the accuracy for data-driven model is acceptable for control system design.

As renewable power generation directly affects the customers' traditional electricity behavior and then offsets the power load, this paper proposes a load curve modeling method for renewable power customers based on the behavior analysis. Firstly, customers' active behavior is represented by the quantity of active customer households. Based on the analysis of customer behaviors, a modeling method for the quantity of active customer households is proposed based on Markov Chain Monte Carlo method. Then, with the inputs as the quantity of active customer households and time of photovoltaic power generation, an inference model based on fuzzy logic is proposed to get the quantity of customer household starting electrical appliances. By combing the average usage time of electrical appliances, load characteristics are analyzed based on usage state of electrical appliance of distributed power customers. Finally, the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In order to solve the problem of large parameter identification error caused by nonlinear links of excitation system being triggered easily when transient stability is under fault state, an improved differential evolution algorithm for system parameter identification is proposed by using the characteristic of artificial intelligence algorithm that the nonlinear link is approximated infinitely through optimization. The improvement of the algorithm solves the problems of slow convergence speed, poor fine optimization ability and easily to produce local optimum when classical artificial intelligence algorithm identifies the parameters of non-linear links. At the same time, in order to solve the problem of inaccurate parameters in the whole identification, a decomposition link identification strategy is proposed. The example analysis shows that the algorithm improves the convergence speed, avoids local optimum and improves the convergence accuracy. According to the proposed parameter identification strategy, the excitation system is decomposed and identified, which improves the accuracy of generator excitation system parameter identification, and provides an accurate model and method for power system stability analysis
