In this paper, we address the distributed prescribed-time convex optimization (DPTCO) problem for a class of high-order nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) under undirected connected graphs. A cascade design framework is proposed, dividing the DPTCO implementation into two parts: distributed optimal trajectory generator design and local reference trajectory tracking controller design. The DPTCO problem is then transformed into the prescribed-time stabilization problem of a cascaded system. Changing Lyapunov function and time-varying state transformation methods together with the sufficient conditions are proposed to prove the prescribed-time stabilization of the cascaded system as well as the uniform boundedness of internal signals in the closed-loop MASs. The proposed framework is then utilized to solve robust DPTCO problem for a class of chain-integrator MASs with external disturbances by constructing a novel sliding-mode variables and exploiting the property of time-varying gains. The proposed framework is further utilized to solve the adaptive DPTCO problem for a class of strict-feedback MASs with parameter uncertainty, in which backstepping method with prescribed-time dynamic filter is adopted. The descending power state transformation is introduced to compensate the growth of increasing rate induced by the derivative of time-varying gains in recursive steps and the high-order derivative of local reference trajectory is not required. In order to overcome the curtailment of wind energy caused by "power determined by heat" of combined heat and power units, this study proposes an integrated demand response strategy and optimization method for heat-electric energy dispatching in a regional integrated energy system. Firstly, a scene analysis model based on Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) and Backward Reduction (BR) is constructed to analyze the probabilistic properties of wind power output in various scenes, and further provide a necessary reference for integrated energy scheduling. Secondly, the schedulable electrical power and thermal demand are evaluated with the consideration of the transmission characteristics of the heat supply network, then the integrated demand response of electric-thermal coordination is adopted to facilitate suppress the heat load fluctuation and wind power consumption. Finally, the optimal scheduling model of regional integrated energy system is established considering the source-load coordination, and the optimal output of each power unit is determined with the goal of minimizing overall cost during the scheduling period. The simulation results demonstrated that the proposed scheduling method reduces the operation cost of the integrated energy system and effectively promotes the wind energy consumption. Furthermore, it serves as a benchmark for the coordinated operation of wind turbines and power grids. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The uncertainty of renewable energy sources has aroused the interests in depicting the ability of power systems to accommodate the variations. Loadability set is one of the typical methods to characterize the feasible sets of power systems with uncertainties. The existing literature on loadability set do not incorporate intertemporal constraints, while for some cases like security check, intertemporal constraints are necessary and important. This paper firstly adapts loadability set to security check, enabling it to depict the capability of power systems to accommodate load variations. Singular value decomposition (SVD) and progressive vertex enumeration (PVE) are introduced to lighten the computational burden caused by multiple periods. The computational time can be traded off with the precision of approximation to the loadability set. Case studies verify that the loadability set can be approximated with proper precision. © 2020 Institution of Engineering and Technology. All rights reserved.

The load of a region is often influenced by multiple factors, resulting in strong nonlinearity and temporal characteristics of load data, which increases the difficulty of accurately predicting load. To improve the accuracy of power load forecasting, this paper proposes a short-term power load forecasting method based on VMD-ResNet. Firstly, at the data level, the Variational Modal Decomposition (VMD) method is used to decompose historical loads and temperatures to obtain a more stable Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF). Then, different IMFs are integrated and input into the first stage prediction model along with seasonal and holiday information to extract internal features of the data for preliminary prediction; The second stage is a Deep Residual Network (ResNet) that uses the forecast data from the first stage as input to predict the load over the next 24 hours. The data adopts real load data from Panama City from January 2015 to June 2020. The average absolute percentage error (MAPE) of the VMD-ResNet load forecasting model is 1.3%. Compared with load forecasting networks such as SVR, LSTM, CNN-LSTM, ResNet, etc., the MAPE of the test set has decreased by 2.36%, 1.8%, 1.2%, and 0.8%, respectively. Experiments have shown that VMD-ResNet can deeply mine data characteristics and has good predictive performance.

