The Development and Analysis of Primary Frequency Regulation and AGC Test in Shandong power Grid

Based on the 2018 entire-gird primary frequency regulation and AGC test, the concrete procedures and obtained results of Shandong power grid are analyzed at length. In combination with the published standards and specifications, the new techniques adopted in the test are analyzed. And then, according to the emerging problems during the test, the improvement measures and optimization suggestions are proposed. With the help of analyzed results and proposed advices, the further technical supervision work of source-network coordination can be developed and thermal unit performance can be improved.

Input data analysis for the thermal rating prediction of the overhead conductor

The thermal rating of the overhead conductor is closely related to meteorological factors such as wind speed, wind direction, ambient temperature and solar radiation. Therefore, both the historical thermal ratings and meteorological data are alternative input data to predict the thermal rating of the overhead conductor. It is important to select suitable input data to improve the prediction accuracy of the prediction results. Based on the collection of micro-meteorological data from overhead line monitoring system, this paper presents a method to determine the input data for the thermal rating prediction by analysing the autocorrelation of overhead thermal ratings and the cross-correlation between thermal rating and historical micrometeorological data. The results show that the proposed method can provide reference information for the selection of predictive input quantities and prediction time domain.

Wind energy has become one of the most promising new energy sources in the context of the global energy interconnection. However, the inherent uncertainty of wind power and the volatility of its output make it difficult to join the internet for scheduling. The uncertainty of the output must be reduced or even eliminated by certain methods. In this paper, wind power and energy storage are coordinated to eliminate the uncertainty of wind power output, and to reduce the burden on the grid while ensuring the long-term operation of wind farms. This paper first introduces Q-learning in reinforcement learning as a controller. Through a large number of historical wind power data training, the controller has good decision-making ability, so as to reduce the punishment caused by wind power uncertainty; then the Q-learning is improved aiming at the maximum average income of the stage. Finally, the Q-value network is established with conventional Q-learning and improved Q-learning. The DQN algorithm in the deep reinforcement learning algorithm is introduced for deep training and decision-making and the three algorithms are verified. The result proves that the deep reinforcement learning algorithm can achieve better control effect than Q-learning.

With the rapid development of Energy Internet, Energy Internet demonstration park has become the focus of international academy and industry. In this paper, main characteristics and objectives of Energy Internet demonstration park are analyzed and the architecture of Energy Internet demonstration park composed of the physical layer, information layer, and operation layer has been proposed. Moreover, both the old and new value of multi-energy complementary is summarized and discussed. Finally, numerical analysis of the demonstration Park is used to explore the value innovation mentioned above.

Vibration and acoustic noise emitted by dry-type air-core reactors under PWM voltage excitation

According to coupling way between the magnetic field and the structural order, structure mode is discussed by engaging finite element (FE) method and both natural frequency and modal shape for a dry-type air-core reactor (DAR) are obtained in this paper. On the basis of harmonic response analysis, electromagnetic force under PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) voltage excitation is mapped with the structure mesh, the vibration spectrum is gained and the consequences represents that the whole structure vibration predominates in the radial direction, with less axial vibration. Referring to the test standard of reactor noise, the rules of emitted noise of the DAR are measured and analyzed at chosen switching frequency matches the sample resonant frequency and the methods of active vibration and noise reduction are put forward. Finally, the low acoustic noise emission of a prototype DAR is verified by *** the request of the authors, this article is being retracted effective 30 October 2018.

Background Adoption of electric vehicles has the potential to reduce air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions, hence China has implemented policies incentivising use of electric vehicles. However, much is unknown about the potential air quality and public health benefits of electric vehicles, including optimal vehicle type prioritisation and the vehicles' ability to reduce acute health impacts due to extreme air quality events. We aimed to assess the potential climate and acute public health benefits of use of electric vehicles during an extreme winter air pollution event. Methods In this modelling study, we used the Weather Research Forecast and Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling system air quality model to simulate the interplay between weather and atmospheric chemistry. We used this model to examine potential co-benefits of electric vehicle adoption during an extreme pollution episode in China. We simulated heavy-duty and light-duty electric vehicle adoption scenarios, in which 40% of the population adopted a heavy-duty or light-duty passenger electric vehicle, re-mapped battery power needs to energy generation facilities, and characterised differences in public health outcomes using China-specific concentration-response functions. Findings We found that widespread adoption of heavy-duty electric vehicles would reduces nitric oxide and fine particulate matter resulting in 562 (95% CI 410–723) fewer premature acute deaths than the non-electrified baseline scenario. However, widespread adoption of heavy-duty electric vehicles does not reduce carbon dioxide emissions without the addition of emission-free electricity generation. By contrast, widespread adoption of light-duty electric vehicles robustly reduces greenhouse gas emissions, but results in lesser air quality improvements and fewer premature deaths avoided (145 [95% CI 38–333]) than the heavy-duty scenario. A microgrid system in the stand-alone mode with photovoltaic, wind turbine, microturbine, fuel cell and energy storage unit is studied. Mathematical models of different distributed power supply and energy storage devices are established. The load demand of the system, the price of purchasing and selling electricity when interacting with the power grid and other constraints are considered. An economic model for optimizing stand-alone operation cost is established. According to the characteristics of the model, an improved genetic algorithm is selected to optimize the nonlinear system. The algorithm has better stability in solving the optimization problem of large state space dimension. The case study show that the proposed economic model is reasonable and the algorithm is effective.

Nowadays, the demand for energy is expanding, the fossil resources are on the verge of exhaustion, and the ecological environment is getting worse and worse. In this form, this paper studies the economic optimal dispatch of microgrid under the background of energy saving and emission reduction. Firstly, the mathematical model of microgrid composed of distributed power, energy storage devices and loads is established. Secondly, under the background of energy saving and emission reduction, the objective function of multi-objective optimal operation of microgrid is established considering both economic and environmental aspects. Finally, the improved Genetic Algorithm is used to solve the objective function. The results of optimization can reduce microgrid system generation cost.

The dynamic response of distribution network is becoming more and more complicated, as the rapid development of renewable energy. Wide Area Measurement system light (WAMS Light) can monitor the distribution network synchronously. The communication of real-time and high-speed data has been put on the research agenda. Firstly, analyzes the existing communication network of distribution network, and proposes to use Long Term Evolution (LTE, 4G) for WAMS Light. Secondly, discusses the IEC 60870-5-101 and the IEEE C37.118.2 protocol, and puts forward suggestions for the WAMS Light protocol. Thirdly, studies the communication security, and suggests using DES and RSA algorithm based on key Distribution Center (KDC) in WAMS Light. Finally, the main station has received the PMU Light data smoothly through a platform containing PMUs Light and simulated PMUs Light. This means 4G, WAMS Light communication protocol, DES and RSA based KDC can be used in the communication of WAMS Light. © 2017 IEEE.
