Regenerative compressed air energy storage(RCAES) system is a practical and efficient solution to large-scale integration of renewable energy problems faced by powersystems currently. Appropriately modeling of RCAES system is critical to its practical application, whereas research in this area has been very limited. According to the energy storage and transformation process, a concise model of RCAES system applicable to power scheduling field is proposed. Then, a unit commitment model with RCAES system is formulated as a MILP problem which can be accurately solved with high computation efficiency by CPLEX. A modified IEEE 39 bus system is used to study the impacts of parameters of RCAES system on unit commitment and the effectiveness of the proposed model is then validated. Furthermore, the proposed model can also be employed to optimize key parameters of RCAES system, e.g. efficiency and capacity of each part in an integrated way.

The Thevenin equivalent circuit parameters for the upstream system seen at a load bus plays an important role in the powersystem operation and planning. In order to accurately estimate the Thevenin equivalent parameters for the upstream supply system, an estimation method not requiring synchronized measurement is used in this paper. The characteristics of the probability curves of load voltage and impedance fluctuations have been analyzed, based on which the data selection criteria has been established. The field measurement data from different substations are processed by the proposed methods, and abnormal data has been filtered out in order to increase the accuracy of the estimated parameters. The validity and accuracy of the proposed method has been verified by both the simulation and field measurement data.

When the wind power electricity system working above the rated wind speed, the disturbed wind speed can lead to the output power ripple easily, which causes a significant negative influence on the stability of the power grid. In order to overcome this disadvantage, this paper discusses the mixed H2/H∞ pitch angle control design problem for the nonlinear wind turbine generator system(WTGS), where the turbulence is regarded as the disturbance input. Especially, the traditional exact linearization and the pole placement techniques are also applied to guarantee the desired control performance and expected dynamic characteristics in the situation of a large-scale variety of the system operation points. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