With the development of distributed generations, the related real-time simulation technology has drawn extensive attention. In the distributed generation units, the power electronics are critical parts. In order to better deal with challenges of the large number of power electronic devices connected to the distribution network, this paper presents an embedded real-time simulation model based on associated discrete circuit (ADC) for a three-phase voltage source inverter. This model can be implemented in a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). And the FPGA can reduce the computational burden of power electronics simulation, because of its powerful parallel computing performance. First of all, a grid-connected power electronic inverter with a three phase RL filter model is built based on the ADC modeling approach, which can enhance the small step simulation performance. Secondly, the phase-locked loop technology has been introduced into the system to track the information of the phase angle. Finally, a FPGA based voltage and current double loop control method is presented to ensure the stable operation. The circuit simulation results verify the effectiveness of the scheme. © 2020 The Authors.

Uncertainty is not negligible in power systems, it affects the generation, transmission and utilization of electricity. Especially in electricity markets, the randomness and variability of generation or load will cause notable forecast errors and lead to economic losses of market participants. Due to the data explosion in recent few years, data have gradually become valuable information that can be mined, analyzed, and applied. Meanwhile, the utility that more abundant and accurate information could eliminate uncertainty is emerging. In this paper, solar power plants (SPPs) are selected as the object, the general mechanism in electricity markets is briefly introduced and the corresponding market optimization model is constructed. With the optimization model analytically solved, the impact of uncertainty is analyzed and the expressions of information value are derived. Besides, uniform, normal, logistic, and Laplace distribution are used in the evaluation of information value and compared. Finally, the case study is conducted to verify the theoretical results of information value and illustrate its significance. © 2020 IEEE.

Our result is derived from an application of the Kronecker-Seuret decomposition in conjunction with the construction of Krasovskiı̆ functionals, where the final solution is expressed as a set of convex semidefinite programming problems. All functions in Ae(·), Ce(·), Be(·), Be (·) are explicitly addressed without requiring the use of operator or C0-semigroup theory. Moreover, the resulting optimization sufficient conditions can be efficiently computed by numerical solvers that are accessible to the general public, without requiring that the stabilizability and detectability of the open-loop system are known. We present the test results of two challenging examples, which could not be efficiently tackled by existing methods, to demonstrate the effectiveness of our methodology. The main objective of this study is to develop a non-conservative and numerically efficient framework for the mathematical control problem under investigation, designed to be accessible to engineers without expertise in operator theory and functional analysis. Additionally, this article briefly reviews recent research advancements in the mathematical control of linear time-delay systems, which could be useful to both emerging and experienced researchers in this field. With the development of science and technology, people also pay more and more attention to the development of new energy. Although there are also many studies on integrated energy systems now, integrated energy systems containing energy storage should also be further studied. This paper proposes an optimization of integrated energy system for combined cooling, heating and power supply of new energy based on energy storage, which analyzes the gas turbine, absorption refrigerating machine, electric refrigerator, photovoltaic power generation units, wind turbine and the work characteristics of the energy storage device. In this paper, an integrated energy system optimization model of new energy cogeneration with energy storage equipment is established. An example shows that the integrated energy system with energy storage can effectively solve the independent decoupling operation relationship among cool, heat and electricity. At the same time, the proposed model can also solve the energy interaction among cool, heat and electricity. In this way, the optimal operation of the integrated energy system can be realized. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The speed of variable speed diesel generator set changes with the load, and its operating speed and operating conditions are different from those of propulsion unit or constant speed generator set. In order to give full play to the fuel saving advantages of variable speed diesel generator set, this paper takes the variable speed diesel generator set and the back-to-back three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) converter as the research object, and carries out the research on speed control strategy and performance optimization of variable speed diesel generator set, so as to achieve the best fuel consumption control.

Integrated power generation group's participation in the carbon trading market and peaking auxiliary service market is one of the effective ways to promote low carbon power development and wind power consumption. Aiming at the serious problem of wind abandonment during the low temperature period of winter heating period in Northeast China, a multi-market mechanism is proposed. The carbon trading is analysed. Firstly, and the regional peak demand optimization model based on multi-scenario stochastic programming and the maximum wind power acceptance power calculation model of regional power grid is constructed to calculate the peak shaving demand and existing peak shaving in each period of the regional power grid. Maximum wind power acceptance under resources;Based on the coordination of carbon quotas among power generation groups and the subsection compensation mechanism of compensated peak shaving costs, and aiming at the minimum sum of total coal consumption costs, wind abandonment penalties and compensation costs, integrated dispatching model considering carbon trading and peak shaving compensation is established. Finally, an example is given to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed strategy. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
