In order to reduce the impact of transmission line icing on the secure operation of power grid in extreme weather, an online pre-warning method based on stack denoising autoencoder (SDAE) is proposed in this paper. First, considering deicing phenomenon, geographical factors and current thermal effect under different operating conditions, sample selection, data revision and sample cluster are carried out. Then, the prediction model of ice thickness growth based on SDAE is established and trained off-line. Finally, the icing trend is evaluated according to the real-time weather information, and combining with the current data as well as the cumulative effect of time, the line ice thickness is predicted online so as to conduct ice severity pre-warning. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method can improve the noise adaptability and prediction accuracy. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Fine particles associated with haze pollution threaten the health of over 400 million people in China. Owing to excellent non-destructive fingerprint recognition characteristics, Raman and surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) are often used to analyze the composition of fine particles to determine their physical and chemical properties as well as reaction mechanisms. However, there is no comprehensive Raman spectral library of fine particles. Furthermore, various studies that used SERS for fine-particle composition analysis showed that the uniqueness of the SERS substrates and different excitation wavelengths can produce a different spectrum for the same fine-particle component. To overcome this limitation, we conducted SERS experiments with a portable Raman spectrometer using two common SERS substrates(silver(Ag) foil and gold nanoparticles(Au NPs)) and a 785 nm laser. Herein, we introduced three main particle component types(sulfate-nitrate-ammonium(SNA), organic material, and soot) with a total of 39 chemical substances. We scanned the solid Raman, liquid Raman, and SERS spectra of these substances and constructed a fine-particle reference library containing 105 spectra. Spectral results indicated that for soot and SNA, the differences in characteristic peaks mainly originated from the solid-liquid phase transition;Ag foil had little effect on this difference, while the Au NPs caused a significant red shift in the peak positions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Moreover, with various characteristic peak positions in the three types of spectra, we could quickly and correctly distinguish substances. We hope that this spectral library will aid in the future identification of fine particles.

To protect the environment and lower carbon dioxide emissions, conventional fossil-fuel generators tend to be replaced by renewable generation. The volatile and uncertain renewable generation, as well as the reduced proportion of conventional fossil-fuel generators, causes challenges for power systems in terms of peak shaving. The equipment of energy storage is an important solution for the challenges. This paper proposes a distributionally robust method that coordinatedly plans renewable generation, transmission, and energy storage, minimizing the sum of investment and operation costs including carbon taxes. The operation cost is the optimal value of an operation optimization problem. Wasserstein-metric-based ambiguity set is established to deal with the possible inexactness of the empirical distribution of renewable generation and load uncertainties, based on which the worst-case expectation of operation cost is formulated. By calculating the Lipschitz constant of the operation cost function, the planning model comes down to mixed-integer linear programming. The case study in the IEEE 30-bus system demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2022 Owner/Author.

Strategic Optimization and Demand Response for Thermal Load Management in Multi-Regional Integrated Energy systems: A Stackelberg Game Approach

In the context of high fossil fuel consumption and inefficiency within China's energy systems, effective demand-side management is essential. This study examines the thermal characteristics of various building types across different functional areas, utilizing the concept of body coefficient to integrate their unique structural and energy use traits into a demand response framework supported by real-time pricing. We developed a Stackelberg game-based bi-level optimization model that captures the dynamic interplay of costs and benefits between integrated energy providers and users. This model is formulated into a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) problem using Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) conditions and linearized with the Big M method, subsequently solved using MATLAB and CPLEX. This approach enables distinctive management of heating loads in public and residential areas, optimizing energy efficiency while balancing the interests of both providers and users. Furthermore, the study explores how the proportion of different area types affects the potential for reducing heat loads, providing insights into the scalability and effectiveness of demand response strategies in integrated energy systems. This analysis not only highlights the economic benefits of such strategies but also their potential in reducing dependency on traditional energy sources, thus contributing to more sustainable energy system practices. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.

Influence of contact layer on the sulphur corrosion of copper conductors in power transformers

Owing to the corrosive sulphides in the mineral insulating oil such as dibenzyl disul-phide(DBDS),copper windings in oil‐immersed transformers may suffer sulphur *** study investigates the influence of different contact conditions on the corrosion of copper conductors in ***‐immersed accelerated corrosion experiment was conducted on copper conductors with various contact materials and different layers of insulating *** surface micromorphology,deposition compo-nent and the potentiodynamic polarization characteristics of copper conductors were *** results show that copper with different contact materials suffer sulphur corrosion;conversely,bare copper rarely *** was also verified that the existence of a particular gap between copper and contact layer is a significant factor in sulphur corrosion by the formation of a concentration cell on the copper *** insu-lating paper wrapped around copper conductors does not increase the corrosion ten-dency of copper;however,it contributes to the formation of a region concentrated with DBDS,Cu^(2+),H^(+)by adsorption and impediment,which plays a key role in facilitating the sulphur corrosion of copper ***,sulphur corrosion can also occur on other metal parts in transformers when there is a particular gap on surfaces other than copper.

In order to improve the power output stability and frequency stability when large-scale new energy is integrated into the grid, large-scale new energy base must consider the configuration of energy storage systems with a certain capacity. Facing the demand under the background of new energy development, this paper analyzes the positive impact of energy storage to new energy base. The configuration method of energy storage capacity is proposed, and furthermore, the proposed method is used to calculate the capacity of the energy storage system required to be configured in a typical new energy base, and the power suppression and stability improvement effects brought by the energy storage are evaluated. The case analysis results show that the required energy storage capacity of a new energy base is about 10% of its total wind power and photovoltaic capacity. This configuration ratio can basically achieve the stability of the new energy output fluctuation, and at the same time provides the same frequency regulation capability with conventional generator set of equal capacity. © 2022 IEEE.

Fiber-reinforced ceramic matrix composites, especially SiC/SiC composites, have the characteristics of lightweight, high strength, high-temperature resistance, etc., which are ideal structural candidates for aerospace vehicle components, in-plane shear performance is one of the important indicators to characterize the mechanical properties of materials and component assessment, this paper designs and processes the in-plane shear test pieces and test devices and methods to study the shear mechanical behavior under the mechanical properties and failure behavior of SiC/SiC ceramic-based fiber bundle composites are studied under shear mechanical behavior. The results show that matrix cracking and fiber fracture are the main failure modes, and there are two obvious phases in the specimen shear force-displacement curves, and fiber fracture is the main cause of strain in the specimen. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Dual Nwp Wind Speed Correction Based on Trend Fusion and Fluctuation Clustering and its Application in Short-Term Wind power Prediction

Accurate wind power prediction (WPP) can effectively ensure the safe and stable operation of power system. At present, the main input of short-term power prediction based on data-driven model is numerical weather prediction (NWP), and its prediction accuracy leads to the failure to effectively improve the accuracy of short-term power prediction. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a dual NWP wind speed (WS) correction method based on trend fusion and fluctuation clustering. First, the WS trend is used to construct a new input feature. Secondly, the error is decomposed by Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise (CEEMDAN), and the trend and fluctuation components are defined by Pearson coefficient. The trend curve features in the short 24h period were extracted from two dimensions of time and value, and the trend and fluctuation curve databases under different scenarios were formed by K-Medoids clustering. Finally, the trend component is modified by the Attention-GRU model, and the corresponding trend component is searched and matched from the database to correct the fluctuation component. The NWP WS is modified by the superposition of the two components and the short-term WPP is made. And the prediction accuracy was improved by 10% and 13.1% respectively。 © 2024, The Authors. In order to improve energy utilization and reduce carbon emissions, this paper presents a comprehensive energy system economic operation strategy of Incineration power plant power-to-gas (P2G) with waste heat recovery. First, consider the coordinated operation of Incineration power plant - P2G, introduce the refined power-to-gas two-stage operation process, add Hydrogen fuel cells on the basis of traditional power-to-gas to reduce the energy ladder loss, and recycle the Methanation reaction heat;Secondly, in order to improve the energy utilization efficiency of Incineration, it is considered to install a waste heat recovery device containing a water source heat pump to recover the waste heat of flue gas and consume some electric energy, sourced from wind power, and add a CO2 separation device to combine the recovered CO2 with P2G to synthesize CH4 to achieve carbon recycling. Finally, within the framework of a tiered carbon trading mechanism an IES optimization model for electricity-heat with the goal of minimizing the system operating cost is constructed, and the GUROBI modeling optimization engine is used to solve this model.
